Poor App Interface, little information provided
I expected more for that price
From organisational point of view all worked out well

At the last moment the tickets to the Nasrid palaces were not available and, in addition, the app with audio did not work well for us for the rest of the tour. It worked at first and then, at a certain point, for all of us, the audio stopped playing. The money for the palaces portion of the tour was returned so I appreciate that.

The experience was handled through a Viator consolidator based in Andalusia. I discovered this after purchasing the tickets and when I did a search to find out more about the tour operator, the reviews were ghastly. However, the minute I contacted Viator about my concerns they assured me that the tour operator was legitimate and that we would have no problem and in fact, it was true. We received our tickets as requested 48-hours in advance of the tour which was self-guided which I highly recommend especially if you are a couple or small group. Even in the off-season it was busy and being on our own made it easier to side-step 'influencers' and other photo-obsessed people. The weather was gorgeous with a pleasant climate the day we made the tour. It is heavenly but at the same time tiring. I imagine when it's hotter, it could be even more so. The vistas, the Palaces and the Generalife Gardens are all overwhelmingly beautiful. I would rate it as one of the top sites to visit in the world. In preparation for the trip, I read up on the history of the Alhambra and also watched a very good video I found on YouTube. It is something I'd encourage if you choose the self-guided tour.

We wouldn't recommend the travel operator we booked through. We booked a 12pm timeslot for the Nazrid Palace but when the tickets came through, it was for 1pm. The audio guide was no more than an app you had to download to your phone (using valuable data) and accessed with your own headphones, so not sure what we paid all the money to the ticket operator for. Very disappointed.

I booked 11 o’clock to do a guided tour , I didn’t expect this to mean I had to be there for 8:30 to walk Generalife. The information i revived via the app wasn’t very clear, I therefore lost my way and became late to experience Nasrid Palaces or Alcazaba and was consequently refused entry to both! It’s a shame as I was really looking forward to this tour, now I find myself very unsatisfied after paying £46.59 to only gain access to see a minimal percentage of what I was looking forward to seeing today.

We never found our guide, we did the tour on our own. The plaza where you meet is very confusing, lots of people and guides but we couldn’t identify who they were with.
We did enjoy the Alhambra. The palace and gardens were breathtaking.

Misrepresentation I purchased a private tour for 189 dollar's and receive an audio tour for 35 dollars the guide did not arrive at agreed location .when I contacted the guide by email. He informed me that it was an audio tour the guide then emailed me the tickets at the location which took several attempts for the tickets alone and required me to add an additional app to down load an audio tour .because we where at the Alhambra the service would not work we ultimately purchase a book at a local store terrible service would not recommend this to anyone

Get your ticket delivered before the event. Mine came too late for me to go on the tour I had paid for. I should have contacted support before I returned to the hotel. While I did eventually receive the ticket, it was too late for me to return to the Alhambra, take the tour, return to the hotel and get ready for the next booked event.
Vaiva_P, Sep 2025
We received our tickets (although they were 1 hour past the time for which we ordered them) and could see Alhambra, however, please know, that Viator is LYING about this activity. You will NOT get an instant confirmation, as it is said in the activity description. After you pay you will be informed, that your tickets will be sent to you 48‐24 hours before the activity. You should know, that this company buys last minute tickets and it may either get them or not. So, you will never know if you get your tickets until the day before the planned visit. If you don't they will just return the money you paid and your whole trip to Granada will be ruined.
Michael_M, Sep 2025
Don't expect to be treated fairly. We were confirmed for 11 AM but when we got our tickets via e-mail they were for 1:30 PM. Our schedule would not allow us to go that late. We were refused a refund.

Absolutely fantastic and would definitely recommend the experience — I think if you put into perspective where you are witnessing this place from and then going into the town to see the direct influence of the culture that you can fully appreciate the whole experience. I recommend that you get there with as much time as possible (minimum 20 minutes of extra time) because you do have to walk quite a bit to any meet up points or entrance points (the palace for example). You may feel disappointed if you are expecting something grand.. I think it’s important to remember that this was the culture of such an old place. Simple. Elegant. There is not much to see here but the architecture of times gone past.

On entry, engaged a tour guide for ourselves. Really knew his stuff. Well worth the visit to the Alhambra.
Lisa_J, Jul 2025
I bought expensive tickets for the full tour of the Alhambra , including an audio guide. Experience date: 06/06/2025
we followed all instructions with using the audio guides, but the audio guide didn't work . we asked at the front desk of the site, and we were told that there are problems with the audio guides, and that the company we bought from should not have sold us a tour with the audio guide.
we ended up touring the Alhambra complex without any guidance, not understanding or getting any information or knowledge of the place. the place itself is a marvel, a true pearl of architecture and culture, and it was very very frustrating to not learn about it.

The Al Hambra is definitely a visit. The fortress and Palaces are amazing. The gardens are beautiful.

I specifically booked this tour because the tickets for the Alhambra, Generalife, and Nasrid Palaces. The Alhambra was already fully booked through the official website months and months before our trip to Granada. The biggest appeal for booking this was the all-included ticket to all major areas of the Alhambra, including the Nasrid Palaces (the most stunning of all). Many other tour companies were not offering tickets with all sights included. We received our tickets mere moments before we were to enter the Alhambra grounds, and when we went to stand in line for the Nasrid Palaces, the docent informed us our tickets did not include the Nasrid Palaces. After messaging the tour company, they informed us that they could not book the Nasrid Palaces. They still charged us as if everything was included, never told us ahead of time that our tickets did not include the Nasrid Palaces, and then it was only when I proactively messaged the tour company that they told us Nasrid Palaces was not included, contrary to their advertising. We basically got scammed. I would have chosen another company for these tickets that could offer the same services with everything included. The only reason I am giving this company two stars is that they refunded our tickets partially after I took the initiative to reach out to them. Personally, this level of enticement deserves a full refund. The best I can do is warn prospective customers this may happen to them.

We bought Alhambra tickets from Viator. They immediately handed it off to a different entity (Andazaritours) who promised we'd get the tickets 24-48 hours before our entry time. This was the first indication of problems to come since that fact should have been disclosed by Viator before we purchased.
Andazaritours then failed to deliver in the promised timeframe and did not communicate with us until we made multiple efforts to them directly and through Viator. They then said we'd get the tickets after midnight, less than 10 hours before our entry. Obviously, they never had the tickets VIATOR sold us and were just hoping to catch them in the day-of release which is something we could have done as well.
Then more than an hour after midnight, past the time we had any chance of finding an alternative, they announced that they failed and we had no tickets. Since the Alhambra tour is a key aspect of visiting Granada our entire time there was ruined.
Andazaritours is obviously an entity noone should do business with, but it is Viator that sold us the tickets and ultimately failed to deliver on their promise. We travel frequently and often see Viator as an option for our activities. We have always doubted Viator as trustworthy and now we have proof that our concerns were more than well founded.

I was offered at guided tour when I booked my experience at the Alhambra, Generalife and Gardens in Granada Spain, but couple of hours before the tour, I received an email with all the information on how to download a FREE audio tour that anyone can get when downloading the App, and when you go to the site, the tickets are being sold for €18 euros, and I paid a total of €48 for the same experience that anyone else can get without a guided tour. So basically I was scammed off €30 euros, please inform yourself and don't fall for these guided tours that offer you something that you won't get, specially when you have older people who are technology challenged and can't deal with last minute App download, and follow all these instructions when you are expecting a totally different experience.
I am not taking off the fact that the Alhambra, Generalife and the gardens are a beauty, but this should not happened when I'm booking through a prestigious site like Viator, or maybe Viator is also being scammed by these local providers who are taking advantage of turist.
Thank you.

Agency was very quick to respond. Tickets arrived several hours before activity. No issues, would use again.

First off. We were stupid and did not have tickets to the Alhambra before we got to Spain and did not try for them until too late so we did last minute effort with Viator. They said we had them so we took off before dawn from Valencia to make sure we were on time for our entry. Unfortunately while we were sleeping they informed us they were not able to procure them. Talk about being bummed. But they graciously offered to refund or try for the next day. So we asked for next day and thought why not. To not see this would have been a major downer. So. What happens is at midnight all left over or not picked up tickets become available so you have to wait till midnight-1 am to know if you get them. Voila. We got them. Entry at 11. Perfect. Just meant our time In Rhonda was going to be cut wayyy short as we needed to be in Sevilla for a night tour at 7 pm. So yes. We got in. Paid more than we would have if some properly and ahead of time but that was on us. Not them. My only problem was getting to the right track in the audio to know where I was and what I was hearing. Since we had to start with the Alhambra first we had to go through a lot of mess to get to the straying point. And to stay on track with it is hard because the rooms in Alhambra are not very well labeled. However if you were on track it was fine. For some reason we missed two rooms they had info on. Not sure how. And we had to cut it short due to our other commitments. However it was not a bad way to go if you have lots of time and can go the route they do. But if you have to change it up it becomes frustrating to fk d the spots. Would be nice to have it where you have a list and you hit from the list. Not sure. But overall it was a good way for us to go last minute and not pay an arm and a leg. Just a little foot. Hahaha you have to have a little humor in life.

I paid €158 for what I believed to be a guided tour. A very kind lady arrived to provide our tickets and then departed. We were instructed to use an app, which unfortunately malfunctioned frequently. The the tour company's cost was only €19 for each ticket. Had I known this was not a guided tour, I would not have paid such a high price. Nevertheless, I did enjoy my visit to the Alhambra.

Drains a lot of data from your mobile so make sure you have plenty, especially if you've used satnav a lot to navigate around city
Umesh_K, Nov 2024
This is a scalper deal, the person bus for $18 and sells for double the price. There is no guide just listen or read on phone, they expect foreigners to have paid international roaming. Book tickets directly with city official guide

Great Arhitecture, verry good audio guide in German. Verry nice flora and parks. Too expensive parking.
Yihsuan_S, Oct 2024

The tour was spectacular.
We were lucky to be able to find tickets through this agency.
However it should be made clear that there is no tour guide and that you have to bring original copies of your ID, passports, drivers licenses, etc. Or you might not be able to enter.
Gesing_H, Sep 2024
Everything worked super ! We had no problems with the check in and even though we were late we still were able to start the visit ♥️
Robert_H, Sep 2024
The Alhambra was terrific, the Viator provider was a rip off - the vendor made it seem that we had to come to their office to pick up tickets/audio equipment the morning of the visit. We showed up at the address provided and... it was a hotel, and they had no idea what we were talking about.
Clearly this was just a front/cover story for tickets bought ahead of time at the regular price and then resold to us at 2.5 times the cover price.
Look, we were happy to get to the Alhambra and see the Nasrid palaces as the normal tickets were sold out but the provider made it seem that they were providing some sort of a premium service.
We really did not appreciate walking 15 minutes to a phantom address that was cited as the meeting spot.
Rosa_K, Jun 2024
The grounds were beautiful and the audio guide was very well done. The history of this place is very astounding!
Johnny_C, May 2024
We were suppose to meet a guide but he never show up. We call the office and they email us the online guide and the tickets. It wasn’t what we expected. It is hard to get a signal so you won’t be able to use their website online. I would look at other company.
David_S, May 2024
got the tickets. no guide showed up and we ended up paying for an official second guide from the site.
