One of our best snorkeling adventures. We went to 3 different spots and saw varieties of fish, urchins, sponge, eel. Adriana was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable when asked about marine life. She and Kostas, the boat captain were very supportive for non-swimmer like me and made sure I was all right and comfortable in the water.

We were unable to go due to the poor weather, asked if we could make a larger boat and if we could make our own way there to the boat although pick ups were included in our tour? We weren’t going to be able to make the boat as is was notified to us too late in the morning The excursion was cancelled regrettably. Had to call Viator myself to get a refund which I am waiting to land

We appreciate that you still chose to book with us. Our team was in constant communication, updating you both the evening before and the morning of the trip. As soon as the port authority gave us the official clearance, we immediately contacted all guests. We sincerely apologize that this timing did not work for you and for any subsequent confusion with the refund process. Was a really nice snorkeling adventure. It was a really beautiful location and the staff was so nice. I wasn't expecting to get a snack because I only book a 3 hour adventure but it was a nice surprise. There wasn't a lot of the day I went out but I understand it's hit or miss with that kind of thing. My husband and I had a wonderful time and beautiful pictures from that day.

I felt duped on this experience. The boat featured in the listing is absolutely nothing like the actual vessel. I assumed it would just be our group of 7 - maybe a couple others but, instead, what we got was an old boat with 25-30 passengers seated in row seating. There were only 2 paddle boards for the entire group and there was nothing special about the snokle locations. One of the staff asked for our email addresses to share photos - I never saw anyone taking photos nor did I receive anything. Not worth the cost. I definitely wouldn't do this excursion again.

Despite multiple changes to your group size, we ensured the bigger vessel was secured to accommodate everyone comfortably. All guests on board were from the same cruise ship, and based on the feedback we received, the majority enjoyed their time with us. Regarding the snorkeling locations, we selected one of the most beautiful spots in Souda Bay, as promoted in our program. While the Mediterranean doesn’t have coral reefs like tropical destinations, we strive to showcase its unique underwater beauty. We also provided paddleboards for shared use, though we understand availability may have been limited during peak times. As for the photos, our team did take pictures during the excursion, and we sent them to all email addresses provided. If you didn’t receive them, please kindly message us directly with your correct email so we can resend your complimentary photos. We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve. Horrible and insulting customer service- not accommodating or polite

I have encountered several issues with this tour operator that were rude and unacceptable. First, the tour does not depart out of Chanai- they make you ride 40 minutes outside of the city and 40 back. Second- I booked a tour for 9 and the tour operator informed me they would leave not at 9 but 11. Third- I booked one day prior to the event and when I had questions regarding my concern about the timing and driving outside the city timing cons that I had the tour operator was not accommodating and was argumentative. They refused to let me cancel and were unprofessional, condescending and told me they would not cancel or return my money. They insulted me stating I should have understood their policies- of leaving outside the advertised city and departure time of two hours past the schedule time- that were not listed. When I say that I wanted to cancel again and that I did not appreciate the interaction. They referred me to talk to Viator knowing that they would not help me cancel this request. The group is not to be trusted and is very unprofessional. Do not book with them.

We also offer transportation upon request—had we known your preference earlier, we would have gladly arranged it for you. Your booking confirmation specified the correct meeting time, and we held your spot accordingly. If there was any miscommunication, we apologize, but we always strive to adhere to the schedule provided at the time of booking. The reason we offered you a later shift at 11:00 is that we were unable to offer you free transportation at the last minute at 9:35 pm because all of our mini-buses were full. We responded promptly to your message (sent at 21:32) and offered solutions, including transportation and program adjustments. Unfortunately, you chose to cancel before we could assist further. Since the concerns you raised do not align with the facts of your booking—including the clearly stated location, meeting time, and our cancellation policy—Viator has reviewed the case and determined that a refund is not applicable under their terms as well. We sincerely apologize that we were unable to meet your expectations this time. The excursion was well organized and enjoyable, though the cleanliness of the vehicle transporting us from the cruise ship port to where the excursion boat was docked left a lot to be desired. We enjoyed both the snorkeling and the stand-up paddle-boarding. Would have loved to do even more snorkeling. We enjoyed using the sea scooters!

Enjoyed snorkeling but a bit rushed

Enjoyed the actual snorkelling experience. Stand up paddle boarding was ok but was a bit rushed and took place on a busy beach, would have rather used this time for more snorkeling. Staff were accommodating of changing our experience time due to later than planned arrival of our cruise. As a consequence we almost missed our boats departure and would have if it wasn't for Johns amazing driving.

No SUP or transport back to cruise port

First we were expecting SUP which was the main reason we booked it. That was nonexistent. There was only snorkeling. The other big problem was we were told that pick up and drop off would be the same. We were picked up from the cruise port, but dropped off downtown and we’re left to our own devices to find a bus back to the cruise port. Of course, unless you paid and booked the bus ahead of time, they wouldn’t let you on. Major difficulty especially when traveling with a child. The guides for snorkeling were great.

Unfortunately, on this day it was quite windy and for beginners (especially as you also specified with children) we were not able to offer this opportunity. Regarding your transportation, after the end of your tour, we asked your group if you would like to continue walking in Chania's old town or go straight back to the cruise ship. Your whole group agreed to stay in town so our guide showed you where the free shuttle bus is located to take you back.

This was disappointing. We did the snorkeling and Sup tour. Today was windy and that can’t be helped. Pros It was only our group Fruit was good Pickup and drop off was prompt and on time. Cons We waited 30 mins to be given A snorkel and fins - the dive group was large and took up much more time - for efficiency they could have got our small group of 4 fins and mask and got us to the water. Very choppy and the first place boat driver stopped was so rough - he hooked anchor to fish basket and boat drifted - then he took us closer to rocks and still too rough - by this point we said let’s abandon - he tried another spot which was much calmer - should have went here first - however by this time we only had 20 mins in water snorkelling. We then returned and there was no mention of the sup - we were taken straight back to our hotel. Felt for the price this was a huge rip off. Would not recommend.

First of all, we had a large group of divers that day, which caused a minor delay in our schedule. It is worth noting that the program lasts three hours, which means that you spend three hours on the boat. We offered you a private boat excursion instead of a boat trip with more people in order to offer you more privacy, as you were a family of four. Furthermore, please keep in mind that we cannot predict what the weather will be like, however, we always choose the best location so as to offer a safe boat trip to our guests. Therefore, because the weather was not suitable for SUP, the Snorkeling lasted longer. The skipper was also looking for the best location in order to offer you the most enjoyable program.

They changed the time and left us!

We scheduled this boat trip and were looking forward to it. Less than 24 hours before leaving, the tour operator changed the time - moving it up to 8:30AM from 9AM. We didn't get a text, email or phone call. We showed up outside the cruise port for pick up at 8:50AM and waited until 9:30AM. They left us! The only way to know about the time change was to go to the app, click on "contact tour operator" and the message about the time change was there! We missed the boat and they won't refund my $175.90. We ended up taking a $6 bus to Old Town in Crete and LOVED it! We had lunch in the harbor and shopped in the charming town. Way better!

Firstly, we would like to point out that the date and time of your scheduled program have never been changed, and were confirmed by the time you made your reservation. Since you had overlooked the date we sent you our confirmation email with detailed information regarding your pick-up point and time, it seems like you messed up the time that the activity started (9:00 am) and the time of the pick-up (8:30 am)! The disappointing result was you missed the shuttle. However, we did wait for you for more than 20 minutes trying repeatedly to find you on your phone, by the time the rest 26 of the guests from your cruise ship, that were participating also in the same program as yours, started to complain about the unexpected delay! Therefore, in order to be on time for starting our program, we had to leave. Taking the aforementioned fact into consideration, it would be reasonable for you to show the slighted understanding that it was your oversight that you did not take part in the program, and not our negligence as you maliciously imply.

Amazing Experience

We had such an enjoyable time on the water with our Irish instructor Josh. He was informative, helpful and fun. We were fortunate enough to snorkel inside a cave due to the still weather, plus saw and held some sea creatures. Also our first time on a SUP and not our last. In addition, we kindly informed you that we have rescheduled your booking for the next day, but you never showed up for our appointment, and of course, we gave you a full refund despite that.

It was horrible because we never got picked up for our excursion! I tried to call them and was told a different location. That location Was so far away to us we would never make it. I wrote in the note section a specific place to be picked up. They claim they did not get that note.

We have taken your comments under serious consideration and have therefore gone through our company profile and booking form on Viator: Visiting the platform, you may distinctly find detailed information on our programs and the services provided, where it is clearly stated that the Hotel pick up and drop off is provided within the region of Chania. On the booking form, the customer is requested to fill in the pick-up location, so that we can schedule the service and reconfirm the exact pick-up point and time. Unfortunately on your reservation, there was no pick-up location filled in. So, we have sent you our exact address, assuming you will be coming in your own car. However, on your arrival date, around 2 hours before the program starting time, you have informed us over the phone that you are in the region of Heraklion, which is approximately 2,5 hours drive from Chania, waiting for your transfer. As you understand, even if we provided transfers between different regions, it would not be possible to schedule that for you at that time. We completely understand your disappointment after missing the program, but we believe we have followed our reservation confirmation procedure, as we usually do with all our guests, in order to provide them with exemplary service and quality. Although unpleasant circumstances may always occur, we are confident enough that we are trying with each guest to enhance our standards and provide the best service and do hope to be able to have you in our programs sometime in the future!

Pros: Fantastic drivers and guides; Omega Divers are wonderful. I felt super safe and prepared for the experience. I hadn't been snorkeling in years and never in the ocean. It was beautiful and peaceful. If you get chilly, take the wetsuit! I was fine though. Big thanks to Jonathon for sticking with our group, documenting our underwater adventures, wrangling us, and managing some slightly challenging dynamics (see below). Also big thanks to Petros (I hope I spelled that right), who drove us all around and got me safely me to/from Chania. Cons: - There were two small things that were a little tough and I don't think that common based on reviews. Half of my group didn't show up for the meet point and we waited 30 minutes - booking via apps apparently makes contacting parties difficult so remember that! - and then finally left without them (I feel like cancellation fees should kick in at some point). The other half of the group lived in the town where the Omega Headquarters was/where we were leaving from and they had been waiting for almost an hour (and were understandably frustrated). Everyone eventually showed up. It was a little tense at first, but everything turned out fine once we were out on the water, and we just stayed out for longer. That might have contributed to the second minor issue... - I understood that this was both SUP and snorkeling, but they gave us the option and we opted in for the SUP. That was great and a wonderful challenge for me. I only fell off about five times. However, they switched our boats for the activities and then we needed to swim into shore with the SUP folks and leave our stuff on the boat (basically we could take it, but unless it's in a water sealed thing, it will get wet). We were assured multiple times that the boat would stay there for the hour or so during SUP, but it actually left to deal with another group (I noticed other peoples' gear when we transferred) and I was not happy to be separated from literally everything I owed on a random beach in Crete (phone, wallet...etc). Nothing happened, and all my stuff was completely fine, but just a heads up. Jonathon was with us the whole time, and did a great job dealing with those of us who were a bit edgy about having all our stuff (including towels) MIA for about 20-30 minutes (that we knew about). Overall, a wonderful day and I'd definitely recommend!

This was a great tour! Everyone was super friendly. The water was beautiful. I suggest taking the wetsuit when offered because it can be chilly and bringing a big beach towel to wrap up in because after snorkeling and removing the wet suit the wind can be brutally cold.
