Dan was a great guide and very well prepared. We saw lots of frogs (including the red eyed tree frog!), butterflies, leafcutter ants, etc. The path through the park was well paved and not muddy, even though it started pouring during the tour. I think it would be better if they could talk some more about the plants in the park as a lot of them look really cool! Overall would highly recommend :) I'm glad the tour helps support conservation in the area as well!

This tour was fantastic! Our guide was very informative and we got to see lots of wildlife! Just remember the bug spray, those mosquitoes are a killer in the evening.

Our family had a very informative night walk. Our guide gave us a lot of interesting information about the rainforest and its inhabitants. We saw a sloth and a boa and many frogs and insects. It did rain a lot of the walk but if you wear a poncho it’s not a problem. Also, make sure to wear bug spray, we did get bitten several times. Overall, a fun time!

Shayla was the best tour guide, she made this such a fun experience for my family we saw slots, frogs, spiders, lizards and even a few birds sleeping in the trees. Shayla was knowledgeable about the eco system here and we learned so much. Did you know red eye tree frogs will attach themselves to each other to mate for up to a week?!

We had so much fun exploring the rainforest at night! Our family of five was guided by Christopher on a 2-hour tour. We were shocked at the amount of critters we were able to see on this hike...everything from raccoons, snakes, frogs and spiders to beautiful vegetation and so much more! Chris was knowledgable, friendly, and let us set the pace of the tour. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for something adventurous and educational!

We saw 13 different frogs/toads, a snake and a sloth! The tour guide Roberto was excellent, very knowledgeable about the wildlife and plants. Loved this tour, my favorite tour in costa Rica. Worth it!

Very cool night walk out in the rainforest. Our guide made sure that we saw slithers, as well as frogs, a porcupine, and a cayman. The place is a little far out of town in the middle of nowhere so best to book if you have a car

This experience was so awesome and nothing like we’d ever done before. It was just my fiancé and I so our tour guide, Shayla, let us start early because she wanted to make sure we saw the sloth that was out!! She even made sure we got a perfect picture of it. The rain didn’t stop us- if anything it brought more out. She was so knowledgeable on every single animal and plant we saw. She even knew where some of the animals routinely came back to sleep. I think it was the perfect length- a decent sized loop that passed several lagoons and even some cascades! We were so excited to have seen what we did and we got some awesome pictures!

This was an amazing tour! Shayla was so good at spotting the animals. She even called a cayman over and we saw it upfront. The walk was not stressful my 4 year old could do it. Overall this tour was so worth it and we would do it again if given the chance.

This tour is amazing and I cannot say enough positive things about this excursion. We (2 adults, 1 young child) did a private night tour with Shyla and it was super informative and exciting. We saw tree frogs mating, saw a coral snake, and so many other interesting creatures. Anura Ecotourism is about 22 minutes outside of La Fortuna downtown area. Highly recommend for families (even with younger children)

Alberto made this walk absolutely amazing. His love for and knowledge of the land and animals made this so fun. This tour was so fun!! It is definitely for someone that is patient and okay with not seeing many animals. Our guide was Francisco (AMAZING btw) and he did a great job at finding and explaining the insects and animals that we saw. In our tour, we didn't really see too much, which was okay with me. Like our guide explained, its nature, so we can't really know what that day will be there, and it has been the dryer season so not a lot of animals are drawn to the ponds there.
