Gus was an outstanding tour guide for our visit to the Alhambra. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer every question we had along the way. What could have felt like a long trip actually flew by. We were so engaged that we would have gladly stayed even longer. Truly an unforgettable experience, thanks in large part to Gus's warmth and expertise. Highly recommend!

Wear comfortable shoes, bring a full water bottle in summer. Also a good idea to bring sun cover clothing.

A thorough view of the Alhambra with a really excellent and knowledgeable English speaking guide. It’s quite high up so we took a taxi up and walked back down to central Granada. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful tour of Alhambra and Nasrin palaces. Our tour guide (Gustavo) was intelligent, funny, and professional. We had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!!
Our guide was Conchi and her passion for Alhambra and Granada in general brought the various areas on the tour to life. Things we would have walked past took on new meaning with the history and stories we were told. Our tour was during a short heatwave (the car showed 44C on return from the tour). However we spent much of the tour in shade so it did not feel like an ordeal. We had a short break before starting the final hour in the Nasrid palaces and the whole tour took just over 3 hours. We parked in the site car park and that cost just over 12 euros. Conchi offered suggestions of other things we could do after the tour including cost of taxi to the best overview of the Alhambra and best things to see in Granda. Definitely worth the cost of the tour.
Great tour with our guide, Christina Del Arbol! Very informative, at a good pace! 3 hours with a 15 min break in the middle. She knows where all the perfect picture spots are!
The tour was wonderful, the guide very knowledgeable and pleasant. It was a great experience and I will recommend it to all my friends and family.
Seeing the beauty of the royal palace and its gardens was breathtaking. However what really elevated this experience was Ana, she was a splendid guide who brought us through the history and stories of the palace. Would definitely recommend.
Ps. Be prepared to walk and stand for a couple of hours, I would definitely recommend to wear comfortable shoes and clothes

A small group tour with Ana was perfect for me.
Christina was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and her English near perfect. Unfortunately there was a series of tremors when we visited which closed all the buildings. We were unable to see the Nasrid palaces. What can you do? Can't control seismic activity ...but Viator promptly refunded a portion of our tickets, which I appreciated.
We missed our guide and had to purchase another guided tour on site. It was extremely frustrating to watch the group we were supposed to be with leave and not be allowed to join them.
The advertised tour time is also misleading. If guests are required to arrive a certain amount of time before departure, this should be clearly reflected in the stated meeting time.

The one-star rating is not real. We arrived at Alhambra only to find that it was closed today. There was heavy rain, strong winds, and a level 5 earthquake in Granada early this morning. We are disappointed, but appreciate the communication from the tour company and the offer to refund our tour costs.

As you rightly mentioned, the closure of the Alhambra was due to exceptional circumstances beyond our control, with the severe weather conditions and earthquake in Granada leading to the temporary closure of the site. We completely understand how disappointing this must have been, particularly after travelling for the visit.
We were pleased that the Alhambra reopened later that day and, once we were informed that access was possible again, we offered you the opportunity to visit independently in the afternoon using the tickets provided.
We always do our best to communicate promptly when circumstances outside of our control affect an excursion, and we appreciate your understanding in this unusual situation. Great personal tour guide. Lots of history. Fun humor. Beautiful sights and context for everything that you are seeing and experiencing.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR WITH CITY WONDERS/VIATOR.
Once they have your money they refuse to help, only throwing legal jargon in your face when they could easily have assisted us without impinging on any of the other tour guests experience.
We arrived at 10.10 for a 10.30 tour, the google maps link in their wattsapp group did not work so we were at the wrong entrance. Apologies for that, but I don’t speak or read Spanish and taxi was asked to deliver us to Alhambra, so how could I know this? We realised this at about 10.20 and made our way to the main entrance but this took a while so we were late and could not find the group anywhere. Finally found our Nasrid palace tickets at the cafeteria and took off on our own. Contacted City Wonders/Viator several times during this fiasco asking which route the group took so we could catch up or the guide’s direct number so we could arrange to meet up. They refused to give us any further information, only reminded us that if we were late then basically it was too bad and we forfeited our right to partake in this tour at all. They could easily have told us approximately what time the group would be entering the next part of Alhambra and we could have met there. We were not expecting the group to wait anywhere for us to catch up, their tour should proceed as usual and would not have needed to be disrupted at all. Also the guide could have messaged us with this information at any time, as City Wonders/Viator has both my phone number and email, and plainly they knew we were there. So, extremely disappointed in this tour (or lack of) but the follow up and customer service absolutely appalling.
I compare this to the four free tours we’ve taken in other cities where the guide sets up a Wattsapp group for the tour so there is free and open communication between the guide and all tour members, people can notify if they are late and the guide helps facilitate a great experience for all. They are even happy for you to contact them after the tour for more information or travel advice or general questions! Such a contrast.
So, do yourself a favour and please take a tour with a different agency.
I would give zero stars for this experience if it were possible.
Although perhaps they deserve one star for their mercenary attitude. After all they were excellent at taking our money weeks before the tour and perfectly happy to not even attempt to help us, even though it would been so easy and would have garnered them an excellent review.
Be very ashamed tour providers.

Outstanding tour of all three areas of the Alhambra; our tour guide spoke English very well, she shared many historical insights and also recommended other sites to see through Spain.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, carry a fan, an umbrella and a wet cooling towel if you have one. A great cultural experience especially if you have a great guide like Christina!
If the weather is hot, take water with you
You need also good shoes. There is goite lot of walking.

Wonderful visit of l’Alhambra and Generalife. Javier was a superbe guide, full of fascinating stories about the history of the palaces, the gardens, and Grenada in general. Javier, thank you for the recommendation for the flamenco show (it was awesome!) and bars.
Excellent guide with a lot of knowledge and shortcut all queues..completely worth the money even if you are not interested in the history of Alhambra..just for the sake of not waiting in queues for hours on end..
This is absolutely worth the price, the guide was amazing and the group was small. Highly recommended.
