I would not do this tour again

First, our driver was great. He drove expertly through Athens streets. He was also very friendly. We knew we would get a private car, but were not expecting a taxi. It was comfortable, clean and had plenty of room. We went to the lake first, and when we got there, we found that the entry fee to the lake was 19 euro each. We are not cheap, but 38 euro for a few minutes of picture taking seemed too expensive. After that we went to the temple of Poseiden which we found very interesting and liked a. Lot. After we were done, we went back to the taxi and he asked us if we were ready to go back to the hotel. We said that we chose the option to have lunch (close to $70 more than without). He didn't know anything about it. Didn't know where we were supposed to go or anything. But, being the nice and polite driver he was, he called his place of business and they didn't know anything about it either and said it would cost extra because we were only scheduled so much time with the driver and they would have to charge another 30 minutes or so. Not the drivers fault, but Viator and the company they hired should get all the details. I think we should be reimbursed for the $70 we paid for the lunch we did not get. .

Our driver Dimetri met us on time at our hotel. He was very knowledgeable in Greek history and legend. He was very personable and easy to talk to. The views from the Temple of Poseidon were amazing. On our way back to Athens, we stopped at a waterside restaurant and had a fantastic lunch of fresh seafood

Michael was an excellent guide. His quizzing us allowed us to dig deeper into the history of the area. Beautiful ride out to the site. It was a perfect trip for just off the plane and fighting jet lag.

The drive is along the coast which is beautiful. THe temple was lovely but after the Parthenon not as spectacular. The sunset was lovely but it was cold. I recommend you take a jacket with you, We were there in April and the weather can be cooler than expected.

Unfortunatley, when we got to Cape Sounion the road was closed due the the Olympic Torch expected to pass through. We got a view of the temple, but never got into the grounds. But Andreas was an amazing guy and gave us a great history of Greece today and the ancient times. The drive along the way to get there was very beautiful. Instead, we went to a very nice café on the water and we shared a coffee and stories with Andreas.

This is a long journey 2 hour plus from central Athens which was very enjoyable in a private transfer. The driver was courteous and friendly. The views are stunning and watching the sunset was breathtaking . The driver didn’t rush us and we could take our time at the temple of Poseidon. Bonus was a drop off for an evening meal at a fish bar overlooking the sea. Well worth paying extra for a private transfer I would recommend

Amazing experience! Our driver was superb! He was personable, very nice, and made us feel cared for. The Poseidon sunset was incredible. After the sunset, he brought us to a lovely restaurant by the water and ate delicious food. Beautiful memories! He left a lasting impression.
