The Alhambra is beautiful and massive, and having a private guide was the best way to see and learn about the history, and made it more enjoyable for the teenagers. Our guide, Jesus, was outstanding, very knowledgeable and fun! Highly recommend!

Great private tour with lots of historical insight. Arrived 15 minutes early to get ticket and were promptly guided in skipping the line. Would say it was worth the extra $$ for the detailed explanations, allowed us to really appreciate it much more!

Ours was a private tour, just two of us plus the guide, we were more or less the last entries of the day, and that was probably key to the fantastic journey through the Alhambra.
Now, there are guides, fantastic guides and then... there's Hector. He is a local himself and has studied extensively both the monument itself and the local history. He is such a charming and engaging guide, who involves you throughout the experience.
I have a collection of images from this trip with just us, no one else in shot, this is because Hector knows all the routes and rooms and timed our visits to perfection.
It was one of the most immersive tours we have ever been on (and we have been fortunate over the years to have had many)

Beware - it is very doubtful that this company has tickets for Nasrid Palaces in hand if the official website is sold out for your time slot. I had seen some positive and some negative reviews, so I figured they might buy a block of tickets or have some source, so I booked it on good faith (but with some doubts), but was notified the morning of the tour (when it was too late to cancel without penalty) that they did not have tickets for Nasrid at my scheduled time. Instead of offering a full refund, my only options were to take a Nasrid tour later in the day (which are easier tickets to get), or to take a tour without the Nasrid at my scheduled time for a 30 percent refund. Considering the much lower price of the tickets had we just bought them on our own, this was a rip off. Since we were only in the area for a short time on a cruise, the later tour was not an option. So if you want to see the Nasrid Palaces, and the official website site is sold out - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If they don’t have the tickets in hand, they should offer you a full refund, not hold your money hostage.
Now, that said, our guide Christina was fantastic. Was she worth paying 10x the price of the tickets - no, but she is a great guide.

It was very engaging, educational and easy. Easy strolling and not so many people. They moved our tine from 4pm to 1pm and constantly were in contact with me and tried to make sure thar I have enoug time to get there from Motril cruise port. Christian as a guide was great and very accomadating.

They cancelled on us at 10:30pm the night before our 8:30am tour. We tried to reschedule with ANY other operator or get tickets on our own but of course it was way too late so we toured the outside and never got to see it. Extremely disappointed. We did get a refund and Viator attempted to make up for it by offering 10% off a future booking - not nearly enough compensation for the cancellation.

Very bad. They canceled the tour at 8:30 AM the same morning of the tour after verification everyday to the last evening
Very poor service, no regard to the customer
We flew from Atlanta , USA for this and verified this multiple times before be bought a non refundable bus ride of $400-$500 to Alhambra from Seville Geraldine and the Crown tour team were just awful . They should be reported to the Granada tourism board or to the government of Spain
So you refund my money of $350 after we have spent $15000 for our vacation? Very bad

Visiting the Alhambra was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The intricate Islamic architecture—especially the detailed stucco work, geometric patterns, and serene courtyards—beautifully reflects the sophistication and artistic brilliance of Al-Andalus. Walking through the Nasrid Palaces and Generalife gardens felt like stepping into a living piece of history.
What made the experience truly exceptional was our guide, Sara. She brought the history of the Alhambra to life, explaining not just the rise of Islamic rule in Spain, but also how Andalusia became a center of coexistence where Muslims, Christians, and Jews contributed to a rich, shared culture. Her insights into how Islamic influence introduced new foods, advanced architecture, and drove prosperity added depth and context that we would have otherwise missed.
She also thoughtfully explained how the Reconquista led to much of this rich history being suppressed or nearly erased over time, and how later preservation efforts helped recover and protect what remains today. That perspective added an important layer of understanding to the visit.
Sara’s knowledge, passion, and storytelling made a huge difference. She even shared a hidden viewpoint overlooking Granada—an unforgettable moment that gave us a whole new appreciation of the city.

The tour company (crown tours) canceled my trip on the day of the scheduled tour despite but the tickets a month in advance. The company lied to me calling that cancellation is due to new regulations by Alhambra. I contacted the official in Alhambra and they said there were no new regulations. Not only being unreliable but also deceiving tourists. I traveled thousands of miles from US only to see Alhambra with my kids and they ruined my plans.

We had trouble as out 1.30 tour was cancelled as we were on the bus from Seville. Given a later time which did not suit as we had to travel back 3 hrs by bus. We did not get to see the palace. We got a small refund. Christian who cane to give us our your at 1.30 was excellent. Such a lovely young man. A wealth of knowledge , kind , considerate and so enthusiastic about his job.

I don't know how to rate Crown tours because my tour of Alhambra at 9:00 was canceled and rescheduled the night before to 1:30, and then rescheduled again same day. I did eventually get a ticket and an apology from Elsa and so was able to see the Alhambra and the Palace but that was after a lot of effort on my part, and anxiety. My tour was also without a guide and I'm awaiting a refund.

We arrived early for our tour as did our guide and as there was only 2 of us we started there and then. Our guide was very informative but I’m sorry to say I have forgotten his name. He was very personable and answered all our questions and he was very knowledgeable on everything to do with the Alhambra. I definitely would recommend this tour and tour guide.

The company sent me a confirmation email a day before the trip, i headed from Seville to Granada to join the tour and also booked a hotel there, on my way they sent me that the tour was cancelled for logistical issues! I planned all my trip (No of days, hotel bookings and dates) based on this and they simply canceled causing me many unnecessary losses.. they did not cancel the trip on Viator and the amount was not refunded
