Stavros is an excellent guide as he told us so much about the current and past Greek history and culture as well as mythology. I really appreciate it the tour and would highly recommend it!!!

If you are looking to get out of Athens for the day this is a good option. It may not be for the younger travelers as we did spend a good bit of time in the bus and outside in the heat. The guide was very informative, sometimes more than we wanted to know about current politics but the Greek mythology is interesting .

This was a great experience! A great, fun, knowledgeable guide and really wonderful tour for the price. Highly recommended!
Roger_W, Aug 2024
The tour was well-organised with bus departure and arrival times kept to. The tour guide had an impressive command of Greek history and culture, which provided very useful context while visiting the museums and sites. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide, Vicky, was amazing! She told us about all major cities along the way, major stops in Istanbul, Greek mythology and history. When there was down time, she taught us Greek words and recommended dishes to try. The site was amazing, she had a schedule for us to follow, but was okay if we were a little late returning to things because we were doing our own thing. She honestly made our trip amazing!
Wenge_N, Jul 2024
The audio system was very bad, we could hardly understand what the tutor guide. We had to skip our lunch and went back to the museum to go over ourself.
Response from Host, Jul 2024
Dear Wenge,
The tour starts from the archaelogical site and ends at the museum and lunch free time is 14:30-15:30 so we really don't understand what do you mean "We had to skip our lunch and went back to the museum to go over ourself "
Please advise to investigate your complain.
Kind regards
Hara

Nice trip. Good host. good countryside experience and views. The guide was good with explanations. Watch out for the season - was hot when we went
Vinayak_P, May 2024
Excellent location and great guide. The quaint towns on the way were also pretty. We had lunch in the town.

The guide gave a brief 2 minute speech at beginning and was silent for the two hour ride to site! (Would’ve been a great time to tell about the people and land of Greece.)He was knowledgeable, about the site but lifelessly boring, impersonal and aloof! He was often on his phone when walking from place to place and unavailable at stops or free time!

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of Greek history and Delphi. He added some humor too which made the trip enjoyable. He was very caring about the needs of the guests. My recommendation is to start the trip at 8 am rather than 8:30. The total trip time was 10.5 hours, 6 hours were on the bus.
Keith_B, Sep 2023
The guide was extremely knowledgable on Greek history. She was very well organised with a large group of tourists.
I would recommend the tour.
Nicholas_H, Jul 2023
The trip itself was magnificent and I could not imagine the tour with our guide (I forgot her name! I’m so sorry!), she knew everything about the history of Greece, which for me was the best part. On the bus ride there she told us amazing historical facts that I was not even aware of (and I’ve read a bunch of books, including all of Herodotus’ histories) regarding the Battle of Marathon, the Pelopponesian Wars, the Battle of Thermopylae as well as the mythology and etymology of a lot of the words . . . Her knowledge was impeccable!! Not only that, but my dumbass left my sketchbook at the rest stop (my responsibility) and she was amazingly kind enough to stop on the way back, she did not have to do that, and I am eternally grateful. Like I said I could not imagine our trip without her . . . So amazing . . .

I was disappointed with this tour. I booked a guided tour in English, but the guide was speaking in both English and French. I found this frustrating as 50% of what was being said was meaningless to me and it slowed down the tour. I did not stick with the guide for the museum. I choose the option without lunch, the town was nice to explore and had plenty of lunch options.
CYNDA_M, Jun 2023
Hearing such a thorough history and applying learned info to the actual ruins - followed up by the guided museum tour made it a valuable, memorable, worthwhile tour.
Glenn_B, Jun 2023
The scenery was stunning, and the guide was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about the region

It was an enjoyable and informative day!
Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. I wish that there was better organization in the morning. We left Athens about a half hour late, cutting back on our time in Delphi.
Elizabeth_M, May 2023
We loved our tour of Delphi and our guide, Rikki. We wished for a little more time in the museum, but we learned so much history from this experienced, educated guide.
Laura_J, May 2023
The guide was outstanding. Very beautiful scenery. Trip was a little bit long. Traffic in Athens was bad.
Colin_L, May 2023
Our guide - “Vikki “ was the best we’ve had - knowledgeable and humorous. Excellent English. Five stars.
Diana_V, May 2023
The guide was wonderful in giving information about the route we took, the Delphi ruins, and the museum. The ruins a b d the history thete is amazing
Johan_L, Apr 2023
Tour would have needed another hour. Didn't really feel like you got the full experience. For me a trip solo without a guide would have been better. The guide was good and all but just not long enough.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Dear Johan,
Thank you for your review .
We reed that the guide was good but didn't met your expectations.
Unfortunatelly there are time limits for a full day tour and we have to follow the law for the driving hours.

The foul continuous gutteral coughing of passengers without masks as well as selfish people putting their seat in a lay position.
Avery guide guide and driver , multi stops and admin delays and no reminders to passengers to consider others.
Overall interesting place but ever again with a forgetful/ backward organisation that hasn’t heard of Covid.
Awadesh_V, Jan 2023
Effi, the tour guide, made the tour very interesting. Her knowledge about the site and ancient greek civilisation helped us in making sense of the Delphi site and the museum.
Marko_K, Nov 2022
The guide was great! Everything was on time. The tour was very informative. No surprises, all good :)
William_B, Oct 2022
The guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. She made the ruins come to life. The tours was well managed.

A beautiful Greek day
A great coach driver and quide which made the journey pleasant.
Delphi is a must for Greek history lovers.
Wear comfortable shoes and have a drink handy if it is hot.
Very steep walk to the stadium at the top of the site but it is well worth it especially for the views.
Watch out for wild flowers and butterflies too and be careful taking pics as the site is rough and steep.

The good:
Delphi is a very beautiful and histloric location and well worth seeing.
The ruins sites are amazing and the museum is excellent.
The guide was very experienced and knowledgeable.
The challenge:
It is nearly impossible to heard 50 people efficiently through these areas.
The bus did not have a restroom, necessitating multiple restroom stops in what was already a long road trip.)
The bad:
The trip is a very long day: It was 11.5 hours from the requested meeting time (8:30am) to the last return point where we started (8:00 pm)
What made this even longer was an arguement between the tour gude (Effie) and one of the participants. It was just before 7pm and the passenger asked 2 questons: 1. What was the approximate time of arrival in Athens and 2: What would be the drop off order to the hotels. In response, Effie got very agitated and said she was not a magician and could not predict the exact arrival time or order of drop off. This loud argument in the aisles lasted several minutes. At one point Effie said the questioner would just have to wait. The questioner at all times was polite. After finally making an announcement to all which partially answered these basic questions, I overheard a comment from." Effie seemingly trying to justify her actions saying "Look at my ratings: I get 5 out of 5 stars. Her rude and demeaning responses in this situation brought her from a 5-Star to a 1-Star in my opinion.
Recommendations:
If you do take this tour, go rogue. Use it as a means to get there and back. Take Rick Steves' Greece book, and follow his very well laid out walking tours of both the ruins and the museum. (We were able to see all the rooms of the museum at our pace, while Effie and the group were less than a half the way through. We doubled back to listen to her explanations which were fine, but the group skipped many of the rooms due to inefficient timing and missed many significant points that Rick Steves made). Do not take the lunch option (it was medeocre without a view because the curtains were closed due to the sun), but explore the villiage instead and find better food options there.
Sabrina_H, Oct 2022
To be honest the drive there was relaxing once you get out of the traffic. The little town once we got there was awesome and so were the souvenir shops and local eateries. I highly recommend this tour. Prepare to walk.
Halina_M, Aug 2022
It was not mentioned on this that the tour is given in both english and french, one after another. It got quite confusing tuning in and out of the relevant language to get minimal information about this incredible site. We essentially paid for them to drive us back and forth because the tour guide, Nancy, was not very knowledgable on the site beyond what you can read online. She also popped an attitude whenever questions were asked, and admitted herself that she didn't know anything beyond the limited information she gave. The little speaker things kept bugging out and playing the most painful noises very loudly if you moved the wrong way.
We enjoyed visiting this beautiful site, but the pleasure was due to the location, not necessarily the tour we booked.
ROSARIO_M, Aug 2022
We bought tickets to the entrance when we arrived. But the guide begun the tour, she didn't wait for us. We were more than 7 persons and we arrived 20mn late and we missed this part of the tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Dear clients,
As you had paid transportation option only , you had to purchase your tickets waiting in the line.
The Delphi staff don;t permit to the guides to wait at the cashier so we must go in the site and as you said 7 persons arrived 20 min later therefore the guide starts speaking as all of you had headsets and you hear her.
Hope enjoyed your tour even with 2 stars review due of the tickets.
Thank you
