I love the water, and I knew that I would enjoy this outing, but I think this was the highlight of my family's trip. The crew really go out of their way to take care of you, and to make sure that you have a good time. They provide a fresh breakfast with juice and coffee, they cook a lunch on the boat that was some of the best food we had during our entire trip, and a dessert that I heard was delicious...but I missed it because I was enjoying those aqua blue waters to my heart's content (no regrets). I have never in my life experienced beaches this beautiful, and the history of Gramvousa Island is fascinating. All of these things, combined with plenty of wine/beer, and a wonderful group of people from so many different places...it was the perfect way to spend a day! I hope to do it again. Please, if you even think you might have motion sickness...put a patch on or take your medicine ahead of time. My son was sick on the way out to the beach, but he recovered fairly quickly. The crew was great at giving him tips on how to get through it, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

So happy I booked this smaller lux Catamaran tour vs. the bigger boat with dozens of people. It's worth spending the extra money. The max on this CAT is 22 people so it's intimate and personal. Captain Yannis was great, very skilled & experienced. His crew was wonderful as well. We had a windier day so Captain Yannis broke out his dinghy to get us 40' to shore & back safely. The beaches were beautiful and getting there early on this tour meant when the crowds of people are off loading their vessel by the dozens, you're boarding your sailing CAT and heading out to the next beach! We chose the early tour at 8:30am for this reason and it did not disappoint! If you're prone to seasickness wear a transdermal patch, works wonders! Or take "non-drowsy" Dramamine. This one girl on the boat could barely keep her eyes open between her instagram selfies lol, but she wasn't sick!

This was an amazing experience! The boat was a small group so plenty of space. The lunch and snacks served were wonderful. Our captain was very friendly and knowledgeable. Best sailing trip we have done!

Beautiful day from start to finish! Catamaran was so pleasant to be on such a smooth sail to Balos
Team on board were fantastic shout out to Panos our captain, Max our chef & Michael the team crew ! Very attentive all day asking if we were ok for drinks etc FOOD was fantastic
Stating with coffee biscuits & cake, then fruit & platter with cold meats cheese olives etc,,,
Lunch was Rossini grilled chicken mussels two types of salad & bread … amazing I didn’t want the day to end

This is a true luxury experience. It is a small group on the catamaran so you aren’t there with a ton of people. Comfortable seating. The crew is extremely attentive. Always asking if you need a drink, blanket, etc. Food is top notch. Dimitri’s, Jess and Yannis are the best crew. They also filled us in with all the history. I 100% recommend this excursion. Beautiful sites, great crew and food. You also get to beat the huge ferries that come in with tons of people. By the time they are arriving you are leaving.

What a fun day! Peter, Max, and Spiro did an excellent job and made the day so enjoyable! They were very personable, helpful and friendly and made sure that we were all taken care of! We were especially grateful that they got us to Balos beach before the big crowds arrived on the ferry! Balos beach is an incredible place to visit! Catamaran ride to 2 beaches. The day was beautiful as well as the beaches. You could visit these beaches by ferry but would recommend this better. We were a small group which made it special. Lunch was served and it was delicious. Mussels, salad, chicken, bread and orzo with seafood. Also plenty of beer and water. You could also snorkel, swim & paddle board.

Dimitri is an outstanding boat captain, Yiannis is an excellent driver and Jessica is a fantastic chef! Bring water shoes to visit Balos beach and climb the hillside and to see the church and amazing view of Balos. Also shoes needed to visit the fortress on Gramvousa island.

There is no better way to enjoy Balos and Gramvousa than this. Such beautiful views with such a personal experience. Can’t imagine seeing this any other way. Beautiful day at sea. This was a great way to see some of the most gorgeous beaches of Chania. The crew & boat was great. My only complaint is that the boat felt too crowded. There should have been about 15 people vs. the 25 that were on board. Also, lunch ran out as there were some very hungry guests! I recommend the team serve the guests to ensure everyone was fed. Overall, it was a beautiful day & a perfect way to end our fabulous vacation.

This was truly a spectacular experience. The crew was amazing, food delicious and we were ahead of the large boats filled with a thousand tourists the entire day. There can’t be a better way to see Balos lagoon and Gramvousa.

Wonderful day on the water! The crew members (Demitri & Jessica) were awesome, ensuring that we were never without food and beverages, and were always there to entertain and explain the different sites! The food (prepared by Jessica) was absolutely delicious with plenty to go around! This tour definitely did not disappoint!! Highly recommend!

I've experienced a lot of catamarans in my travels and this one ranks pretty highly. The boat was in great condition; it had powered toilets and good quality cushions on all the benches. My only complaint was the nets were small and only able to support 2 people on each side.
The food was amazing.
When we arrived we were greeted with French press coffee, tea, biscuits, and spinach pastries. As soon as that was done they started with drink service and it never stopped.
There was constantly someone walking around asking if you needed anything else.
Snack was a cheese plate and bruschetta.
Lunch was mussels, rice with shrimp, chicken, greek salad, and bread sticks. One lady has some food allergies so they made her a single portion of the items she couldn't eat.
Lastly desert was something similar to a strawberry cheesecake.
I don't think we ran out of any of the foods.
The music was mostly American oldies, when I asked why the crew said they loved it. I also enjoy it but thought it was an interesting choice. The volume was reasonable and we were still able to have conversations with each other.
We stopped at Balos first and then went to Gramvousa. I felt we had a good amount of time at each location.
The crew timed the destinations in such a way that we barely missed a huge ferry full of people at both location. This was amazing as it allowed us to focus on the experience and not the 100s of other people swarming off the other boat.
In Balos the only way to get to the beach was by swimming. This could make things challenging for someone with limited mobility.
At Gramvousa after about half the time they were able to dock so that people could walk off the boat rather than swimming.
I would recommend this to anyone.

We can’t say enough great things about this excursion! The staff was personable, kind, and made our day a 10/10. A special shout out to Jessica, who went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was impeccable, and we were taken to the most amazing beaches. The whole trip was luxurious and we would do it again in a heart beat.

Absolutely lovely staff. The main guy, Dimitri??? ( could be getting his name wrong) he was absolutely amazing. He made the trip. Food was soooo good too. The wind was awful and we were so Cole and couldn’t get into the water, or do much but the experience of the company made it still great considering.

This is the best Boat Tour we have ever been on. From the start of the trip to the end, you are treated by Dimitri and Jessica like you are so special. The homecooked Greek meal created by Jessica was stupendous. Meanwhile, Dimitri made personal contact with every member of the passengers on board. The scenery was wonderful too,especially snorkeling in the aqua waters.

We booked three boat tours with DanEri Yachts during our stay in Crete, and this one was hands down the best! No doubt Balos and Gramvousa were breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming, but what truly set this tour apart was the exceptional service and the crew's genuine hospitality. Jessica made one of the best meals we had on the island, and her partner made sure we were always comfortable, bringing drinks to wherever we were relaxing on the boat and frequently checking in to see if we needed anything.
It was easily one of the highlights of our week in Crete—if not the best!

I had read the great reviews, so it was difficult for the staff to exceed expectations. However they really lived up to expectations. The service was great, the food was delicious.
The day itself was great. We could swim, snorkel, peddle board, etc. The two stops were beautiful as well the journey to reach them.

If you’re looking for a way to explore Balos and Gramvousa, but want to avoid having to trek there or taking the ferry, do this!! It was such a stress free day and the boat was lovely. Balos and Gramvousa were absolutely stunning. It was so nice to basically explore it all alone. This trip is timed to avoid the ferry onslaught of people at both locations. Also, the food is stellar! I would definitely do this trip again and totally recommend it! Also, I love swimming and this trip gave me plenty of time to swim and snorkel in the Aegean!

The whole day was amazing! Staff were great and so friendly. Food was delicious and lots of it. Loved doing the smaller boat tour, we were able to beat the crowds from the big ship to both spots and we enjoy before all the people arrived. Beer and wine included. 100% recommend
