You still have to pay 20 E when you get to the site. Also we couldn’t hear the speaker on the boat. My friends were disappointed.

The description of the activity correctly states its purpose. It’s a straight ferry ride to the Lepur Colony island no frills. Once on the island you can pay an additional 20 euros to walk around the fort. Meh at best.

A really interesting trip. Meeting point clearly explained and easily accessible. However the Information stated a guided tour. We had an English speaking guide who was knowledgeable but she spoke to us for about 20 minutes then we were left to wander around d the island on our own. We thought the guide would be with us pointing out things and also be available to answer any questions. Overall we enjoyed the trip but didn't feel it was a guided tour.

The trip is inaccurately described on Viator, where there is no mention of the swimming stop, the points of interest en route or the tour guide on the island.
Trip was quite well organised, but very crowded boat and it is necessary to arrive at least an hour early to secure seats in the shade.
To gain access to the ship, you have to show your booking and are then given a boarding pass. As my phone steadfastly refused to connect to any Greek network, I could not show this, was not believed and had to walk back some distance to the office to “get proof”. All this resulted in us having to reschedule for the following day.
Once on the island, the guide was very informative, but group was huge and we had to spend quite a long time standing. It was incredibly hot.
Overall, a satisfactory and good value way to see Spinalonga.

The island of Spinalonga has a very rich history but unfortunately you only get to spend 1.5 hours there. Part of this time is lost waiting for everyone to disembark and the actual tour guide did not start until 30mins after the boat arrived. The stop to swim in the bay for 30mins is a complete waster of time.

For the cost of the trip, it is a good value. There was plenty of seating on the boat. The tour guide provided an update in one place and pointed out various things, then we had plenty of time to explore on our own.

All in all very good at this price. Spinalonga definitely worth visiting. There is a swim on the way there, shame it’s not on the way back as it would make more sense. The guides story is a little lengthy but overall gives a good idea of islands history.

Unfortunately, we were not told that the boat stopped for swimming so weren't equipped for it. Boat was over crowded and it was very hot so an uncomfortable ride over to the island. Ours was the biggest (English) group and we couldn't hear the guide. Would have been better had we been able to learn more about the history of Spinalonga. Hardly any shade on the island so unbearably hot. In hindsight, we wouldn't have gone in July.

The trip was OK. Not enough time to visit the island (we had around 50min) and we missed out on a lot of things. I would avoid standing for 25min in one place listening to the guide and maybe just have a walking tour. I would also recommend skipping the 25min random swim around the boat as the point of the trip is visiting Spinalonga.
We could not even try the beach on the island which had some amazing waters, nor had the time for the gift shop.
Overall, I would recommend finding your own way to the island which might allow for more time and freedom

Really enjoyed this trip to Spinalonga. Boat crew was amazing. Only feedback is wish she didn't spend 45 minutes stopping for a swim (this wasn't mentioned in the intinerary at all, so we couldn't participate even if we wanted to as we didn't bring swim suits). I would much rather have that time on the island. We only had enough free to practically run to the top and get a few pictures before racing to catch the boat.

Nice stop, beautiful place. Suggestion skip the guide tour and go on your on. The mail toppic is the lazzaretto period but the island hai 700 years of hystory under the venivano and the ottomans that is much more interessino to me

Very good trip over with a tour guide if you want or you could go around on your own.
The ferry on the way back was a bit of a pain as people were leaving the bags on seats to reserve seats which was unfair for others and this wasn’t dealt with very well

We found that we had 1.5 hours at the island. We lined up to get off the ship, in line to buy tickets to the island then walked off with at least 50 for English speaking. She led us past many points of interest at which point we decided to read and explore on our own. We don’t know what would be better but this was disappointing 😟
