Not value for money

I booked this all inclusive tour with my family. Although we can't fault the guide Ahmad Mohamed, who was obviously knowledgeable in the history, the trip was rushed & not at all what was advertised. It did not appear that Ahmad was informed of the package either as he sought information from us & kept asking for the itinerary. We didn't see Amr bin As mosque as it is under renovation so this was just pointed to us from the road side. The whole trip was approximately 4 hours including traffic from one place to the other yet it was advertised as an 8 hour tour with lunch included ( I will come to the lunch bit later). The overview stated that fees to the entrance is included yet when we started the journey we were told that it wasn't so we had to pay for this ourselves. It also states that lunch is included & we will be given bottled water which we needed at the beginning of the journey but nothing was offered. The lunch was actually falafel & bean paste in half pita bread that was bought from the street together with water whilst we were waiting in the car. This was supposedly the lunch that was offered which we were told we can eat in the car on our journey back to our address. The only positive with the so called lunch was the bottle water was cold. A total rip off for the amount of money paid for the tour and the experience did not match the price. Very disappointed!

Good experience

Our guide Mohamed El Wazir was very nice and let us explore everything, even though we had to change our tour going to the museum which we had to go a day before but our other tour from “my Cairo tours” never showed. Mohamed El Wazir was kind enough to try and show us everything he could in the time we had, took pictures of us everywhere and bought us food and drinks! Really nice guy. We recommend him 🤩

I enjoyed my day tour Discover...

I enjoyed my day tour Discover Coptic and Islamic Cairo, although the itinerary was different from was advertised. We did not visit the Abu Serga Church as it was closed for renovation. I was very much looking forward to seeing this church and it was the primary reasons I booked this tour. I think the fact that this church was closed should have been disclosed at the time of booking as, had I known that, I would likely have selected another tour. We also did not visit the Saint George Church for no stated reason. We did visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue which has an interesting history and an additional mosque. The guide was knowledgeable and shared the history of each place we visited. He was also willing to answer my general questions about Egypt. The entire tour lasted approximately six hours, including lunch and travel time. Lunch was delicious koshari and a nice way to end the day.
