The redemption message was not clear. It should mentioned redeem at the Information center at Plaza Catalunya. Anyway, the Hola barcelona card is very convenient to travel around in the city.

DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE

I purchased Hola Barcelona transit pass online a few days prior to my arrival in Barcelona. I picked up my card on day 1 of my 2 day layover. The card NEVER worked. I took the card back to the location I picked it up from. I was told I need a new card. I was directed to go to a train station to speak to customer service from TMB. There was no one in the office. After 3 attempts to get this resolved I purchased a second card at the station. This 2 day Hola Barcelona transit pass cost me double the value. This was a very disappointing experience.

Hunted all over Metro station at Six Pitti Fountain as instructed. Never found a place to get the cards. Very dissatisfying experience. Think you should reimburse us Seth and Bonnie - 2 70 year old Americans

Good ticket bad experience redeeming

The list of places to trade in the paper voucher is wrong. There are places listed that no longer have a tourism booth like Sant. The tourism booth in T1 at BCN next to the ticket machines for the Metro is not open (there’s no sign directing you to the open location upstairs near the chapel). Very frustrating and time consuming to redeem the voucher due to the lack of information.

It is so much easier to buy the ticket at the machine in the station rather than buying in advance. It is very difficult to find where to pick them up as the instructions are not clear from Viator. We lost a day and had to buy extra tickets as no one at the airport knew where we should pick up tickets…. Very frustrating and a waste of time.

We walked to a check in point to be gathered with a tour of City Hall, no one had any knowledge of the Hola bus transfers. So, this remained unused.

Dear Wynter, I'm sorry of the bad experience you had. The Hola Barcelona is a travel pass that can be recollected in several point all over Barcelona; it's confusing to me that you reached the City Hall and joined a tour, as it is a completely different product. You should have asked to the public transportation company or the official tourist information centers.

The card does not work on the Aeroport bus. It did work for us at all the ther trains and subways. Not sure if we got our money's worth, maybe the 10 trip ticket would have been enough for us for 4 days.

This card pays for itself if you plan on using the airport train to get to the city, and then use any other public transport more than twice. The transport links are extensive and reliable, there is mobile network throughout and the maps are easy to use here! Would highly recommend!
