Our guide Fouland (not sure about spelling) was fantastic! Very informative and experienced. It was a small group. The path is well maintained with some steep sections but long. Bridges were fun with great views! Definitely worth a visit and ask for Foiland

This was our favorite part of our Costa Rica trip! We saw so much wildlife thanks to Roberto F who was our tour guide. He pointed everything out to us which was so helpful because there is no way we would have seen ANYTHING without him. Definitely need a tour guide for this excursion and Roberto was the best!

The trail has more incline and decline than I thought. My father who had bad hips had a difficult time with the trail. Everyone else in the group had no problem.

I was hesitant to book a guided tour but I’m so glad we did!!! Frau was the best guide! He pointed out animals that we would walked right by. We saw pit vipers, lizards, and hummingbirds, awesome birds, and the highlight, spider monkeys! What an incredible experience! Book the tour! Just do it!

The park is beautiful but the directions upon arrival were unclear and we were sent to the wrong parking lot. This caused us to arrive to the check in desk 5 minutes after the tour time but while all groups were still standing waiting for the tour to begin. We were unable to join a tour and were offered to start an hour later which unfortunately conflicted with our second scheduled activity for the day. The guides and employees made a stressful morning with two little kids traveling 45 minutes at 6am a very disappointing experience and a complete waste of money. I would never recommend paying for a guided tour, it is not at all worth the cost.

Great sightseeing and you will definitely see a variety of animals, but I guess this is very guide dependent because our guide Alverro was hardly of any use, definitely seems like he didn’t want to be there and was rushing us through the whole thing, and barely explained anything to us. Overall I enjoyed but I would def keep in mind that some guides may not be great

Angelica gave us a wonderful tour. Beautifully paced. Appreciated her use of a high powered telescope and making sure everyone in our group got to see the animals, ask questions and get lots of great pictures
It’s worth wearing good sturdy walking shoes. I’d say it’s more than 50% uphill. Angelica made several stops to give us great local info.
Loved that we were able to go BACK through after the tour ended to take a few of the offshoot paths.

Walking on a concrete path and over 4-5 hanging metal bridges. Pretty but saw the same on other hikes in the area. Nothing really spectacularly different

We had a wonderful time with Raul. He was extremely knowledgeable and very patient with our two boys 9&11 who asked a lot of questions during the tour. Would highly recommend this tour! We would not have seen any of the animas without a guide. We were able to see monkeys, eyelash viper, toucans, lizards, frogs, hummingbirds

Tour was ok. Where other guides stopped to show people things ours did not. there should of been some sort of notice talling about the VERY STEEP inclines

We saw great plant life but not able to see much birds or animals even though we went early on. This does not reflect on the guide who was knowledgeable but I would recommend going here with low expectations on seeing the animals.

This was a great tour. Our guide, Angelica, was super knowledgeable. She pointed out a snake, lizard, a frog, and some birds that we wouldn’t have spotted on our own. Highly recommend getting a guide. We were not as lucky and didn’t spot any monkeys. Angelica helped us guide through the various bridges. We felt that we would have been lost without her. Our group included two other families besides ours and it didn’t feel crowded. Worth the money!!

A great experience walking through the rainforest with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, Gabriel, who pointed out snakes, lizards and frogs which we wouldn’t have seen otherwise and through communicating with other guides, led us to groups of monkeys. The walk is great and you can do on your own at your own pace but guided, we felt we saw so much more. Well done worth doing and great value

Awesome experience. But our 2 hour tour was apparently a 4 hour tour with our guide who stopped constantly. While some might enjoy this, we had kids and it was a tour around lunch time, so not staying on schedule threw a huge wrench in our day. Kids starving. kids tired of standing around talking about multiple trees. After 2 hours we finally had to branch off (we had only finished a quarter of the tour at this point) and see ourselves through the rest of the trail. Gorgeous park though!

This was a very nice hike with a knowledgeable guide. It is a very easy hike mostly along a path but there are about 7 hanging bridges which provide an opportunity to see above the forest which is amazing! We saw and learned about several different plants and animals including the eyelash viper snake! The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the number of people on the trail without guides that made it a bit crowded at times when they wanted to pass while we were stopped to look at something. Our group was made up of 10 people and a guide which was perfect. I think it is worth paying for a guide because they are able to spot things that you might never see otherwise, and they can answer questions and provide very interesting information on everything in the jungle.

We went at 11am - didn't see many furry animals, our guide showed us some snakes, ants, bugs, and a vulture. It's luck of the draw of what you will see. In other areas of the parks at the same time, people saw howler monkeys and anteaters but unfortunately with where we were in the park , we didn't see too many animals we were excited about. For the price, I don't think I saw what I wanted which I also recognize is out of the control of our guide.

A sensational experience where we got to see a range of animals. Our guide Donald gave an insightful tour with an experience 100% worthwhile. On our tour, we captured great photos and even better memories. A highlight were frogs fighting for territory.

Very cool rainforest experience, raining on the day we visited do mostly got views of animals and not the mountains. Some of the trails are steep and the bridges wobble but it’s worth it!

Wonderful experience, even in a downpour of rain. I truly enjoyed it and I loved how knowledgeable our guide was. The guide is absolutely worth paying for and has a set of binoculars for you to observe creatures you would otherwise not see.
If you forget a poncho when it’s raining, you can buy a good quality one for $14 at their store.

Brilliant experience!
I’m scared of heights but it felt safe and our tour guide was very knowledgable and interesting.
The weather was really not good - persistent rain, but then it is a rain forest!! Saw a few birds, 2 snakes and a sleepy monkey. I think they were all hiding from the rain!!
We went at 10am but I’d recommend going as early as you can to avoid the crowds which were definitely growing as we left about 12.30. Also apparently , the earlier you go the more wildlife you’ll see!
A great experience which helped me overcome some of my fears!!!
