We opted for the early morning guided private tour. It was the perfect call. Our guide was friendly informative and entertaining. It wasn’t crowded yet and the morning sun illuminating the stained glass was stunning. Came away with plenty of history on both the Sagrada and Gaudi. Highly recommended.

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!!!!!
We booked 3 months in advance with tower access and 3 DAYS before the tour I got a message from Amigo Tours that due to “logistical reasons” we would not have tower access. I tried contacting them through every mechanism possible and they never responded/would not answer. The only resolution in their initial notification was to check the ticket office after the tour to see if there are tickets. That suggestion is ABSURD since tickets sell out 3-4 weeks in advance. And of course none were unavailable. There was no problem with others from our same tour group going up and Viator/Amigo had 3 months to procure the tickets. I should have done it myself.
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! Everyone else in the tour who booked tower access went up and we did not. The tour guide offered no real help except for feigned condolence.
Did I mention DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!!!
Viator confirmed we booked the tower access tour and should have been able to go up but could not fix it with Amigo. Amigo blamed Viator for the problem.
They provided a tiny refund but we didn’t want a refund we wanted a tower access tour like we booked 3 months prior! So what we got was an overpriced mediocre tour that inexplicably met 4 blocks away.
Awful experience - avoid this tour so you do not miss out on the tower access with no way to fix it and with no response from Amigo Tour and no help from Viator to hold Amigo to upholding their obligation of the tour that was booked.
DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!!!!

The tour guide Adrit was knowledgeable. However we prefer to do the audio tours on own. we booked thru this company to obtain access to the towers because online the towers were sold out. Days before our tour, we were told we no longer had access to the tower as part of this tour. We were able to purchase the tower access at the church fortunately. Next time, we will book direct.

It was a great experience and the guide was super engaging…. You could tell he was fascinated about the basilica and it’s history and the meaning of all the elements…. And he transmitted that to the audience with always a smile and great attitude. I really recommend to have these guided tour.

When we purchased the tickets, it included going into one of the towers, but then we were not able to do it. It was frustrating that the entire tour couldn’t be completed. Luis our guide was FANTASTIC! He did an amazing job explaining everything about the place.

The tour guide was nice enough but it started off stressful. The Meetup point was not clear enough. We got dropped off at the Sagrada Família and didn’t realize the meetup point was several blocks away. We were just given an address and we assumed it was right next to the cathedral but it wasn’t, and that was not made clear. The confusion happened to several of us in the group Making some people late. It would have been very helpful to let us know that the meetup point was several blocks away in front of Santander bank, and it would have also been helpful to know the cross streets. I understand if groups are not allowed to congregate outside of the cathedral, but in this extreme heat, meeting a block or a block and a half away would have been more than enough. We had to walk 10 minutes from where we got dropped off by the cathedral and then had to walk all the way back to the cathedral, so we were all hot and tired before the tour began. Please make meeting point more clear, and instead of just providing a street #, please provide cross streets and context clues like name of business we will meet near!! Most people who sign up for this tour are not locals

The most beautiful church I have ever visited. The guide Roger was very passionate on his explanation of the different areas of the church and pointed out the reasoning for each architectural design.

As usual with a viator tour it was confusing and had poor communication. We had tickets and an app saying the meeting point was in one place and the text from the tour had the meeting in another place after we took a taxi to the place on our tickets. No one answered my messages trying to clarify. The tour itself was fantastic. I am glad I got to see this church, it was in my bucket list and is absolutely worth every penny. The guide was very knowledgeable.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Dear Deborah.

Our tour guide “Martha” sounded good in the beginning but once we got to Segrada Familia she did not have much to say other than pointing out the columns and reading names in the stained glass. A pre-recorded tour would have been much better.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Guest.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your comments regarding Martha. Guided experiences can be perceived differently depending on each traveler’s interests and expectations, and we value you sharing your perspective.

Christie_a, Jun 2026
The guide was fantastic, the group size was way larger than agreed within your ticket. We had 28 when it was supposed to be a maximum of 10. The tower tour was cancelled likely because of the group size and refunded, but couldn’t get an additional tower tour for the same included price or availability. 28 is WAY too big.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear customer.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad the guide provided a good service. All tour details are explained in advance, and we regret that the experience was not fully to your liking.

I can’t even describe to you what this is like when you walk through the doors. It’s a feeling like you’ve never had before. You have to do the store. You will just fall in love with his building the architectural aspect that is put into this is just off the charts.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Julie, thank you for your comments. We are delighted to hear you had such a powerful experience and that you enjoyed the architecture and atmosphere of the building. We truly appreciate your recommendation.

Disregard the dress code guidelines I copied and pasted below and be comfortable. The official dress code guidelines featured on Viator include:Cover Shoulders: Sleeveless tops and tank tops are not permitted.Cover Knees: Shorts and skirts must come down to at least mid-thigh (knee-length is generally the safest bet). Our group consisted of people wearing tank tops, spaghetti straps, cutouts on front and back of a woman’s one shoulder top and many shorts which were approximately 5 inches above the knee. Had I not complied with the guidelines I would have been comfortable.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Melinda, thank you for your comments. We understand your observation regarding the dress code information. The guidelines provided are based on the access requirements communicated by the venues and are shared to help visitors avoid any inconvenience on the day of the tour. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Amigo Tours – Rodrigo.

Our guide was great! He shared some interesting stories about the architect and pointed out various aspects of the iconography.
Vivian_M, May 2026
It was a good tour. We were told it was a must see and enjoyed it very much. Our guide did have to circle back to find some people as they didn't keep up with the group. A suggestion would be for him to carry some kind of identifying stick/pole like we saw many other tour operators doing. When you have over 30 people in the tour it is hard to keep sight of the leader.
Tim_M, May 2026
This is my second time to go to Sagrada Família - it is impressive and a must see. I chose this tour specifically to gain tower access, as I didn’t do that the first time. If you’re reading this, you know you need to book tickets way in advance. So the day before our tour, I get an email saying for ‘logistical reasons’ that part of the tour was cancelled. Too late to make other arrangements, and no further mention during the tour. Additionally, we had to wait 15 min in the hot sun to get in for the main part of the tour, as they had some other kind of ticketing issue that was not explained. I got a tiny refund back which they said was for the tower portion. They did not respond to my message to them afterwards either.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Tim.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Whenever changes occur, we inform our guests as soon as possible and provide the available alternatives or solutions. We appreciate your feedback and regret that your experience was not fully satisfactory.

You can actually continue to tour the Sagrada Família after this tour ends. Wish we’d known that ahead of time so we could’ve checked out of the hotel instead of having to race back. You can easily spend half a day here. There’s so much to look at. The tour walks you through parts of the exterior and interior. You also have access to the museum and school, plus a couple of gift shops. Our guide Adria (Adrian) was great and made the tour very entertaining. For the tower, if you’re claustrophobic or scared of heights I wouldn’t recommend it. This tour gets you a ticket for one of the towers. You go up in an elevator but then have to climb down 400 spiral steps to descend. There are a couple of viewing spots but they were crowded with people who were parked there taking photos. The last 2 mins of the descent is in tight and unventilated quarters. The stairs there have a railing only on one side. There is a handhold area on the inner part of the spiral but if you don’t like heights or tight spaces you don’t want to be trapped in there while people are trying to head out. The whole tower tour took us 15 mins because we were rushing to get out of there to head back to the hotel but they average about 25 mins for that portion.

Very informative. Our guide, Gonzalo, was simply the best!!! He knew every inch of that place and made it fun.
Michelle_L, May 2026
A wonderful tour of Sagrada de La Familia. Miguel did a fantastic job of explaining the church’s history, architectural features, and meaning. He was fun upbeat tour guide that kept everyone engaged.
Anthony_R, May 2026
Our tour guide, I believe her name was Cassandra, was great. Clearly loved the topic and Mr, Antoni Gaudi! It was great to experience it with her.
Robert_J, May 2026
Sagrada Família is the number one attraction in Barcelona for a reason. For me this is was a cultural, emotional & awe inspiring journey through a landmark & story that covers over 140 years of history.
The guided tour was brilliant & Luis was able to share his considerable knowledge. The towers visit offers yet another perspective of the Basílica & definitely shouldn’t be missed!
Victoria_V, May 2026
Luis was a great guide. There is so much detail and history that we never would have known without doing a guided tour. It was just the right amount of time and we learned so much about Gaudi and the Sagrada Familia itself. Truly a breathtaking piece of art and something you don’t want to miss!
Marla_C, May 2026
Tour was great. Sagrada Família is a beautiful church. Well worth the visit. Booking was easy and communication was excellent.
Linda_L, May 2026
I became very sick the day before and reached out to the tour operator who never got back to me. I never had my tour and I was never credited.
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Linda. We are very sorry to hear that you were unwell and regret that you were unable to join the tour. We always review these situations according to the booking conditions and do our best to assist where possible. We appreciate your understanding and are at your disposal for any further assistance.

The Sagrada Familia is breathtaking. This tour was definitely needed as it was so crowded and the line was so long. They give you ear pieces to hear your guide clearly and it was such a clever idea. I learned so much aboit the basilica as well, the guides were great.
