The hike is beautiful and the trails well-maintained and very walkable. Absolutely stunning scenery! Ramon, our guide, was excellent! He expertly spotted wildlife and helped us take great photos. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him as a guide.

It’s a must do excursion. and I’d highly recommend getting a tour guide to show you all the hidden opportunities to see animals that are hidden in the rain forest.
If you get a chance to hire Luis for your tour, do it because he’s the man, with his knowledge, skills, customer service and over all “Pura Vida” mindset help make our excursion one to remember.

Our guide was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the area. We had a wonderful time! We would recommend.
We really enjoyed this short 2 - 3 hour tour! It was our first time in La Fortuna, Costa Rica and we knew we needed to do this tour while we were there! We really enjoyed the walk and hanging bridges. Our tour guide Monica was very upbeat and knowledgeable about the creatures we saw there. We stopped at the right amount of times. I would say that it was a moderate hike that was nice to do with family. We 10/10 recommend this tour!!
My wife and kids (ages 7 and 9) and I all really enjoyed our Mistico Hanging Bridges tour. Our guide was Monica, and she was great--very friendly and knowledgeable! With her help, we saw two pit vipers, a motmot bird, monkeys, poison dart frogs, iguanas, a basilisk, a nesting hummingbird, a tarantula, and even a glass frog. Best of all, with her help we were able to get great pictures of all of these animals! Our tour was at 8am, but I was still sweating like crazy, so be sure to dress appropriately.
This tour left a lot to be desired. The location itself is amazing, but our guide, Carlos, made the experience disappointing.
My wife was celebrating her 50th birthday and mentioned that seeing a toucan was at the top of her wish list. Carlos responded by calling her "caprichosa" (spoiled), which came across as rude and dismissive.
We also booked an English tour, but it ended up being bilingual. While we understand Spanish, having every explanation repeated in two languages made the tour feel slow and repetitive. At one point, when we walked just a few steps ahead while waiting, Carlos called us "impatient," which we found unprofessional and insulting.
He also seemed frustrated whenever we asked questions. Meanwhile, when our group was stopped on a bridge, he spent 10–15 minutes giving detailed travel advice to a family that wasn't even part of the paid tour, while those of us who had paid simply waited.
Unfortunately, he didn't point out much wildlife, and by the end we found ourselves following other tour groups whose guides were enthusiastically spotting animals with telescopes and sharing fascinating facts about the rainforest.
I regret paying for this tour. If I visit again, I'd skip the paid guided tour.
Great experience and we had an awesome guide! We saw dart frogs, spider monkeys, and a ton of other stuff. The bridges were great! Definitely recommend!
Our guide Danny was amazing. He showed us wildlife. We would’ve never seen on our own, was very sensitive to my fear of heights and made the tour enjoyable for everybody.
We had an excellent experience with Monica. Our car was right on time for pickup and we were a group of about 10-- Monica remembered all of our names within the first five minutes. She did a great job on the tour of spotting various animals and despite the heavy rain we managed to see a howler monkey, a sloth, an eyelash viper, a tarantula , and a tiny little poison dart frog. She was great with our kids and kept them engaged as well! We highly recommend using a tour for the Mistico hanging bridges, we definitely would not have seen all these animals on our own and we learned so much!
Our guide, Byron and Steven picked us up from our hotel and took us into the rainforest to experience this tour. Byron was very knowledgeable about the rainforest. We walked about 2+ miles and crossed over 7 hanging bridges. Each guide carried a spotting scope to see the creatures, you're able to take pics with your camera too. Make sure you look up, down, over, in, everywhere because there are critters everywhere. We saw monkeys, snakes, leaf cutters, owls, butterflies, and birds just to name a few. The bridges were beautiful to cross. If you're lucky there's a waterfall you can venture down to if the weather is favorable.
A charming lady called Monique was our guide. There was a group of 8 of us and she expanded everything in Spanish and English. We had a great time and got good picture by using her scope. Highly recommended
We had a great time. Monica was super friendly and knowledgeable on all of the wildlife and plants. She was able to spot a lot of hard to see wildlife and our kids had a great time.
I enjoyed this tour. Danny was our guide, very chill and laid back personality with sarcastic jokes, also very attentive to the group. I had some anxiety going over our first hanging bridge and he took the time to check in with me and see how I was doing. I appreciated that very much. He had a scope with him as well to get zoomed in photos on some animals and insects, he also took photos for us on our phones to have. It was a mild hike, no steps really but more steep points going up and down. I was sore from a more strenuous hike the day before, but was able to do it. There was some traffic before the first bridge but it's because we all wanted to get photos and also there's only 15 ppl allowed on the bridge at a time for safety. I'd recommend this tour to a friend.
My friends and I could not have been more impressed with our experience on the hanging bridge tour. Our tour guide Marlin had some eagle eyes and spotted so much wildlife that we never would’ve seen on the self-guided tour. Marlin has close to 30 years in the field and is an experienced guide and knowledgeable of all thing Costa Rica. I highly recommend going on the tour, pay a little extra and you’ll see a lot more. We saw all kinds of creatures like poison dart and glass eyed frogs, eyelash viper, tarantulas, bee hive, bullet ants, tiger ants and a basalisk lizard. We also saw a cute fuzzy things like a sloth, spider monkeys, and coatis. Both the monkeys and coatis had babies! Very exciting! Lastly we saw a broad billed mot mot and toucan. We learned so much about the plant life. Oh ya there were bridges! It was a very cool experience being way up high in the tree tops and seeing the spider monkeys from the bridges going from Branch to Branch. You could see so much of the jungle and it was just a great view of the water flowing blue in some of the areas. The bridges did rock a little bit, but I felt really comfortable going across each one. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is looking to experience the wildlife and Plant life of Costa Rica and experience the view from the top of the trees on the hanging bridges. A tour I would have to say was my favorite of everything I experienced in Costa Rica.
We had an incredible experience on the Hanging Bridges tour and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the La Fortuna area. The rainforest was absolutely beautiful, and walking through the canopy on the bridges provided stunning views and a unique perspective of the jungle.
What truly made this tour exceptional was our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the wildlife and ecosystem. His ability to spot animals that we would have completely missed was amazing. During our tour, we saw a tarantula, spider monkeys, a glass frog, an eyelash green viper, a toucan, and even a sloth on our way to the rainforest. Each sighting came with interesting facts and explanations that made the experience educational as well as exciting.
This tour exceeded our expectations and gave us memories that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking for an unforgettable rainforest adventure, this is the tour to book! Ask for Marlon
We were picked up by Monica and Alejandro (driver) and transported to the Mistico Park. Monica was our amazing guide - she was informative and incredibly able to spot the wildlife that we would not have otherwise seen, including a sloth and an anteater! The actual bridges were lots of fun and a great way to see the scenery. I would warn that certain parts require a bit of uphill walking but nothing too strenuous - and it's worth it!
There were communication problems about the meeting place. This led to a 30 minute delay. There is also more than 10 people in the group.
Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable and we saw a few animals. I will say for the price—I’m not sure it’s worth hiring a guide. I would just buy a pair of binoculars and pay the entrance fee.
We had a great time during this tour. Monica and Keylor were great. We saw a lot of exotic bird and animal species including macaws, frogs, spider monkeys, sloths, to name a few. Monica our tour guide was exceptional and shared so much about the incredible flora and fauna of Arenal. The Hanging bridges were amazing. Thoroughly recommend this tour.
Absolutely incredible! Our guide was so great. He made the trip, was able to spot animals we never would have seen! Went above and beyond to get great pictures thru his scope!
Although the title of the experience is the hanging bridges, the real experience for us was more about the wildlife. Our guide was amazing at finding wildlife and we saw a howler monkey, spider monkey, toucan and more. He was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife, even the leafcutter ants which are more interesting than they sound. If you're looking just to experience the bridges and not stop to look for wildlife you should go on your own. The pace was no fast, but this was one of the best places we found wildlife so it was worth it for us.
Excellent experience, definitely worth going with a guide! They are full of knowledge and know how to spot the wildlife. The only downside was how crowded it was at 8am on a Wednesday in March. There were too many tours going on at the same time.
The hike is beautiful and the trails well-maintained and very walkable. Absolutely stunning scenery! Ramon, our guide, was excellent! He expertly spotted wildlife and helped us take great photos. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him as a guide.
We were picked up from our hotel on time. Our tour guide Danny was very knowledgeable about the area , history, plants and wildlife . He pointed out many plants and wildlife during our tour of hanging bridges. I highly recommend this tour to all .
This is a park with a series of bridges constructed for the purpose of giving you a bird's eye view of the natural jungle area in which they have been constructed. As you walk from one bridge to another the guide very helpfully points out various flora and fauna that the untrained eye is likely to miss. Some of the bridges are mostly rigid and others more likely to sway as people ahead of you walk them (which can feel a bit like being on a boat). Great views and a great guide who taught us much.
Great experience Ramon is a great guide he pointed out so many creatures! Saw monkeys, lotta birds and many other things. Great activity to do!
The tour guide was amazing! Our group was a mixture of individuals of varying challenges. Yet, the guide had the ability to monitor and set the pace to accommodate the group as a whole. I highly recommend this adventure and the tour guide.
Such a great experience! Our guide Monica was DARLING & super fun to listen to & very knowledgeable.
We saw howler monkeys, vipers, a tarantula and learned so much! Jonathan was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and made the trip fun!!
It was great, seen a lot of wild life. Our guide Marlon we amazing and spotted so many animals. I would definitely recommend Marlon to everyone, very knowledgeable and a real nice guy.
What a great experience, thank you so much to Luís, an experienced guide who gave us more than one could expect, professional, kind, sensitive to nature, and very generous; we saw snakes, toucans, birds, the sloth, in short, a dream!!! Thanks to Eduardo the driver!
