Tour guide Alex was extraordinary in every respect. He was extremely good at communicating many, many aspects of local history, architecture, language, society, etc. He also speaks at a perfect pace and has been successful in mitigating his Irish accent in order to make it easier for an American like me to understand him. He even stayed beyond the end time of the tour to provide more insights. He is the best such guide I've experienced in my travels to many, many countries. Thanks, Alex! You are the best.
Great way to understand more how Dublin developed and grew. Went to interesting places. Guide catered to our small group.
Our Finn McCools Tour Guide (Alex) for our "Walking Tour of Dublin" was very personable, knowledgeable, focused on our interests, and was very responsive to our questions. He also took the extra time to show us sites of local and national significance which we did not have time to cover in the allotted tour time. Would highly recommend him.
Lots of walking! Great guide that shared lots of history about Dublin. We had visited before but didn’t know much of the history.
I travel quite often and always go on a walking tour. Having Alex as a tour guide was in the bottom 5 I’ve ever been on. There were only two couples. For some reason he spent 90% of the tour talking to the other two people as if we weren’t there. I have no idea why. It was hard to hear him because he was mostly facing the other two people. I even took a picture to show my view of most of the tour.
Small group tour, it was just us and two other couples. The guide was knowledgeable and made the tour fun and informative.
Really enjoyed this tour! 90 minutes was just right – long enough to see and learn a lot, but not exhausting. Lots of interesting stories, history and facts, mixed with plenty of jokes. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, and the group size was perfect. A great way to discover Dublin and definitely recommend it!

This was a great tour with Alex. We got to see a lot and he gave a lot of great and interesting tidbits about the city.
Focused on historical buildings what they were used before and what were they now. Very litter history that I expected from the tour. That’s why I felt boring. The guide was passionate.

Our guide Alex was fun and informative. We went into Temple Bar and saw the Dublin castle. We didn’t get to see Trinity College, and I feel like we didn’t get to all of the itinerary. Overall it was a great experience. Definitely want to come back.

We’ve done many guided tours in many European cities and Alex was the best guide we’ve ever had. Informative with very good story telling and open to questions. It was like walking with a very educated friend.
Alex was a kind and informative guide who made a point of catering our tour to our needs. We did this a few hours after getting off the plane and it was a nice introduction to Dublin. Alex obviously loves his city and its history. We appreciated his insights into the beautiful places throughout Dublin and the recommendations he gave us for our next few days.

A good deal of walking, to be expected. Do not assume the guide will follow the published itinerary. Our guide “did his own thing”. This was somewhat disappointing as I wanted to know more about O’Connell St and its part in history, the Post Office, Trinity College and Christ Church Cathedral. Instead the guide spent a lot time talking about the various pubs and eating spots. If I wanted this, I’d book a pub crawl.
Our walking tour was an introduction to the history of Dublin and highlights of the town and its development and layout. Alex is an excellent storyteller and a font of knowledge and guide.. A great way to start my visit to Dublin.
