I absolutely loved this hike, it was definitely a little challenging at times but my family loved it especially since they have never been on a hike!! Shout out to Randolph he was such an amazing and awesome tour guide !!

It was a full day adventure. the drive there was a bit long due to road construction but worth it. The scenery was amazing and even though I had never rappelled, Dely was very patient and guided us through

Great experience. Drive there is quite long and bumpy but worth it. Small minivans to minimize pickups and only 2 vans so only 14 total. Guide was fantastic and helpful for the more cautiousof the group. Lunch was delicious. Bring water.

We had an amazing time on our tour to El Tabernáculo out of Santo Domingo. The experience was incredibly fun and well organized from start to finish. Our guide, Ronnie, was absolutely fantastic—helpful, funny, and really informative without ever making it feel like a lecture. He made everyone feel comfortable and kept the energy up the whole time. My wife and I both had a great time and would highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Ronnie as your guide!

Me and my buddies have been traveling for a couple days now and have done several activities through Viator. This was by far our best experience to date. The hike was absolutely beautiful and getting to swim and experience the waterfall was beyond words I can express. Our tour guide Randolph was the best tour guide we have had and made the experience unforgettable. When I come back I’ll definitely be requesting him as a tour guide.

e tour of the Tabernacle Waterfalls was absolutely electrifying! It perfectly blends heart-pounding adventure with moments of pure relaxation. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience where you’ll witness breathtaking sights you simply can’t see anywhere else. Our guide, Randell, was phenomenal—his intimate knowledge of the area was mind-blowing! He pointed out every rock in the river, letting us know which ones were safe and which were slippery, and each stop came with a fascinating story. The authentic Dominican cuisine was a surprising highlight too—I tried fresh star fruit for the very first time and instantly fell in love. Honestly, this tour is worth every penny and then some!

This hike is amazing. It can be difficult depending on when you go but the tour guide Ronnie was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable and safe. The views in this waterfall are breathtaking and they get more impressive as you go. I highly recommend this tour. I myself will definitely be going again in the near future and I will be requesting Ronnie as my guide. Thanks for the great experience.

I did the Tabernaculo hike with Ronnie. We were a small group of 4 people including him. He was an incredibly experienced and reassuring guide and we all felt very safe. He shared lots of interesting information with us throughout the whole trip and went out of his way to accommodate us. The pickup was punctual and the car was spacious and clean. The hike was super fun and we got to go on a natural waterslide - definitely a highlight. I am not an experienced hiker but the hike was absolutely doable and not at all too long. Ronnie made sure everyone was doing okay the whole time and we got to decide where we wanted to stay for how long. After the hike we were served an authentic and delicious Dominican meal which we absolutely enjoyed. 100% recommend!

If you want to see some of the beauty of the Highlands in the DR and pretend you're a kid again climbing over rocks and up/down waterfalls, I highly recommend this tour. It's a long windy road to get there (take your motion sickness tablets!) But it's well worth it. The ravine we walked through is beautiful. Ronnie is an excellent guide and ensured even those a little less sure about swimming through the plunge pools were able to do it. We were also given a very large, traditional lunch (around 3pm) which was excellent too!

We had a great experience. despite the tense moment with a tourist refusing to wear a life vest. Fredny, our tour guide, was able to handle the situation calmly and effectively, ensuring everyone's safety. His accommodating nature and dedication to the group clearly made a positive impact on our experience. We definitely had a memorable adventure and people who made it special! The scenery is breath taking!

Absolutely zero complaints. Fredny Abreu guided us and really made sure it was an EXPERIENCE. We climbed, we jumped, we slid, and he got us out there nice and early so that our group was out there alone and really communing with nature.
I also proposed at the top of the cascades with the help and coordination of the team. Truly made for an unforgettable moment.
A must for the outdoor lover.

Great experience. Victor was a great guide, so much fun. Once he picked us up we asked if we could do waterfall rappelling (extreme hike) and he was able to change our trip for us. The hike was tough but really fun. Rappelling was also hard but a great experience. Would highly recommend if you are in shape and have both upper body and lower body strength to do the extreme hike. The water was very strong in the waterfall so be prepared. It also gets very cold in the water. They give you a life vest which makes it easier to swim through the creek.

We all loved this excursion!! So much fun climbing up waterfalls, jumping into the river, going down water slides, swimming out to the big falls, and just hiking out there in general. A beautiful place and a great adventure! Plus our guide Fredny was the best!! 10/10 recommend :)

We had a great time. Our guide held our phones to take pictures, and walked us to the waterfall. Your hiking shoes will get wet when swimming through the water, I recommend being prepared for that. We enjoyed the real homemade DR cuisine as well. Overall 10/10 experience.

I had such an exhilarating hike to the Tabernacle Thundering Waterfall in Los Cacaos, Dominican Republic! This hike was probably the most fun and challenging hike I have ever completed. I climbed, swam, jumped off cliffs into the water, and went sliding down waterfalls. The views were extremely spectacular and I would absolutely do this hike again! If you enjoy hiking in general then you will absolutely love this one! I enjoyed every single waterfall on this hike but I especially loved the majestic Tabernacle Thundering Waterfall at the end. It was very beautiful to see up close! Also, I really liked our outstanding guide, Ronnie. He was extremely fun, knowledgeable, encouraging, and he made us all feel very safe throughout the entire duration of this stunning hike!

This tour was amazing! Víctor, our guide for the day was very knowledgeable of the area, very personable and spoke great English. Traditional Dominican breakfast and lunch were included in the tour and was delicious. The hike to the waterfall is moderate in difficulty so wear good shoes and be prepared to climb and swim. Overall, this tour was 10/10 and we had a great time!

This tour exceeded all of my expectations. I have been on waterfall hikes all over the world (S.Africa, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico) and while I thoroughly enjoyed them, they have never been as fun and exciting as this tour with Fredny. The authentic Dominican meals we had were delicious and freshly made. Fredny was very accommodating and adjusted the tour based on our abilities throughout the hike. We had a great time and I will forever remember this trip as one of the best excursions I’ve taken. Definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants to be wowed!

We had a wonderful time on this adventure! a few days before the trip started, Ronnie messaged our group in WhatsApp to explain the logistics of pick up, etc. our tour guide, Victor, was on time (picked us up at 6am on the dot) and explained everything to us during the 2 hour ride there. The breakfast before and lunch after was very authentic with a beautiful mountain view. Victor was a great tour guide!
You will be in and out of the water - so definitely wear some light hiking shoes with good grip because you will be hiking through rocks & it will be somewhat slippery. We went in March and the water was cold (15C) but definitely bearable! We brought a waterproof backpack & kept our phones and water bottle in it. Victor also brings one & can hold your phone in his bag. It was a very fun experience and we would definitely do it again. I wouldn’t recommend this if you are brand new to hiking and/or can’t hike through rocks or don’t like swimming!

This trip was a great adventure. One of the best day tours I have taken. Be prepared for very cold water, and insist that the tour also includes Tiana falls nearby.
