Rushed but got the experience of Santorini

Should have listened to the other reviews. We wanted to see Santorini and with our limited time this seemed like the best choice. We hoped going in May was still early in season, but it’s still crowded. It is not a small tour and there was no option to go to the black beach as advertised. Very misleading. The tour guide did her best trying to wrangle 50 people. We did see highlights but if you want to experience Santorini you need at least 2 days.

Viator is attentive and has given us good information and seems professional. It was quite an expensive tour including only the boat trip and bus / guide. A meal could have been included for the price, NOK 4200,- for 2 persons. The boat trip was longer then expected. The guide Marco and the bus driver did a great job. Santorini was lovely, though it was very crowded. The docking experience at the bay could have ended ln tragedy as the landing fell down. The boat was not moored when we went onshore. Security must be tightened! Luckily it all went well!

I read very bad review a about Platan tours so I was a bit afraid, but we had a great time. I would recommend not to request hotel Pickup, myguess is that is the reason for so many bad reviews. The tour was a bit rushing, but for young adults it’s bearable. The transportation was fine, the ferry took almost 3 hours. Our guide Lucy was very professional, we learned a lot. Santorum I is beautiful, we had 1,5 hour in Oeia, and depending on your choice 3/4 to 3 hours in Fira. We chose the volcanic tour, it was something worth to visit. Overall we were statisfied

Wrong information! Heraklion, not Rethymnon

This boat trip was not from Rethymnon, but from Heraklion, which makes a big difference when travelling with a little toddler. The trip took approximately 17-18 hours, not 12, with lots of time inside coaches with face masks on. Santorini was beautiful, but we feel fooled. I even mailed the company when I got our pickup time (5:20) because that seemed strange when we were going to the port in Rethymnon so close by. But we got the answer that everything was in order. None said we were going to Heraklion so far away. If we knew, we would have skipped this tour because it is too much for a 1,5 year old. Also, we were more than 15 persons in the coach on Santorini (maybe 30, but that was ok, we still had some space) and a lot more in the transfer bus. The Sea Jet ferry got cramped with people while going off to Santorini, we had to stand like a big herd of animals.

hello lovisa because the covid first time the last 40 yrs the boat start from rethymno very late and we change the clients to heraklion or they can canceled if they want

Embarquement et débarquement comme du bétail .Encore en cale et le bateau redémarre déjà, avec les risques que l ' on pense. Par contre, le personnel , pendant la traversée, à été très présent. MAIS NOUS NE SOMMES PAS DU BÉTAIL...

Fullt køkaos på starten av turen. Mange ulike køer, og man aner ikke hvilken kø man skal stå i. Selv om du har billett på telefon må du uansett stå i 30-45 min i kø for å få billett. Dette var fra 7 på morgenen. Båten til Santorini varer 3 timer den ene veien og over 4 timer tilbake. På veien bort kjørte båten så fort og bølgene var forferdelige. Mange som satt å spøy.. Når man kommer ut av båten kommer man til et buss -og turist kaos uten like. Vi hadde betalt for en engelsk guide, men endte opp med en TYSK. Dette ble ikke turen vi forestilte oss. Vi fikk 1,5 time fritid i Oia, og 2,5 time i Fira. Resten av de 14 timene turen tok satt man inne i båt eller inne i buss. Anbefales ikke.

Good morning,as you said,there were a lot of waves and the trip from 2.5 hours the boat did 3 hours an at the return was more waves and the biat did 4 hours.So its reasonable to arrive late in santorini and lose 2,5 hours because the weather and you stay 1.5 hours in oia than 2,5 hours you normanly had from the programm and you stay 2,5 hours in thira than 3 hours,That the weather was bad thats not our fault!!That you misses out your bus with english guide because you detay thats your mistake because our booking was with english and not german guide!
