We had such a great time doing this tour! Our tour guide Sophia was so knowledgeable and really went above and beyond to accommodate my mom who was a little slower since she had a broken toe! It was amazing and I couldn’t have been happier! Having a private guide really gives you a personal experience and you get to enjoy the acropolis way more! I would most definitely recommend!

Demetrius was the best! He was so knowledgeable and shared so much history and knowledge with us.
Demetrius and the driver both went out of their way to assist when 2 in the group overdid it and needed assistance getting back to the car.

Pickup as scheduled. Christine (guide) and Harry (driver) were personable and accommodating, adjusting pace to suit the group. Christine was very knowledgeable and presented information in a relatable, engaging way. Because a private tour, we were able to change out one stop on the itinerary for a drive to the highest point in Athens where we enjoyed a spectacular panoramic view of the City. A memorable experience, well worth the money. Highly recommend.

Our guide, Anna, and driver, Chris, were both wonderful! Having a private tour is well worth the cost. We were picked up and returned to our hotel. One of us has difficulty walking and they made it easy for us to see everything up close and at our pace. Anna’s clear explanations and stories taught us so much. The views were spectacular. We really enjoyed this tour. The guide took us to the major spots to see in Athens, and was flexible to take us to a place not on the normal tour (to replace a site we had visited on our own the day before). The Acropolis tour was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Athens...current and historical. Plus, she was able to help us avoid the long (and very inefficient line) for tickets at the Acropolis (that was almost worth the higher fee for the private tour).

We started with our pickup at the hotel in downtown Athens. Before heading to the Acropolis we visited the tomb of the unknown soldier and witnessed the changing of the guard. After that we hit the Acropolis and museum extensively and in depth. Our guide Stravos was with us the entire session, explaining and describing as well as answering all of our questions with patience and detail. We highly recommend this tour, particularly Stravos. Our tour guide was smart enough to contact us the day before to ask if we could start the tour one hour early to avoid the crowds from cruises. It made a big difference in therms of how long we had to wait to get on the path up to the acropolis. Definitely recommend getting a tour guide with the driver for a more detailed description of what you are seeing,

Ruli, our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Ruli explained the history of the Acropolis as well as the temples. I would recommend this tour to anyone. There is a lot of walking on uneven terrain.

The tour is advertised as customizable but that is not really what happened. bottom line is that the Old Stadium tour is just a view from the front. You really don't go in. We did not get to watch the Greek Guards and were told we would come back but that was not the case as we ran out of time. The tour guide was good but if we did not ask we would have gone without a snack for 5 hours. Really!!!
I paid over 400 for a great tour and only got a good tour. Disappointing!

This tour was wonderful! Only 4 of us went on this tour and that provided us with one-to-one attention from our tour guide Agatha. She was attentive and very knowledgeable about Athens. She was able to answer all our questions. She took great care to make sure that we were able to handle the walking up and back down from the Parthenon. Her knowledge in the New Acropolis Museum was so helpful and informative - we learned so much! After doing tours of 25-50 people, then this private tour - it was SO very much worth the money!

Excellent tour! Can't say enough about how satisfied our entire group of 12 people was with this tour. Driver picked us up at our hotel at 4 pm and guide was smart to have us visit sites throughout the city -- mostly in air conditioned bus -- first so we avoided the crowds and heat at the Acropolis. We still had plenty of time to visit Mars hill and Acropolis. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our group included my 83 year old mother who was worried about the walking, steps, etc but guide was great at stopping at various locations to talk about the history, etc. At the end, we arrived late to the Acropolis Museum so could not go in but our guide quickly rec'd approval to take us by bus to Lykavittos Hill highest hill in Athens just at sunset. What a view! We loved it more than museum! Highly recommend taking this tour late in the day to avoid heat and crowds.

Nothing is as you expect in Greece it seems:
- The tour is advertised as customizable. Seems not. Viator said the only way to customize it is to cancel and book a different tour
- The Panathinaikos Stadium tour isn't a tour. You stop in front. If you want to go in you pay extra and you're on your own
- 'watch the fanciful Evzoni Guards' - you aren't allowed to get off the bus therefore hard to see them behind the crowds from the street
- 'Continue with a pleasant short walk past Herodion and Dionysos Theater'. The theaters are somewhere up on the mountainside. The walk is along a road.
All up, the tour description is extremely colorful. Reality is mostly sitting in the bus driving past sites. Not worth the extravagant description and price.

Great tour to see all in the little time that we had. Our guide was wonderful and made sure that we were taken care of. He had a lot of information on the various places. In the end, we joined him for coffee which was a nice touch.

Our guide, Ruli, was fantastic. She made the tour come alive with stories from both Greek history and mythology. It was a very hot day and she set an appropriate pace, keeping us in the shade as much as possible. At the end, she made sure we were set up at a wonderful Greek restaurant for lunch. All in all, our expectations were far exceeded.
