This tour was fantastic. Takes a long ride with a bunch of pick ups to make your way from the Punta Cana area to La Romana but it is so worth it. The staff was funny and personable, and very organized in picking up all participants and loading up the bus as quickly as possible. They also speak both English and Spanish very well. The bus ride in the morning was over an hour. You get to the ship port and take about a 25 minute ride to The Wall off the coast of Catalina Island which is the snorkel / scuba diving location. Snorkelers jump off the boat after the scuba divers and have a chance to swim around the boat for about 45 minutes to see some great fish and coral best I saw in my time at the DR. After, the boat travels another 20 minutes to the Catalina Private beach. One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The water looks fake its so blue and very calm water to just relax and take a dip in. There is also an area along a cliff to snorkel. The reef here is mostly dead but still fun to do quickly if you are a snorkel fan like I am. They serve a buffet lunch on the beach which was really good. A great spread of meat, veggies, rice, and fruit and certain drinks included. You get beach chairs while you are there as well. The only bad part about this excursion was that I never wanted to leave Catalina Island! I wanted to spend more time and relax at this picture-perfect beach. If I ever come back I will book an excursion again to have more time at this beach because it was just that amazing. The commute back boat and shuttle is long but I think it was totally worth it. Recommend this excursion to anyone looking for some fun adventure and a chance to see an absolutely beautiful beach. Thank you to our staff for a great time!

Any other catermeran trip we went on they offered drinks (other than water). Also the food was horrible and there was not enough for everyone. There was another group there from the same company that was hollering and being totally obnoxious and no one said a word to them. It really ruined our trip.

this was such a nice tour. It's a family business and they're amazing and friendly. I would do it again when i go back to Punta Cana

We made snuba diving. And that was really nice trip. It was the best day on island, morning started with on time pickup at our hotel. Nice air conditioned bus toke us to La Romana port. After short briefing we headed to fully equipped speedboat.
The place where we explored underwater world was gorgeous.
I would highly recommend Snuba for those who would like to get acquainted with diving. Catalina Island was absolutely gorgeous!

Very nice tour. Everything as promised. The snorkelling was beautiful and the island also. Good lunch and nice people operating the tour. Happy we took part in it.

This snorkel tour consisted of about 30 people--a mix of scuba divers and snorkelers--on a large double decker boat. The divers had a dive master. Our tour guide for snorkeling pointed from the boat where we should not go due to boat traffic and that was the extent of the guide. Never got in the water. We then went to Catalina Island and again our guide pointed where the snorkeling should take place if we cared to snorkel in the area. We really didn't see the guide much at the Island and that may have been because he had taken his child along on the tour. On the Island we were instructed about lunch time and were told basically be there or don't eat. I'm glad we were there because the food was good. Snorkeling was OK. We did see lots of colorful fish. Basically what we paid for was the ride out to the island and lunch. A bit expensive for what we got.

We had a great adventure going snorkeling. We actually went to Saona Island instead of Catalina, it was gorgeous. I would liked to have seen the reefs that were mentioned in the excursion description but other than that it was a great trip. We had a guy along to take pics for the whole experience which we purchased for a very reasonable rate at the end of the trip. I would def recommend taking your own snorkel!

This excursion was targeted at scuba divers we were snorkelers. That said- despite the poor visibility and higher seas- it was an enjoyable experience. I would call to confirm 24 hours in advance to ensure pick up at your hotel call the local number. Bring towels.

Had an awesome time!! Would love to do this again. Saw and experience Punta Cuna's cystal clear water and island up close. The tour guides were very tentative to to make sure we had a great time!!
tracy_k, Oct 2016
the tour was ok but there were not many drinks offered on the boat. the tour was mixed with people going out to go scuba diving so it was quite a packed boat and not overly comfortable. The food on the island was great and the beach was beautiful. I would not recommend if travelling with children as the boat was over crowned and not enough seats for everyone.
Arnaldo T, Aug 2016
We purchase this trip believing that we would be on a Catamaran, not so! They sent us on a boat for deep sea divers. The few snorkelers were an after thought. Be sure that the company that picks you up knows that you want a Catamaran.

Snorkelling on the beach was much more interesting than the one from boat
Jennifer R, Jun 2016
The tour was a lot of fun, and the snorkeling was great. We had a nice lunch and then hung out at a pretty beach which had amazing snorkeling as well! I would suggest taking your own snorkel, which we did, because those on the boat are not very good. Our family had a wonderful time.

My husband and I didn't have the best time here. They pack you like sardines on the boat and the island. It wasn't as peaceful and fun than we expected. Too chaotic. Be careful of people trying to hover over you to sell you stuff.
Shauna_O, Apr 2016
This tour was amazing! We got picked up at our hotel first thing in the morning and then all put onto a larger bus off to La Romana which was 1.5 hours w a little history on the way so it really flew by! We stopped at a little tourist shop to purchase gifts etc on our way. Proceeds of your purchase go to education so try to find something if you can! Gabriel was our photographer for the day and he was so much fun! We had an amazing time snorkeling and you get to snorkel at The Wall for about an hour, then once you get to the beach depending on the day there is maybe 30 or 40 people on the entire beach. The water is so clear and beautiful and there's even more snorkeling to be had once you're at the beach. There was a gentleman selling lobster to eat to go with the buffet lunch if you wanted. I would recommend this to everyone!
Only tip I have is the pictures are a bit pricey but well worth the money and the shops they have on the island are nice so bring some money for the lobster, the pictures and some nice casual shopping if you can!

This was an overall nice tour. The snorkeling was great and so were the people. My only issue was the food that was offered. The chicken was raw or severely undercooked. But the scenery made up for whatever else was lacking.
Robert W, Mar 2016
Great trip overall, highly recommended. Be prepared for the 1.25 hour bus ride. The beach on Catalina was well worth the trip.
Glenn P, Mar 2016
It was a longer bus ride than we expected, however the tour and the people were fantastic. It was an experience we enjoyed and would definitely do again.
CINDY N, Feb 2016
Staff was great, the island and food was wonderful. Trip was more geared towards the divers onboard. Did better snorkeling offshore in Punta Cana.
James C, Feb 2016
This was a great tour, there is no doubt about it. The two snorkeling spots are incredible with a vast array of fish to observe. The smooth trunkfish was a particular favourite. You are given a good amount of time to snorkel at each location. The second destination is great but I would advise wearing rock shoes or surf shoes or some sort as the coral is shallow and the experience will be better if you are able to stand. Great times and good hosts

Run by Seapro. Great experience. Loved the catamaran crew, had lots of energy and we enjoyed dancing and watching the fun. Snorkeling was great at first stop. Can Snorkel more in Catalina! DR workers should focus on minimizing environmental impact with garbage and touching coral in a protected reef!

What a great deal this excursion was. We were picked up on time and taken to our boat. When we boarded the boat the drinks were flowing and everyone was very nice. The snorkeling was great and Catalina Island was beautiful. One of the nicest beaches I've ever seen! Highly recommend!
Ivy N, Dec 2015
The reefs seemed like they were dying. No color at all. The equipment was all in poor condition. The masks leaked and I got fins that were broken. Too mucn time was spent on the beach as well. I feel that all the resorts have beaches, no need to stay on the private beach so long.
Zdenka C, Nov 2015
We had a great time on the boat, snorkeling and on the island beach. The company provided great service. Lunch was good and drinks even better. I regret I am not scuba certified. I could see much more under water. I did not like that the beach was crowded by tourists coming on different boats. also the music on the beach was very loud.
Heidi B, Nov 2015
This was a great trip - snorkeling was great, the island was beautiful and the food was great. The staff - from the pick-up, Sea Pro Divers were always very friendly and helpful! Then the crew of boat, ParadisePassion/PassionParadise were also very friendly, entertaining and helpful. They made the boat ride a great adventure and the drinks were always flowing. But I can't say enough about their helpfulness and sincerity when I lost my phone - they went above and beyond trying to help me find and recover it. All of the staff we dealt with were truly amazing and kind!!! I would definitely recommend them!!!
Blake J, Oct 2015
The snorkeling was amazing and so was the island and the beach. What I have to complain about was the description of the excursion doesn't say that the transportation time was over 2hrs and that beer and rum were extra, they even had that audacity to charge 5 dollars a beer. We didn't bring enough money to enjoy the trip to the fullest.
Steven N, Aug 2015
Staff was unbelievable! Snorkeling was great! Loved the BBQ lunch in the beach.
Nneka G, Aug 2015
People was nice, food was decent and the beach was heavenly.
CpGeo, Jul 2015
They forgot our meeting and we took a taxi in order to transfer us to the port. That has as result that they are not get prepared with the appropriate equipment.
