Private tour was not what we expected

We spent about the first 40 minutes of the tour listening to the guide give a full history of Athens, while this maybe ok for some people we would have preferred to have spent this time seeing historical sites while learning of its relevance to the Athens history. I thought the price was very expensive considering the nature of the private tour. Hop on hop off bus tour may have been a better choice for significantly less price.

Thank you for your review! We will try to become better! George is an awarded driver guide. We follow the itinerary and there wasn’t any chance to miss something! We give priority to history, but possibly you needed more fun and pictures! About the price was very competitive having a private guide with a W214 Mercedes E class model 2024! Maybe hop on hop off was an unfair comment for our standards

We signed up for this tour very last minute as we were flying in in the morning and had a few hours to spare before departing for our cruise later in the afternoon. Me and my wife had a solid time with Manos. He picked us up promptly at the airport and showed us a few of the historical sites. What we really appreciated was the flexibility of the tour. Hungry after the flight? Manos waited for us to grab some food. Wanted to explore a neat part of town? Manos dropped us off and stayed nearby for when we were finished. When we didnt know what to do, he showed us a few historical sites, museums and a beautiful overlook of Athens. It was just a great flexible tour. Thanks Manos. He also spent closer to 5 hours with us [including driving] and never surcharged us for it. It did cost an extra 40 eur to pick us up from airport though.

Giorgos was an excellent tour guide. He is a local. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and fun. Highly recommend him. The best ‘surprising” stop was the library where we had 360 degree views of the city!

Great way to see Athens

We really enjoyed our private tour around Athens with your Giorgos. The fact that it was private and customizable made it way more enjoyable for us as we had one on one time with him learning about the culture of the city in a lot of different areas. We decided to spend a little bit more time and do an audio guided tour at the Acropolis and were able to work that into our agenda with him. He is very personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and really seemed to enjoy what he was doing. This was our first full day in Athens and we really got a good insight to a lot of different areas around the city. We would definitely recommend this tour and especially Giogos , for anyone wanting to be able to see a lot of different areas of Athens yet still be able to customize it to what works for you!

Got to see a lot in 4 hours by having a private car. Driver was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Spoke very good English. Sites were amazing. Remember to download any online tickets in advance as you may not have Internet at the sites.

Excellent driver and guide for a fabulous tour of Athens

This excursion was much more than we expected. Our guide and driver was very informative and friendly. The tour stops provided a varied type of places that made our first trip to Athens very special. We did get to the very famous spots but also others that you wouldn't normally visit but should. Our guide was very flexible with the schedule and never rushed us. If we required more time to explore a certain spot it was encouraged to take as many photos and take our time. The vehicle was very clean and the ride was very smooth. Water was provided and washroom breaks were also scheduled. We would highly recommend this tour.
