Ruins come to life!

At 72, I have seen a lot of ruins. This was different. Theo’s knowledge and pride in his country’s heritage brought everything to life. On top of that, the restaurant he picked for us had really good food, wine, and views. ( I would recommend the dry rose, it’s almost like an orange wine). Though out the entire trip, he made us feel very special. I can highly recommend this tour with Theo. It is a very full day. Some of the terrain was a little difficult, so wear good walking shoes.

Great tour to Delphi

Absolutely fantastic time was picked up on time delivered to the archaeological site. Afterwards was taken to a fantastic restaurant overlooking the valley. Food choices were fantastic and then returned back to the hotel as promised.

Magnificent private tour to Delphi

This tour fit our needs and expectations perfectly. It is truly private, just us in the vehicle. Even though the driver is not officially a tour guide for the Delphi site (and is not advertised as such, anyway) he was very knowledgeable and gave us tons of interesting information and valuable tips for our visit and the area. Lunch was included at a wonderful place in the village. Delicious food with a breathtaking view of the mountains and the valley below. It was worth every penny. We also got a very good impression of the company running these tours. Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

The trip was amazing. Melina was an outstanding guide. She described everything we were going to see at Delphi and gave us in depth knowledge of the various artifacts and their meaning. As we saw the site in real life it made such a great understanding. It was a wonderful day trip and Delphi is just wonderful to visit!

Melina, our driver really made the experience for us. She knew everything about what we were about to see and explained it to us on the way there. Really enhanced our experience once we got. She was on-tme and super friendly and I would absolutely recommend this trip.

Crooked Drivers Don’t Do This Tour!

After one cancellation we were able to rebook this tour for more money but then the day before the Driver—Crispy Local—asked for more money in cash even though drop-off was already arranged. Total crook we wouldn’t get in the car. Now we are trying to get VISA to reverse charge after 3 terrible attempts by Viator Customer service. Do not recommend any private Viator tour in Greece! You’ll be sorry. We saw a similar review and thought it would be okay, but NO!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review because you give us the opportunity to explain what really happened. You booked the tour to Delphi and at the notes you asked to be taken at the end of the tour to the airport. Athens airport is about 1 hour outside of Athens and so 1 hour to return as well. So we tried to contact you and tell you that there will be a small extra charge for this extra service. We contacted you several days before the tour date to give you the opportunity to opt out if you were not willing to pay the extra cost involved without any cost ( full refund). You answered that you have booked with airport drop off. We explained again there in this experience, we do not offer and there is no way to book with airport drop off. There is no such option . We always agree at a later time different drop off. You again insisted that you booked with airport drop off and that you are not going to pay the extra fee. We never agreed nor we arranged to drop you off at the airport. So what you could do as you did not agree at the extra cost and you did not cancel to get the full refund, was to do the tour as it originally planned and booked and then get dropped off at your hotel again. Probably you did not want to pay a taxi for the airport transfer and you tried to include it all to the Delphi tour. You describe private tours in Greece in a very bad manner and your title gives the impression that here in Greece we are “crooked”. This is not a wise gesture, given your current attempt to try and pass the airport transfer cost to us without paying. Nevertheless we will try to explain to all our travelers all aspects of their bookings in order to have a clearer view of what they are entitled. Wish you all the best and we are always here for you to prove that Greece is one of the greatest places to be!

Private comfortable car with pickup and dropoff at hotel, plenty of time to explore ancient Delphi and the museum, a totally delicious lunch overlooking the sea, then a lovely stroll through a picturesque Greek village on the way back to Athens. Really the perfect first day in Greece. Thanks!!
