Gino met us right in front of our Airbnb a few minutes before the appointed time. Very kind and professional, and engaged us in lively and informative conversation throughout the drive. He let us guide the conversation, not speaking constantly, but allowing us to enjoy the view and chiming in with interesting facts and answering any questions we had. This is truly a customizable tour; he drove us right up to the piazza where the leaning tower is and we told him how long we wanted to spend there before returning to the car (a very comfortable, A/C'd Mercedes SUV. We then continued on to the lovely little city of Lucca, where he gave us suggestions of good restaurants for lunch, and other sights we may want to see, even texted (WhatsApp) directions to the recommended restaurant locations. We had a nice meal, then walked around the city, and we highly recommend walking the lovely path atop the city's wall (about 2 miles, but you can stop and turn around wherever you wish). Gorgeous trees and view on the paved path, where people both walk and ride bicycles, and sit on benches off to the side and peoplewatch. Reminded me a bit of Central Park in the spring, and the weather was beautifully sunny, breezy, and it was so relaxing. We then walked back to a main piazza and enjoyed a sit-down gelato and an espresso, and returned to meet our driver Gino at the appointed time (we spent about 2.5 hours there, as our departure time was finite to end the tour on time back in Florence). The drive back was just a scenic and enjoyable, and we would ride again with Gino anytime. We understand there are other driving tours to Sienna and San Gimignano - perhaps next time! Thank you for the perfect experience!!

Luigi was a wonderful host. He adapted the day to exactly what we wanted. He recommended a great winery for lunch and made our reservation! He was very informative about the area and showed a video on the way.

Francesco was a great guide. He helped us get from our hotel in Florence to Lucca for a few hours of shopping, sightseeing and even arranged a nice late lunch in a countryside trattoria. We took a brief visit to Pisa so we could take “the picture” at the leaning tower which was all we wanted to do that day. Nice Mercedes van to travel in as well.
