Exactly as described. Driver comes to your hotel on time. You may stop and pick up other people from other hotels. The trip is very somber. You visit both sites with a guide.

Incredible but Harrowing Experience

The organisation was excellent and our tour guide was so knowledgeable and how she could talk for 1.5 hours was incredible. Our group was about 25 in number and I tended to be at he back of the group and in some buildings , the commentary on my receiver was breaking up. However, that did not retract from the tour. The tour bears testimony to what the human race is capable of. The enormity of the Birkenhau Camp is hard to take in and you only realise it's actual size when you see it in real life.

The man that took us to the camps was very nice and friendly, and our tour guide at the camps was very informative, spoke very good English and was really friendly. Would highly recommend

The tour was interesting however we felt it was too rushed. The guide did not wait until all the party was assembled before starting to talk at each location. Much better to go on your own and take your time, to be able to read the information and absorb the events of that time.

Surreal experience but a must do

This is an experience we weren't sure about doing due to the nature of what it was. However, our tour guide was really thorough and talked about a lot of information we didn't know about already. Although the feeling of walking round Auschwitz and Birkenau was emotional and eerie and surreal it is a must do when visiting Krakow to really educate yourself on what happened and puts a lot into perspective.

Good communication before the tour. Driver was on time for set pick up time and shuttled us various spots efficiently. He actually spoke pretty good English. We had same tour guide at Auschwitz and Birkenau which was good continuity and she was very good. There were 2 other couples on the tour for total of 6 people. We were offered brown bag lunch which we did purchase. I would probably skip that and bring our own sandwiches since the sandwiches provided barely had any meat and the banana was too unripe to eat.

Full of information and facts, though many heartbreaking and shocking. The tour is done in good taste and very respectful. Our tour guide spoke good clear English and we were able to ask questions. The food and drink is reasonably priced but you have to pay to use the toilet. Wear comfy shoes as there’s a lot of walking involved
