Visitors who arrive at the site during main daylight hours are only allowed to stroll the perimeter pathway around the monument, a route roped off from the stone circle. However, this ‘private viewing’ tour lets your group enter the roped-off Inner Circle of stones to see the monolithic blocks at truly close quarters.

- At certain times, due to the long summer daylight hours, it is not possible to see the actual sunrise or sunset. The tour arrives as early/late as possible to enjoy the private tour inside the stones
- Please note that as the access time to Stonehenge changes by season, the order of the itinerary may change.
- We are unable to accept requests from customers wishing to join the tour at Stonehenge.

- This tour runs from April to March, with 3–4 days per week in summer and reduced operation in winter. No tours in October and November as the Stonehenge stone circle is closed.

The early morning trip to the inner circle of Stonehenge was fantastic. Our guide, John, prepared us as what to expect. So when we met the local Stonehenge guides we were able to take full advantage of this unique experience.
Then the tours of Lacock and Bath were the icing on the cake. John kept us informed of local history and our driver, Carlos, showed great skill navigating the country roads. We had plenty of time everywhere, except for Bath where you really need a whole weekend.
It was definitely worth getting up for the 5:30 a.m. start.
This tour begins with a very early start to the morning ,was up at 3.30am to be ready to arrive by 5.30am at the meeting point for the tour (depending on travel times to get there) .As it is an early start we found out they will organise Breakfast at your stop in Lacock and you will be given options that you can choose before you arrive at destination about 10.00am .My husband and I did one better and asked our hotel to prepare a little breakfast takeaway bag for us (which they were more than happy to do ) Be prepared when going out to StoneHenge (that early in morning ) for it to be very cold and also light rain (so waterproof coat/jacket is a must ) as you will be doing a lot of walking make sure you have comfortable shoes(sneakers best with good tread on soles) Our tour guide James were very knowledgeable and kept us entertained and our driver Miguel his experience driving through the very narrow streets in the Cotswolds showed as it was rather hairy in some spots with other driver's.
Bucket list experience to visit the inner circle of Stonehenge! Much better than being limited to the outer sidewalk. Rowan, our guide, and Mo, our driver, did all the hard work to make the full day experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. Bath and Laycock were amazing stops, but a late afternoon in the inner circle at Stonehenge with guides from English Heritage were the highlight of the tour.
This was the best experience ever! Rowan was a fantastic guide and kept us super engaged with information and jokes as well as balancing with time on our own. She truly made the tour so much more enjoyable. The two guides at Stonehenge were also so wonderful and clearly passionate about their work. If you’re deciding between the Inner Circle and just viewing the stones, definitely choose the inner circle and this tour!
I highly recommend this trip. The tour guide was outstanding. He was very personable and made the most of our time. Stonehenge was magnificent and we had more than enough time inside the stones. It was an unforgettable experience.
Our guide, John, and driver, Carlos, were excellent. The communications from the tour company, especially the pin point location of the starting point, were extremely important for the early morning start. Nothing can compare to the inner circle experience at Stonehenge- breathtaking! Enjoyed breakfast and the brief village tour. Caught up with a friend during our designated time in Bath. Excellent value and use of a day of sightseeing.

Eva was an absolutely amazing tour guide. Even in a big group she made everyone fee included and was so energetic and engaging from the very start. The tour itself speaks for itself. An absolutely insane experience to be inside the stones and up close. Bath was the icing on the cake. Beautiful town. Highly recommended!
This was truly one of the best tours we have ever experienced, and a huge part of that is because of our incredible tour guide, Eva. We have traveled extensively and taken many tours around the world, and Eva is honestly the best tour guide we have ever had. We wish we could have her as our guide on every tour we take!
Eva was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely dedicated to making sure everyone had the best possible experience. She shared so much fascinating information about Stonehenge, Bath, and the Roman Baths, and even when she didn’t immediately know the answer to something, she would take the time to research it and get back to us. That level of dedication was truly impressive.
She went above and beyond in every way — fighting to make sure we got the best viewing spots, helping us get amazing pictures, and giving us fantastic advice and tips throughout the day. She made the entire experience feel personal and special rather than just being another tour.
The Stonehenge Inner Circle experience was absolutely incredible, and visiting the Roman Baths in Bath was another highlight. Overall, this was an unforgettable day, and we cannot recommend this tour highly enough. If you have the opportunity to take this tour with Eva, do it! Had a great experience with Tom during a Sunset Stonehenge tour starting at 10am. Tom was a great guide with heaps of relevant info and great sense of humour, I honestly don't think I've been entertained more by any other tour guide I've had. He definitely deserves a payrise. The Stonehenge inner circle tour was of course the highlight, the views were stunning and it was well worth it. The only improvement here I would have liked was to be the group that timed it at exactly sunset - which I think the group after us managed to get but I understand that these timings are hard. Since Stonehenge was the highlight for me and the reason I booked this, I didn't really think Lacock and Bath appealed that strongly to me - I think we could have done with Lacock if I am being honest. On that note, the Viator posting doesn't really mention the Sunset tour itineary so it was hard to plan in advance what food to bring/when to get lunch ahead of time. Overall, despite these nitpicks I would thoroughtly recommend this tour to anyone.
If you are 1 minute late, they will leave you behind. True story. Zero customer service skills. Best of luck to you if you book this one.
We had an amazing day visiting the Roman Baths and Stonehenge, especially getting to experience the Stonehenge Inner Circle! Ava, our guide, was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable, but also genuinely funny — I loved her sense of humor, and she kept us entertained throughout the day. Carlos, our driver, was great as well. Together, they made the entire experience enjoyable, and everything felt very well organized.
We were two adults traveling with an infant and were honestly a little nervous about how a full-day tour like this would work with a baby, especially when it came to diaper changes, bathrooms, and bringing our stroller. Thankfully, it was much easier than we expected! There were bathrooms and places to change our baby at every stop, and the tour was stroller-friendly for the most part. They were also able to store our stroller underneath the bus, which was extremely helpful.
I also wanted to mention that the tour was mobility-friendly and manageable for older travelers. While some areas naturally involve walking, we noticed that the stops were accessible and there were options that made it possible for people who may need to take things at a slower pace. Between that and how organized the tour was, it seemed very accommodating for a range of ages and mobility levels.
There was a bathroom on the bus as well, although we were told its availability isn’t always guaranteed. We never needed to use it because there were bathrooms at each stop, and I honestly didn’t notice anyone else needing to use the bus bathroom either.
We had the only baby on board, and we still felt completely comfortable throughout the day. Everyone at the places we visited was also very kind and welcoming.
The highlight was absolutely the Stonehenge Inner Circle experience. We almost booked with another tour company, but they weren’t offering Inner Circle access, and I am SO glad we chose this tour instead. Being able to actually go inside the circle made the experience so much more special and was completely worth it.
For any parents wondering whether they can do this tour with a baby or young child — I would absolutely recommend it! Just come prepared like you normally would for a full day out with your little one. We were the only family with a baby on our bus, and it worked out wonderfully.
One other thing I really appreciated: be on time! They leave about five minutes after the designated meeting/call time, which I personally think is exactly how a tour should be run. Everyone is given a time to return, and it isn’t fair for an entire bus of people who showed up on time to lose part of their tour waiting for people who are late. I’ve been on other tours where everyone had to sit around waiting for late guests, so I really appreciated that this company kept the day moving and respected everyone’s time.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Ava was hilarious and such a great guide, Carlos was a great driver, the Roman Baths were beautiful, and the Stonehenge Inner Circle was unforgettable. We are SO happy we chose this tour over the other company we were considering. If you’re debating whether the Inner Circle experience is worth it — do it! And if you’re traveling with a baby or have an older family member with mobility concerns, from our experience, this was a very manageable and enjoyable tour!
Absolutely incredible! The town of Bath and Lacock were delightful. Did the Roman Bath tour as well and really enjoyed. Our tour guide Nicholas was so friendly and informative. He had a wealth of knowledge and information! I would book this tour for sure. Not one you want to miss!
Get ready to be amazed. The incredible size of these rocks will overwhelm you. The enthusiasm of the guides will increase your excitement to be in the middle of such a unique historic event. The trip to Bath was also very enlightening (those Romans were superb engineers). But the inner circle in Stonehenge is a profound experience.
It's an awesome site and our tour guide onto Stonehenge and the inner circle were experts of the history. It was cold, wet and windy, so dress appropriately.
Bath is a lovely city with lots of small shops and eateries. The Roman baths are interesting. Lacock is small and not necessarily needed as a stop, but was interesting. Stonehenge is a true world experience!!! Make sure to bring snacks because there is limited time to get food at any of the stops and still see the sites. It is a full 12hr day.
We enjoyed the activity itself- stone henge inner circle was excellent. Communication & itinerary had room for improvement- for instance we packed snacks and coffee but there was a stop along the way for coffee, restrooms, and snacks so was unnecessary. Then, it is advertised as lunch at a pub but it’s a choice of three items from a pub that are actually breakfast. Lalock is a cool place but not much time to explore. The walking tour part in bath (before going into the actual baths) was a bit dull and would have preferred to do the baths and then have free time to explore.
Worst part of the whole thing- the guide practically forced reviews while we were on the bus- waking us up and not giving up on scanning the QR code. We heard a variety of reasons people didn’t want to leave reviews, but he was persistent. This was particularly off putting and for that reason I wouldn’t recommend this specific tour to others. An ask for a review is fine, a hard push is not.
The tour was not as it said in the description. The guide talked way too much about irrelevant things and said some things that were not factual and pushed us along too quickly. The tour gets the three because going into the circle was good but I wouldn't recommend anyone use this company to do that.

100% worth spending the extra money on the inner circle tour. We had 2 guide hosts that were great at sharing information and chatting with us. I was hesitant about have a whole hour at the stones, but it flew by…wish I had more time.
We have travelled the world, but TOM was THE BEST tour guide we have ever had. He was fun, entertaining and very knowledgeable. He was educating us but in a fun way. Stonehenge inner circle is a MUST. Why just look from outside if you can go right up to the stones. Walk amongst them. Mo was a great driver. He was very helpful with my husbands walker. I would say this is a necessary tour. DO NOT MISS the inner circle and do not miss TOM.
The entire day was exceptional. Getting to experience the inner circle was a true bucket list experience. John was a great guide for the day, bringing knowledge, logistics and a bit of humor all together to make the day perfect. Lacock was really cool, definitely worth the stop. I didn't do the Bath museum, instead I spent time tooling around the city of Bath which was off great. Had time to do some shopping, see the Royal crescent, see the bridge, walk through the park and even grab a pint! Would absolutely recommend this trip, and do the inner circle if you can!
This was my biggest bucket list item and I was willing to pay extra to experience it. Rowen and Mo were great... I was really worried as my mobility has deteriorated since I booked this 6 months ago, but was determined to see the stones up close and they didn't disappoint. the walking was a lot and the only thing I would suggest is that the buses drop you off and then move to the waiting area instead of making everyone walk all that extra way for no apparent reason.
Being able to go into the inner circle was amazing and if you get the opportunity do it.. we did the sunset (bonus it was the evening of the eclipse) shout out to the security at the stones (appologize I didn't get your name) was wonderful.... I couldn't stand any longer and they got me a chair to sit on while I waited for the group to finish... made sure I was okay... so grateful! And I can say I DID IT ..lol
Truly amazing experience! This tour lets you walk inside the stones which is the only way to experience Stonehenge. The stops in Bath and Lacock were an added bonus! Got to see favorite movie sites from Harry Potter and bridgerton too! Eva was a wonderful guide for the whole trip! 100 percent worth the cost and the early morning!!!

NOT PRIVATE. Shocking that this has not been pointed out in reviews. Tours were fine, guide was lovely. But don’t get expectations up. Very misleading to call this private, and there are loads of less expensive tours.

We would like to clarify that this tour is not advertised as a private tour. It is a shared tour that includes a private viewing of Stonehenge. As clearly stated in the Additional Information section on Viator, the group size can be up to 51 travellers.

I have been to Stonehenge twice now and getting to into the inner circle this time was worth it. It really changes the experience. You can see the details of the stones better (graffiti, engineering, carving). Didn't have time to the museum but I was ok with that.
If you are questioning whether to spend the xtra $ to do this inside the stones tour, just do it! It was an amazing experience!
The tour coach left without me. In speaking with the tour company before departure time I let them know of the delays and that I made it to the meeting stop and they informed me the coach had left. They suggested I could meet the tour in Bath but I would have to pay for my own transportation there and I would miss out on half the Bath experience and admission to the Bath museum. In trying to speak with Viator they would not provide a full or even partial refund or even transfer my ticket to a cheaper alternative tour that they offer. I will not be using them in future and recommend unless you are within walking distance of the meeting point do not use them or Premium Tours Limited the tour group this experience was with.
