Very fun. Liked how the guide demonstrated the sound effects by clapping his hand as he walked around and towards the centre of the epidaurus amphitheatre!
Breathtaking views at the corinth canal and mycenae!

We enjoyed the trip and were charmed to see the beauty of the Peleponese. We had only 4 minutes (240 seconds!) to visit the museum at Mycenae, only enough to wish we had longer. The pottery shop visit was lost time which we would have preferred to spend at Mycenae itself.

Corinth canal and Nafplion was the best part for me. Our guide was very informative and helpful. The lunch was good too
Regina_D, Aug 2025
I enjoyed the tour. Additional time was needed at Mycene. 20 minutes does give enough time for pictures and the museum. I could only take pictures.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Dear Regina,
Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear that you need more time in Mycenae but unfortunately this is a shared goup guided tour and we have to follow the advertised time routing.
Warm regards

Nice tour into the campagne of Greece. Our guide was very good in precising historical facts. Even in the free time, she was open to share some interesting local facts for those who were looking for something besides the touristic places.

Very interesting. Our tour guide Nancy was very informative .We saw a lot . My suggestion is to avoid lunch, any place in Nafplio is better and you will get almost 2 hours in that nice town, instead of mediocre lunch in a hotel.

Terrific tour guide. She was a faint of information. Wonderful stops. We loved all the stops and the meal was good.

This was a truly wonderful tour into the Peloponnese region of Greece. I was particularly impressed with the tour guide, Vasiliki, who really brought the sites to life with her astounding knowledge.
The trip was well paced, with enough time at each stop and the travelling was made all the better by the comfort of the mini-bus.

Limited English. Low information. Quick stops. No time to explore sites. Ended w a pottery shop to get a commission from sales. 👎

Wonderful day out starting with the impressive Corinth Canal. Mycenae was so amazing to see in real life and the theatre of Epidaurus was fantastic. Because it was late in the season we were a small group, and the narration was in English only. We stopped for lunch where some people had booked the three course meal (which looked good), we ordered off the a la carte menu and the food was great. Napflio was a lovely city, though we only had time to walk along the seafront and take pictures.

Sights were great, no doubt about that. Otherwise, the trip was not quite enjoyable. First, it's not an English tour! As already indicated in the previous reviews, and I think the tour operator is obliged (!) to indicate beforehand that it's a French-English tour, not an English one! And as the guide was speaking much better French than English, and more or less repeating everything twice in two languages, a lot of time was waisted on listening twice for the same stuff. And I'd say it was really tiresome. Let alone that I would have expected something more interesting and intelligent (!), than phrases like "Athena was a goddess of intelligence; intelligence was very significant". We stopped for lunch at a really rustic place, but the food was so so (really rare to encounter in Greece). And at the end of the tour there was that shameful visit to a souvenir shop, disguised as "ceramic workshop"; basically swindling us into buying some overpriced jewelry or pots. The time we lost there could better be spent on sightseeing in Nafplion. All in all, I'd recommend you to visit all these places on your own, if you can rent a car. Take this tour ONLY if you have no other opportunity for visiting Mycenae and other locations.

Our driver Spiros did a great job, and Jordan the guide was very helpful and we especially enjoyed his stories about the ancient sites we visited. He is very knowledgeable and made the trip very interesting.
Scott_B, Oct 2024
Our guide was fantastic. One of the best we’ve had. Smart, knowledgeable, funny. Great tour. We all had a great time.
Alex_V, Oct 2024
We got to visit Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafpoli which was lovely. The tour was average, a lot of the times we couldn’t hear the guide and the English/French translations made it confusing. What we really didn’t like was the 1 hour stop to Amalia Hotel where we were forced to have lunch. We didn’t opt for lunch as the reviews said they were bad and instead ordered a coffee and juice, which ended up being expensive at 7 and 6 euros. We stayed at Nafplio for 30min where we could have had a lovely lunch by the sea. Overall, the worst tour we had on our trip to Europe
Response from Host, Oct 2024
Dear Alex,
We are thanking your for your review and we are sorry that tour didn't met your expectations.
Guide guide Eleni is very high rated and we are really surprised with your comment regarding the bilingual tour as was very clear written in your voucher that the tour was English & French.
As for Nafplion as per our advertised itinerary we provide stop at the town for 30 min.
Kind regards

excellent tour to tombs and palace with helpful guide and nice views from bus. what more can i say, very happy
Lesley_V, Sep 2024
No aircon on bus - so had to join other group until repaired
Dreadful lunch
History amazing
Guide OK only
Response from Host, Sep 2024
Dear Lesley,
Thank you for your review.
It is true that when you arrived at Mycenae was a damage at the aircond and our company immidiately solve the case as we had another bus at the same place and time.
So we transferred from Mycenae to Nauplia only and then at Epidaurus your bus was repaired and your end the tour with your original bus.
We are glad to read that you had nice time at the tour and your dreadful lunch!
Kind regards
Hara

Seeing the history and myths combined in one is the most memorable element of this trip. Archaeologists' dreams are in front of our own eyes, and they are the genuine gems! Starting with marveling the Corinth canal, followed by the beehive tomb of kings, glories of the past in Mycenae and Epidaurus, the trip truly ensures a fun filled day. Our guide Jordan gave us the survey of the Greek history, and it really helped to enjoy the trip in a historical context. Worth a day!!
Glenn_H, Aug 2024
Our guide Jordan was very good. We had a very nice and informative day. Mycenae and Epidaurus were awesome. The only complaint would be that in retrospect we would have preferred to take our lunch in the town of Nafplion rather than a nearby hotel. The town had numerous lunch options in the very nice waterfront area.
MATTHEW_C, Aug 2024
A great day, seeing some great sight knowledgeable guide. Lunch was ok, although chaotic. Our group didn't fill the coach. If the bus were full travelling so far would have been hard
Perry_D, Aug 2024
Great archeology. The lunch wasn’t good but the sites are world class. Knowledge of guide was very good.
SwamyRamesh_B, Aug 2024
Jordan our guide was amazing! The guy knows a lot of stuff and is very enthusiastic to share. We could see he was passionate to share information. He kept asking us to ask questions. Great guide! Do not get lunch as they drop you off at a nice village with amazingly my views and restaurants. He made sure the A/C was on!!!!
Peter_V, Aug 2024
Despite the hot weather this tour was very good value for a one day event. We got to see some items on our bucket list Mycenae and the Ancient theatre at Epidaurus. The small coach we had was very comfy and the air conditioning worked a treat.
Andy_M, Jul 2024
Great trip that lets you experience some of the oldest and most iconic places from ancient Greece. Even the bus trip was really scenic! Highly recommend!
Courtney_A, Jul 2024
This trip went from Athens to Mycenae first (where we saw the Treasury of Atreus followed by the palace), then to lunch, then stopped in Nafplio, and then finished up at Epidaurus before returning to Athens.
Mycenae and Epidaurus are fascinating archaeological sites. I booked this trip mainly for Mycenae, but I think I ended up enjoying Epidaurus even more. The theatre is impressive, of course, but the Sanctuary of Asclepius is also well worth seeing.
Our guide was just okay. She was knowledgeable but sometimes took a sarcastic tone (not sure why), and she laughed after everything she said whether or not it was funny. After a while, I found it annoying.
Most of the people in our group opted for lunch on their own. Those of us who did the group lunch were taken to a hotel restaurant near Nafplio. The menu consisted of an appetizer of cheese pie, a salad, and a main course of some kind of beef with vegetables. I'm vegetarian, so I figured I would just make do with the appetizer and the salad, but the restaurant staff very kindly prepared a vegetarian pasta for me. Dessert was chocolate cake with ice-cream. (It was a HUGE lunch.) The food was good and served in a pleasant environment.
After lunch, we went to Nafplio to pick up the people who had been dropped off to have lunch on their own. Our guide pointed out some of the sites, which was interesting but only took about five minutes. We were then given 40 minutes on our own in Nafplio to "take photos." I don't really understand the point of this long hiatus, especially given that it was 100 degrees outside and not pleasant weather for randomly strolling around. I got an iced tea and bought a couple of hand painted magnets.
I appreciated that regular bathroom stops were built into the trip. I once spent the majority of a 3.5 hour drive from Delphi to Athens in desperate need of a bathroom break, and I was very glad to not have to repeat that experience!
Overall, I feel that the trip merits five stars because it is an economical, convenient, and mostly efficient way to see some impressive and important historical sites that should not be missed. I recommend it.

Fortini was terrific guide and provided interesting background history and was very knowledgable and able to answer all our questions. The driver was very cautious and smooth. We had a great time and also enjoyed the lunch at Hotel Amalia.
Jessica_B, Jul 2024
Good tour! It did exactly what I wanted. I met the tour at the departure hotel with no problem. I opted out of the included lunch, and had a Greek salad at the restaurant stop instead.
Petya_I, Jul 2024
The trip was very interesting and the guide told a lot about the history of the place. She was speaking both English and French. But it was a little bit tiresome to here the whole story twice.
Anonymous, Jul 2024
Tour was good as sites are extraordinary. Lunch was disappointing. Poor service, main corse of dry meat paddies and over the top mustard sauce on potatoes.
Booked an english speaking tour but guide spoke mostly French with English sparingly as an after thought.

Our guide, Thomas, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the trip and his energy was contagious. First stop was a food/ WC stop at the Corinth canal. Sodas cost twice what they did at a grocery store in town but the WC was clean and the 20 minutes allotted was perfect.
The theatre at epidouras is a must see, but so is the sanctuary of Asclepius. No way can you see both in 1 hour. Nafplio is a beautiful town but a 30 minute stop in the harbor is a waste of time. Mycenea was also spectacular and the attached museum was wonderful for both the artifacts and the relief from the outdoor heat.
Lunch was optional, meaning you could prepay for a fixed menu or go on your own. I chose the latter but there were no other options where the bus parked. You had 1 hour at the same restaurant as everyone else. I had the lamb and it was dry and tasteless. The staff were about as happy to see us as I was to be there with no other choices. Best part of the meal were the 6 cherries we were given as complimentary dessert. The subsequent 30-45 minutes in the ceramic shop was, for me, more wasted time. My suggestion, if you have the time, is to go on your own (self drive or private tour) and consider staying in Nafplio, and then continuing on to Delphi, on your own.
Philippe_R, Jun 2024
Lions gate, royal tombs and Epidaurus theater were the unforgettable hotspots.
Lunch at Amilia hotel was too heavy.
The guide was excellent with very strong knowledge and clear explanations. Maybe a few breaks in her descriptions would help digest information.
John_P, May 2024
Mycanae was great. The guide was informative and there was enough time to see the site. Epidaurus was disappointing. The amphitheatre was great but we did not see any of the other ruins. We wasted time at a pottery shop and a side trip to napflio instead.
