Operating Schedule: Explore the sights of Dublin on our Red Route Bus Tour. You can hop on and hop off the bus at up to 25 different stops. Stay on board to relax and see it all with entertaining digital commentary, or hop off to explore the landmarks and attractions that interest you most. Buses depart every 20 - 30 minutes. The first bus departs from Stop 1: 13 Upper O'Connell Street at 09:00 and the last bus departs at 17:30. - If you’ve purchased a 48-hr or 72-hr ticket, you can enjoy a 1-hr live-guided panoramic Night Tour, departing daily at 7:00pm from Stop 1 (13 Upper O’Connell Street), with a 2nd departure at 8:30pm between late March and early October. Please arrive early to ensure you secure a seat. Your ticket also includes a Yellow Umbrella Walking Tour, departing daily at 11:00 am from the SPIRE on O’Connell Street, lasting approx. 2hrs.
- The Wicklow Mountains & Dublin Highlights tour (included in the 72-hr ticket) departs from Big Bus Stop 1 (13 Upper O'Connell Street) at 9:45 am. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure and present your ticket to a Big Bus team member.
- Download the Big Bus Tours app to access and activate your ticket, track buses in real time, and board easily using your mobile ticket.

I specifically booked the tour with a live guide and paid more for it but couldn’t understand the guides very well. The microphones weren’t great and the guides’ accents made them hard to decipher. It was also a rainy day, so the bus was very full. Twice we tried to get on a bus but were told it was full and we’d need to wait on the next bus. All in all, I’d say it wasn’t the best value for our money.

Do the full circle first early. Choose Hop Off locations beginning at the last stop. Keep in mind that your ticket expires the next day at the time that you begin on day 1.

This was a very informative tour and included many of the things we wanted to be sure and see. The bus was great - we got to sit on the top of the double-decker and the view was better from there. We didn't need the headphones, which I liked too. I highly recommend.

I traveled to Dublin alone and decided to do the Big Bus Tour, and I’m so glad I did! It was a great way to get a quick overview of the city and see so many of the sights without having to walk everywhere. As a solo traveler with limited time, it made it easy to get a feel for Dublin and decide which places I wanted to explore more.
And honestly, the buses were an added bonus when the Irish rain decided to show up! It was a warm, comfortable refuge while still allowing me to see the city.
I would definitely recommend Big Bus Tours, especially if you’re traveling solo, short on time, or simply want an easy and convenient way to see Dublin. Great experience! 🇮🇪💚

There are not enough busses. We waited 50 minutes for a bus. Meanwhile the GoDublin bus had 4 busses that came by. DO NOT USE THIS BUS SERVICE

Very good bus tour with on time schedules. Enjoyed the free Guinness at Nancy Hands bar and loved the commentary by driver. Price was excellent to see nearly all of Dublin. Would love to hear more about Vikings in the History.

It was a nice trip! Good guide, sang very nicely, easy to understand. Nice stops but should advertise as 24 hours as it only goes from 8am to 6 pm.

Very easy to book, meet the driver and fantastic price. An easy way to see all the sights and enjoy at your own pace. Go early to avoid traffic. Lovely view of Dublin. I'm a big fan of Hop On/Off type buses because you have the freedom to explore at your own pace.

Make sure to activate your ticket on the day your is for. The driver was great though and gave us a paper ticket. The driver was knowledgeable and funny. Great tour.

I bought a 72 hour pass which included an evening tour and a day tour to Glendalough in the Wicklow mountains. Excellent drivers and the tour guide Glendalough, Mike, was just fantastic! I highly recommend for solo travelers.

This was a great way to see the city for our short stay in Dublin. It stops directly at many of the city’s highlights and includes a live guide, no recording to listen to. Your ticket includes a free pint of Guinness from Nancy Hands. Entire loop takes around 1.5 hours or less and stops are quick. Would recommend!

One stop at the park was over 15 minutes and no announcement so we ended up getting off and walking back to hotel.

Rather mediocre. Misses major places like the Writers and Yeats Museums and provides little information on the sights passing by. Very hard to understand the driver. Great if your goal was Guinness!

It all seemed good at the outset although first morning bus at stop 7 was 15 minutes late but we enjoyed the park and ducks for a bit.
Trying to ‘hop’ back on at 3:30 pm was a disaster. We waited at stop 14 for an hour and a half. We realized that it was end of the day and walked back to hotel 1.6 Km

Take the trip all the way around the first time, then go again and decide on your favorite hop offs. Worked great for us! Owen was a most engaging tour guide/driver!! Loved his funnies with the narration and we could understand him!

Easy hop on and off. The app gave up to the minute bus location and arrival. Great taped and live guide naration. Wonderful history and tidbit information for different parts of Dublin. A must do activity if you plan to visit Dublin!
