Itinerary

Your private tour starts in central Barcelona. Greet your guide and head to the first of your tapas and wine tasting destinations—your guide has handpicked each place in order to showcase local life in Barcelona.

Over the course of the tour, sample glasses of wine and an accompanying tapa in different locations. Educate your palate to recognize the dry notes of Ros Marina White wine and savor the spicy nuances of red wine made using grapes from the Tempranillo region.

Typical tapas could include montaditos, miniature sandwiches filled with cheese and cured meat, or unique combinations including chicken and raspberry. Your tour concludes at your final tasting location in central Barcelona.

We had a wonderful visit with Lusi who gave us a great tour of Barcelona. We went to some great local spots, saw some great sights, had some amazing dishes, and she was super fun and interesting throughout the tour! Thank you!

Worst experience ever. This tour was not what we expected and nothing was planned in advance. We did not feel that our guide, Marina, had prepared any stops and we only recieved minimal food for 7 persons at the 2 stops we visited. This was part of a bachelorette trip and our guide made us feel uncomfortable with the outfits we were wearing as she thought they were ‘too dressy’. Both places were last resorts, after walking around for 40 mins to closed/full restaurants. First stop took nearly 90 mins to receive only 3 tapas total and we were placed at the back where no one was able to serve us (next to cooking supplies like sacks of potatoes). We were then taken to another place where the guide let us know since her time was almost up that she would drop us off at the next place and leave. We did not feel like that was a safe option as we all have never been to the city so opted out of that. Would not book this again and would have appreciated a more organized/planned experience for the amount of money we paid.

RK was a very good host. He took the time to explain many things about the differences in vermouth and introduced us to a variety of tapas. He is also a great listener and ensured we safely caught a cab back to our hotel. This is a fun way to learn more about Barcelona.

The tour was very good, my wife and l had a really enjoyable time with our guide RK. It was an informative and relaxing evening as he he guided us through the history and significance of wine and food in the Catalan region. We stopped at three different tapas bars and savoured the food and drink from each. We would highly recommend for those that are newcomers to this style of dining.

Gounso, “With Locals” was a wonderful guide. It was just the 3 of us. Gounso told us about 4 different areas of Barcelona and a large market then walked with us through 2 different areas pointing out sites and taking us by 3 stops at local tapas restaurants for a different tapa and beverage at each place. All very good and local. Then he gave us some tips on other places to shop and eat. I would highly recommend!

Tour guide chose drinks and tapas at first stop. Not a fan of either. Enjoyed being able to choose own tapa and drink at last stop! Didn't know we could have had that option for the entire tour. Wish there was more of a plan. Guide was very nice, from the states, but ended up getting lost a bit, so we had a detour. I would definitely book another tour, just make it so we could choose our tapas and drinks and get a list of bars we would stop at along the way.

We travel quite a bit and we very often book local tours. This experience was wonderful. Our guide, Moistes (I am not sure I am spelling it correctly) was amazing. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable and fun to be with. He was a textbook of knowledge about the cuisine and the wines. He found out what we liked and disliked and ordered accordingly and perfectly. It was such a great time. We wished we had more than the 2 hours which he actually spent more time with us than that. The time went by so fast! We highly recommend this tour and our guide!!

I was traveling alone. This tour was just perfect. My guide was amazing. He took me around town I would never find or look for. He told me much about history, food, Best restaurants-away from touristy parts and I had amazing tapas!!! great time. I would strongly recommend if you are not into typical touristy adventures.

She had great recommendations on what tapas to get and even helped a few days later in reminding us of some of the places we went so we could go back! Would definitely recommend.

You would think that on a private tour with an experienced local, you would be relatively safe but no! Unbeknown to us our tour ended in probably one of the roughest areas in The Ramblas on a Saturday night! As nice as she was, you would think she would know not to take us there or at least had advised my husband to remove or hide the gold chain around his neck. Instead he was attacked from behind and his chain ripped from his neck with great force! The thief made off down a side street and was gone in seconds. We were told it was pointless to call or go to the police as they are apparently helpless to do anything with this escalating crime in Barcelona. As for the tour itself, it was certainly shy of wine tasting - First stop a glass of martini rosso, a couple of glasses of house wine and ended with poor cider at best. We ate pinchos which is a small slice of bread with a topping, held together with a spike/cocktail stick (cost 1/1.5 euro each) 2 pinchos x 4 venues. It certainly wasn't about traditional tapas. The tour is definitely not worth $66 (60 euros) per person. This happened on the first night of our vacation, we thought it would be a nice starter but couldn't be further from the truth!!!!!
