- We cannot predict when La Sagrada Familia will be crowded. In general, long lines are common at major attractions in summer, on most weekends, and during peak travel periods throughout the year (Christmas, Easter, local holidays). The skip-the-line ticket enables you to skip the line if indeed there is one. Unfortunately there is no way to foresee the days and times that produce lines
- All visitors must pass through metal detectors at the security check point, so please expect to wait 20-30 minutes to clear security
- Children younger than 6 years old, unaccompanied minors (under 18 years old) and people with reduced mobility are not allowed to go up to the towers
- A maximum of 9 people per booking
- As it is a Catholic church, visitors must dress appropriately, is requested for entrance to the Sagrada Familia Basilica. No tank tops, strapless shirts, short shorts or sandals will be accepted. Also Visitors will not be allowed to enter with special clothing to celebrate any sort of festivities.
- Due to limited capacity of the elevators, there may be a waiting time between the Basilica and museum guided tour and elevator access. Tower visits will be without a guide. The lift´s operation is subject to cancellation depending on weather conditions and other causes. On the way out of the tower you may need to use the stairs.
- Failure to show up at the established check-in time may entail losing the tour.
- The Sagrada Familia kindly requests that visitors refrain from wearing or displaying any religious symbols upon entry. Please note that failure to comply may result in denial of entry.
- Although you may receive an email with a different address, the meeting point is always at OFFICE JULIÀ TRAVEL: C/SARDENYA 311.
- Admission staff may request official documentation to verify the children’s age (ID, Passport, etc). If this documentation is not provided, the payment of the difference corresponding to the adult rate may be required.
- Sagrada Família Tower access is limited and subject to availability and restriccions until the day of the visit.

The actual tour guide was very good.
The rest of the experience dealing with the tour company was not.
My wife and I and another couple were travelling together with the wife's taking the standard tour and the husband's taking the Tower Access tour. We arrived 8:45 am, 15 minutes earlier than the tour start time as recommended, only to be told that both tours had been cancelled and that we would have to come back at noon or 3:00 pm.
We had booked this tour months prior, travelled by Uber to get there on time and continued to receive emails confirming that the tour was scheduled to proceed on that date and time. What made it even more frustrating was the fact that a standard tour was heading out at the 9:00 am start time we had booked. This was totally unacceptable and we let the agent there know this. After some back and forth and probably 5 or more minutes after the 9:00 am group left, we were told that we could join that group.
So I didn't get the Tower Access portion I paid for and missed the first portion of the standard tour.
Overall, a very very frustrating experience and not at all what I expect from Viator.
Beautiful church and amazing views from the top! The tour guide was very impressive with knowledge and skills of keeping the group together. I would highly recommend going on this tour!
Easy to find Julia Travel for meeting point. Best part of tour was skip-the-line. Unfortunately if you don't go with a tour company and instead buy your tickets directly in advance, you could be waiting in the queue for entrance for hours in the hot sun, so missing that was probably worth the price of the ticket. It was booked as two hours but we only had an hour, and wasn’t told as such until 15 minutes before ithe cathedral closed at 3pm to get ready for mass. The tour company should have known this was going to happen and we’d have very limited time inside to take in the spectacular windows, light and architecture. The first 30 minutes of the tour were spent walking to the location (very short), brief talk outside, waiting to go through security and then getting the audio guides, which were so full of static it was hard to hear anything she said. Once inside, we had about 15 minutes of commentary and then it was back outside for a little bit more discussion. For the cost of the tour, it was a huge disappointment. We originally picked this tour due to the good reviews and the fact that we could stay inside the cathedral afterwards for more exploration on our own. That did not happen and honestly, they should have refunded half the price of the tickets for cutting the whole thing down to 1 hour to accommodate the closing of 3pm. Do not book this tour unless you have assurances that there are no special events or mass to prevent a long and enjoyable time.
Guide was hard to understand. English was not good. Could only understand small percent of what he told us.
the cathedral itself was jaw dropping, however, we expected more explanation of the history and the background behind the decoration of the towers. our guide was very passionate but the tour was very short for the price we paid
This tour was so amazing. So organized with all the notifications. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The whole experience was seamless and very enjoyable.
Oriol was a great tour guide, he was very easy to understand and was accommodating to all in our group. He spoke very clearly and made sure everyone was hearing him and was also very informative in answering questions when asked. We appreciated his pace and the abundance of detail provided during our tour. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in this tour.

The Basilica is completely awesome, so detailed, the interior stained glass so colorful. Guide was good, just a little long for me standng in each place while he gave us info. Good info tho.

Guide was very knowledgeable. The tower is not for people who don’t like small spaces. You should also make sure you can walk 400 steps.

If you have any issue of mobility or balance issue don't sign up for tower access. The rest of tour was great.
The attraction was amazing. My only concern was that the guide had such a strong accent that it was very difficult to understand what he was saying. Other than that, it was amazing!
I would recommend, you have to visit la Sagrada Familia, must do but not necessary a guide just audioguide and a brochure explaining a bit would have been wonderful. I didn’t appreciate much my guide maybe weather impacted my experience. It was humid+ hot and sun was strong. I do think audioguide like Casa Batlló would have been wonderful and a brochure would have been amazing, no need for a guide and didn’t appreciate you didn’t offer that option on your website. I appreciated skip the line+ organization and going to tower not necessary. It has rails, you can’t take a proper picture. I don’t recommend the tower.
Great tour and our guide, Olga, was excellent. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was excellent and made the tour great. So much information and history that we wouldn’t have gotten on our own without a guide.

I’ve used Viator numerous times and this is the first time I felt along and like they didn’t have my back, feel totally let down. I have a couple of times booked and I’ll see them through but going forward I intend to use get your guild instead… long story short I booked my activity 5 months in advance so was annoyed when I got to the Venue to be informed they had run out of tickets and I’d have to have a basic ticket instead of what I booked !!! Got told as ask Viator for a refund for the different and this took me 4 attempts to get anything with Viator who kept saying I’d get no refund even though I got a different tour to what I’d booked…. Very let down

The elevator up the tower but walk down 500 steps. Steep. some unlit steps on spiral stairway at the end
Anna was great! was i formative about sagrada família and was patient with her tour even though it was hot and crowded. she was able to navigate through the crowds and still be engaged with the people. the meeting point was close to sagrada which helped! the views up top was amazing!
Very good tour. Guide was very thorough at giving us interesting facts about the facades around the church. The tower is worth doing. You take the elevator up and then go down on your own by stairs. Really easy if you have done St Peter’s in Rome.

You should be prepared to climb down over 400 steps from the tower in tight spaces. You should be prepared to keep up with the group and still find time to take photos and try and schedule it late in the afternoon to take full advantage of the late afternoon light!!!
This tour focused on explaining a lot of the outer details (stonework) of the Sagrada Familia, which consisted of a lot of biblical references/stories. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Less time was spent indoors. The trip up the tower was neat, lots of good photo opportunities.

Horrible customer experience. DO NOT book your most important tourist spot in Barcelona with them. We reached 10 mins late to the appojntment as we had issues with maps. They weren’t ready to consider our situation at all and asking to rebook our tickets at full price. They knew we weren’t going to come again to this place and taking advantage of our situation. They have 0 value for customer experience , they are just about extracting money out of the situation.
