Definitely recommend this tour. The skip the line was a nice perk since it does get crowded. Definitely recommend going up into the towers if you are not claustrophobic. Our guide was wonderful and we definitely learned so much more and appreciated more details of Gaudis works because of her knowledge

Elisabeth, our guide, was so knowledgeable and kind. I don’t think there is a better guide to be found than her! We really tried to find something she didn’t know and couldn’t find anything! We had been before but it had been years. We really enjoyed this private tour especially since she pointed out things to us we did not know and we were able to see parts that were recently completed. The skipping the line is wonderful too! We felt we were in the best hands wit her. We will be back and will go again with her so she can show us what has been completed since our last visit. She doesn’t miss a detail!

Had private skip the line tour booked for 4 of us. Last minute change of plans from tour operator with respect to meeting time & guide, but in the event we were able to meet up without issues outside the cathedral to begin the tour. Very knowledgeable guide Manu who brought the outstanding architecture to life. Would have missed so much of the intricate detail without her input. Obviously a very popular site, but it's a unique cathedral & a must visit experience.

Guide was late due to traffic issues and a marathon. We were not informed ahead of time that we would be walking half way there from our hotel and then taking the subway. The guide was informative, but a bit offensive. She also left us at the site to get back on our own, which was unexpected. Would highly recommend visiting the place with any other tour guide.

Hello Lori, I cannot find any booking after your name, so I have opened a report to Viator and they could neither track your booking. Please, may you provide the date of the visit or the booking reference? Concerning your comments, the meeting point regularly is in front of the access at Sagrada Familia and when a guest asks me to meet somewhere else I arrange the ride by taxi to make sure we are always in time and altogether. As long as I remember, and that is the regular procedure, I have not used subway for the ride to Sagrada Familia, always taxis, but I do more than 500 tours in a year. There are races, marathons and other celebrations on the streets of Barcelona, of course, so I cannot assure 100% that exceptionally I could have had issues or delays with the transport. In any case, I am sorry you had some inconveniences during your visit, but I think it is quite likely you had the tour with another guide.

Last minute logistical challenges

Elisabeth was lovely and very knowledgeable. She did make it easier to appreciate fully the history of Sagrada Familia. There were logistic hiccups though. We originally booked our tour for 11am. She emailed a week prior saying the tour was at 4. We communicated quickly and she corrected to 11. However, the day prior to the tour, she messaged to say she had trouble getting tickets and shifted us to 4. We then snuck in with another group (fine I think but felt weird?), but felt the tour was getting dragged on in time, only to find at the end that the bell tower was closed (she says we will get a refund?). We were also caught in a rainstorm and stuck at the exit for another hour waiting for the rain to pass a little. (We recognize the weather isn’t tour related, but the time of the tour absolutely was.). We were sad we lost almost a whole day and didn’t get the whole experience.

Yes, it was very stressful to get tickets with access into the belltowers for that day and the blackout made the process to fail. That was the reason I should changed the timing. And when I had managed to get the tickets then we had the rain. For security, the access into the towers is always closed when raining, as organizing a rescue inside is very difficult, the staircase is very narrow, windows are very small and of course, security is priority number one.

I would highly recommend this tour. I would especially recommend asking for Ester to be your guide. She truly loves her job to go into depth as well and fluid as she did. If I could give 10 stars I would to Ester.

My wife and I have been to Barcelona several times, but never were able to get inside Sagrada Familia. This time we booked a private tour including the towers with Elizabet Morera through Viator and had a phenomenal experience. Elizabet communicated prior to our meeting, and we were able to easily find each other at the start. Her knowledge of Gaudi, and the history of the church was enlightening. The outside is amazing, but what Gaudi envisioned and created on the inside is an architectural wonder. Elisabeth brought all of that to light for us. A must do and see.

This was my second time visiting Sagrada Familia with a private guide. The first time our guide was focused, knowledgeable and engaging. Unfortunately our guide this time was not very informative and was distracted by her phone. The tour was shorter than usual. The private guide was expensive and could have done a much better job.

Our guide Elisbet was fantastic; she shared so much information. Sagrada Familia is truly remarkable. The architecture is amazing and the vision of Gaudì was like no other. All of the detail Elisabet provided truly helped us understand how the church came to be, where it stands now and the future of its existence. We went at 11 am and it was fairly crowded, so having a skip-the-line ticket was helpful and worth it. I would definitely suggest planning this outing in advance as it's very popular in Barcelona.
