We chose to do this the day after we landed as it was a long travel day. That was the right move. This was fun, relaxing and a unique experience for my 8 year-old daughter. The views were beautiful, staff very friendly and the different pools were fun. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are 3 slides that are insane! Purchasing tickets online was a way better choice. There was a long line when we arrived and we were able to go right to the front, check-in and then head into the hot springs. We added the dinner option to our visit. Lunch buffet runs from 12-3, dinner runs from 5-8/9 (can’t remember). There is a restaurant toward the entrance if you need a snack and there are swim up bars located through the hot springs for drinks or smoothies.

We spent about 3.5 hours at this resort. The pools were fine. The water slides was really fun, border line dangerous. Bunch of people were walking away with back, head banged up. I saw a couple of smaller kids who not knowingly went into the middle slide and were crying at the end. I do not recommended using a third party operator like Arenal hike adventures to book this place. Just contact them directly and book it. It will be cheaper and you don’t have to purchase the 1 meal plan. They are charging $24/person for meal. You can eat really well for much less than that other places. Once you have the wristband, you can leave the place and then come back.

We did the day pass and traveled from San Jose! The staff was very friendly and kind. The views were gorgeous and the hot springs were relaxing. This day pass included a meal and we decided on lunch. It was a buffet and the food was good!

Impressive hot springs. We did the all day pass with buffet and checked in at 10am. 15+ pools with some cool pools. Temps on the signs were not always correct, but a good range of temps and several areas to get shade if you want. We checked in at 10 and left midday to hike arenal, then came back, showered, and went back for a few more hours. Drinks are reasonably priced and fun to enjoy in the swim up pools. Buffet was solid with a good variety of food options and nice to take a break from the pools and sun. We all liked the waterslides but they are fast and the adults hit the bottom of the pool on the fastest one, so we just let the kids do that one :) Would definitely go back.

The place is very nice, with multiple hot springs. Regular temperature is 109°F, but you will find 96°F or even 68°F, which is still good. I will recommend the option with lunch real. Good Costa Rican—good You can rent a towel for a 10-dollar refundable deposit. Seinks are $10-30 and beer $12. The hotel has a spa, and you can take a 50 min massage for $104. Great for families but the slides are very fast and hurt your body.

Scam alert! They took our $325, confirmed our reservation, and never paid Baldi Hot Springs. We were denied entry into the excursion. No one answered the phone calls or email messages. This is a scam!

This was incredibly relaxing!!! I loved the swim up bars with the incredible drinks. It wasn't too busy when we went on a Saturday evening so there was enough space for "private" thermals. The buffet was also incredible. The chicken they offered was amazing and I might dream about it for a while.

Great way to spend a day- very relaxing and not too crowded on a weekday. Lots of pool options including a few spots good to sit in the water and read for a few hours. We got the option with lunch which was a solid buffet meal. Would go back

This was so relaxing! There were so many pools to choose from! We enjoyed the natural sauna and hot pool the most. It melted all our stress away. The buffet dinner was also delicious everything was so fresh!

We had a wonderful time at Baldi! We read a lot of reviews about how crowded it would be, but we went right at 10:00 am and it was not at all crowded that early (and this was during the very busy week of New Year's!). I went with my husband and 11-year-old twins and we all loved it. The various pools were secluded and beautiful with varying degrees of heat. The slides were fast but our boys loved them - and again, early in the morning, there were no lines. I would definitely recommend to Baldi for families looking to enjoy hot springs for the day!

The pools are numerous and varied. . The surroundings are beautiful. The water slides are FAST and scary. The buffet meal was good. We appreciated the lockers and towels. The drinks are expensive.

We had a great day at the Baldi Hotsprings. There are tons of pools with varied temps. Everyone will find one they like.
The lunch buffet was great. I saw several reviews saying it was "meh" but honestly for a buffet style, it was good. 0 complaints.
Now the slides. O the slides. Okay so first off, this is Costa Rica, not the US. With that said, it's clear the design standards are different. You get tossed around a bunch in the slides. My kids 10 and 13 LOVED them. One slide says it makes you go up to 27 MPH and I beleive it. They never felt unsafe, but if you go expecting the slides to feel like a normal US Waterpark, you'll be in for a rude awakening.
Finally, my wife commented how clean the park was. She's picky when it comes to this and frankly she rated the cleanliness up there with the Disney World water park.
All in all it was a fun day for the kids and relaxing for the adults.

When booking for tour at Viator, it was confusing. It says one meal included and asked for entry time. Didn’t realize that its meal time and had to follow up and request for meal time change. Not a great experience

I was hesitant that the atmosphere would be too loud and have a party vibe based on some reviews, but we were in awe of the beautiful grounds and pools. Every pool had a different temperature, and it wasn’t overcrowded (we went during the day). We could find our own little pools to enjoy while listening to the birds. My whole family truly enjoyed the day there and didn’t want to leave.

A great variety of hot springs, from relaxing and tranquil, too, fun and playful. Different temperatures of hot spring pools, with some cold pools sprinkled in for a break from the heat. The lunch was better than the negative reviews.Lead you to believe, but make sure you dress appropriately.My daughter did have to go back to the locker to get a different set of clothing to eat lunch. If you are looking for a water park, full of people experience kind of thing this is your thing. Otherwise, go somewhere else. We had to get in line and pay for towels and a locker because it was super crowded.
Also, the young guy at the front desk couldn't care less about my family needs and wasn't really helpful.

The resort was very nice, and the lunch buffet did not disappoint. The hot springs were great to relax in after the previous day's activities. Gorgeous hot springs with a variety of pools to swim in! Choosing your lunch / dinner time made it unclear when we could arrive / leave, so I wish the timeframe that we could spend at Baldi was fully laid out. Lockers are available to rent for $7 and towels can be "rented" with a cash deposit.
All of those things are expected and hardly took away from the experience! The main thing that did was that the drinks were labeled on the menu for $12, but somehow, my sister was charged $41.80 for 2 drinks. That caught us a bit off guard. Otherwise, we had a great time.
