All day in a comfortable Mercedes van . Went to so many different places . Stopped at a delicious diner for lunch over looking a beautiful river. Tour includes going to a 5th generation winery. Pickup and drop off at hotel front door on time.

This was an extensive Auckland tour visiting the major highlights. A must do if you a short on time and want to see a lot in a short period. Mike was our guide and he was fabulous and made my hubby and I feel right at home!

Our guide, Danny, was informative, professional and overall excellent. It's a good tour to see Auckland in one day after cruising before checking into the hotel. Pick up and drop off processes were smooth. The few items
That I'd change would be lunch and wine tasting. Lunch can be a simple pie, coffee and dessert rather than a formal dining that took an hour and 20 minutes. It's so-so and pricy. Wine tasting was done over a table with us tasting a dozen different wines. Wasn't worth the time. And the tour descriptions were more 'expansive' than reality.

Our lunch destination is truly an icon of Auckland (1857) with a stunning location. We have been hosting this tour for 10 years and thousands of our guests say this is one of the highlights of the day with an extensive menu of about 70 items you can eat from anywhere from $15-25; or just have a snack and coffee if you'd prefer. The area out west where we travel is the original wine growing region of New Zealand with some of the vineyards almost 100 years old. You get the opportunity to taste 5 wines and this tasting is included in the price of our tour. I appreciate that these activities may not have aligned with your interests but in our tour we showcase the must see highlights, but equally the rich history and culture, fauna and flora not to mention the stunning scenic beauty , particularly 2 elevated stops with spectacular 360 views. This is a comprehensive tour around Auckland whilst also incorporating some short walks. Mike, our guide, was very knowledgeable about Auckland, combining good humour with interesting history and information. The lunch stop was at a picturesque venue and the choice of food/drink to purchase was delicious. The wine tasting was appreciated too. Highly recommend this tour if you have all day available.

Mike was our driver/ guide for this tour. He was informative throughout. The tour took us all around the Auckland area.We were a group of previous strangers but left a group of friends.
One member of the group desperately wanted to obtain an All Blacks jersey so we made a diversion to Eden Park. Mike made great efforts to get the shop to be opened especially for us. We all appreciated this.
After a visit to a winery Mike chose a beautiful restaurant for our lunch break. The meal was delicious.
I would thoroughly recommend this tour should you have a full day to spend in the city. It was worth every penny.

If you only have 8 hours in Auckland, whether on a cruise ship or staying at a hotel, then our Full Day Auckland 8-Hour tour is the perfect tour. Geographically, Auckland is one of the biggest cities in the World and our tour explores that in detail. The topography of Auckland is such that to get the best views you need to be in a smaller vehicle like our Mercedes. We go to places the big 70 seater coaches just cannot go.
