This place came highly rated and it didn't disappoint. Our tour guide was Cesar, who was amazing. He was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. The tasting was more generous than I expected, and the bonbons making was so much fun. What I didn't expect was the homemade chocolate drink that the group made collectively. Cesar did a great job of group participation. I highly recommend this tour to anyone in the area.
We arrived early, so we ordered some empanadas and fruit drinks. Best of each we've had thus far on our trip.

Amazing experience! I went solo but I had an amazing time. Porfi was my tour guide and he was very informative & funny, he made me feel comfortable and included me in the activities of the tour. Learned so much about chocolate & even got to taste a bunch/take a little treat home. Would definitely come back!

A wonderful tour!
Our guide was excellent, very informative and enthusiastic. It was great to learn about the process of making chocolate and see the stages from the bean to the chocolate itself! It was also fun to be included in different processes such as the grinding of the beans.
We loved the tasting and creating of our own chocolate’s and this really made the tour stand out!
I would definitely recommend doing this tour!

I really enjoyed this tour. We were a small group of 7 people. First the guide explained us the different cacao plants and the process, then we proceeded to tasting the raw flavor as well as the melted chocolate incl different spices. We also made our own pralines and hat a chocolate water in the end!

Not many things hold my teenagers attention, but the tour at Eden Chocolate was a surprising exception. Our tour guide, Porfirio, engaged my teens in every step of the chocolate making process from letting them cut open and taste the fruit to grinding up cocoa pods to make Teobroma. The best part was making their own chocolate bonbons to take home. Both teens said that this tour was their favorite activity of the day.

We looked at several tours of coffee and/or chocolate farms around La Fortuna and I’m so happy we chose Eden Chocolate Farm. They are a small organic chocolate farm and the tour was great. Nelson was our guide and he was very informative, answering all of the adult questions while still keeping the kids engaged and learning. He did our tour in Spanish, but also spoke English. The tour was super interactive for kids, they got to taste everything from the raw seeds to the finished chocolate. They got to ride the bike that grinds the beans, try grinding by hand like the Olmec and made their own chocolates, adding different spices and toppings and sampling each. We learned about the history of the fruit and got to make and try an indigenous chocolate drink. All in all it was a great tour, the grounds are beautiful with a nice restaurant overlooking a river. The lunch was also very good, served by a very courteous staff! We all loved it!

Cesar was an engaging and informative host as he introduced us to the flora and fauna on the property. Through a warm, interactive environment, he took us through the process of collecting the cacao pods to the final product that we helped to create with our own flavour profiles!

We had Ceaser as our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and had great energy throughout the tour. The cocoa plantation is beautiful and would highly reccomend this tour to anyone wanting to learn the history and process of cocoa. We tried lots of chocolate, hot chocolate and made bonbons. We had a wonderful time!

My friends and I had a great experience! Our guide was very kind and funny. She was knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions my friends and I had. The tour lasted exactly as long as was described on the booking and was the perfect amount of time. This tour would be great for any age group.

Nelson was so much fun and truly made the tour extra special! The experience included a short walk around the plantation where we learned about the different varieties of cocoa and how they are processed into chocolate. We were able to taste different chocolates, make our own bonbons, and even help prepare a special chocolate drink as a group. We learned a lot and had a great time. There was even singing and dancing during the chocolate-making process, which made it even more memorable. Highly recommend!
