I received a WhatsApp message from the tour operator Viaternum Tours the day before our scheduled tour to tell us that they had had a system error and that our tickets (booked and paid for a month earlier) had been cancelled! They offered to reschedule us in the upcoming weeks which of course made no sense as we’d be back home across the Atlantic by then. We now must wait for our expected refund……bush league!

A truly remarkable area to visit with so much history and so much unique architecture. Our guide Lara made the visit truly incredible with her upbeat personality and extensive knowledge of the entire region, not just the Alhambra. Would definitely recommend this to her to anyone who enjoys history and wants to get 10 times more out of their visit than they would if they just walked around without a guide.

Emilio gave a wonderful tour & he was an interesting, informative & knowledgeable guide. He provided lots of tidbits of information that made the Alhambra come alive. I would highly recommend this tour and Emilio as the tour guide!!

The Alhambra is a wonderful world-historical monumental site, stunning in beauty, of course. Everyone should see it. Our tour with Eva made it even better. She's well informed, bright, and fun to be with.

We had a very good conducted tour (conducted through Viaternum Tours). Emilio explained things very well. The one thing that people booking these tours should be aware of is that the time slot for the Nasrid Palace is known quite late (through Whatsapp) and they need to keep adequate flexibility for the day.

They literally cancelled the tour the day before and gave us a “partial refund” which was still way more expensive than buying tickets to the palace would have been. Avoid this tour at all costs.

Alhambra is a fortress, a series of beautiful palaces and gardens and a summer palace. A guided tour provides the context and the organization to really enjoy the experience!

The format was good for us. We made our own way there. Meeting point was near the Alhambra. Easy to find and quiet location. Eva, our tour guide, was right on time. She was most personable and knowledgeable. Group size (20) was good. We could have spent more time at the Alcazaba and Nasrid Palace but that's the constraint of a three-hour tour, which nears the limits of my attention span, anyway 🤣. The tour ends inside the Alhambra so you can explore on your own but there is no re-entry to the palaces.
The Alhambra is truly a gem. Eva helped us learn about its architecture and history. We fully enjoyed ourselves.

An enjoyable three hour tour of the Alhambra complex. Our tour guide. Marta was very knowledgeable. It is a full on three hour tour, and whilst the highlight the Nasrid Palaces are not to missed, it would have been nice to have had a little more free time in the beautiful General Life Gardens.

The tour of the Alhambra was excellent. Our tour guide Marta, was delightful, spoke good english clearly and offered great information regarding the history of the Alhambra. She timed the tour very well allowing everyone plenty of time to take photos. She was very friendly and accommodating, and kept a head count as we moved from space to space so no one got separated from the tour (there are many tours going on simultaneously.)

We liked our guide; she did a good job. Lost a star was purely due to the fact that it was VERY crowded and kind of boring. The gardens were beautiful. Was there in early October.

From the start, the tour company was very open, information was clear on where to meet and details related to the tour were communicated and aswered promptly. During the tour, our guide Eva was very approachable and knowledgeable, she kept the group in good spirits, tour had a good pace and made our visit to Alhambra a very enjoyable experience. My tour guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The only reason I am giving a 3 star rating is because the tour was bilingual. Commentary was provided in English and Spanish. I did not realize this when I booked the trip. If the tour was only in English, I would give 5 stars.

A very thorough tour of the Alhambra and Nasrid Palace. Emiliano was a great tour guide. He spent lots of time explaining all of the history, pointing out little tidbits and interesting facts, and was more than willing to take pictures for our family. We really enjoyed this experience.

Hands down Emilio is one of the best guides we have had. His knowledge of the Alhambra, and how that knowledge was delivered, made the beautiful city and palaces come to life. The tour included the Nassarid palaces, palace of Charles the V, General Life as well as visiting the Alcazaba on your own if you chose to do so. The tour is about three hours but it did not feel that way at all. Great pacing and delivery of all the info by Emilio, likely sculpted / crafted from prior tours. Lastly, be prepared for some stunning views. We were happy we made it out to the top of the Alcazaba to end such a beautiful day.

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Emilio, our guide was great. He really knew all the history and interesting facts about The Alhambra. Make sure to wear comfy walking shoes and give yourself plenty of time to get there as roads can be congested and busses seem to run on their own schedule.

It is an amazing place, the guide (Eva) fantastic. The only negative experience is the message sent by the organizers at 02 09 in the morning of the scheduled day saying that time of the tour is shifted by 2 and1/2 hours.

Entry time may change based on how busy it is. Our tour was originally scheduled for 2pm but I received an email day before that it was now going to be 3pm. That was a problem for us because we had a train to catch at 6:20. We had to leave the tour early as we could catch any later trains. Our guide Jose was very good and shared great information.
