In case you stay in a hotel in the center the easiest way with the least risk of misunderstandings is to pick you up at your hotel. So please always indicate in which hotel you are staying. I pick up guests from all hotels in and around the center of Amsterdam, including ones not listed above here. I provide pick up service at the most common docking locations of cruiseships as well. Most sea Cruiseships do dock at the PTA, most river cruiseships at either De Ruyterkade Oost or De Ruyterkade west. In case you would like to be picked up somewhere else please indicate as well. In case you are not in a hotel in the center and don't have any suggestions where to be picked up from, i will suggest a couple of locations to meet.
Itinerary
Kick off your private rickshaw tour at your Amsterdam accommodation, where you greet your guide and climb aboard your rickshaw in either the morning or afternoon. Begin by traveling along the 17th-century Amsterdam Canal Ring, declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Traverse picturesque bridges, pass important intersections, and proceed to Museumplein, home to three of the Netherlands’ most important museums: Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art.
Then, see the famous wooden drawbridge Magere Brug, and the scenic Reguliersgracht section of the canal ring.
Your tour concludes with drop-off back at your Amsterdam accommodation, or another location of your choice.

Our tour guide/driver Jan was waiting for us when we arrived a few minutes early at the meeting point that we had agreed upon via e-mail communication because our hotel was too far outside the city center. When we uttered our wish to see the places where my mother used to live in her youth (she‘s 85 years now and left Amsterdam 65 years ago but has fond memories living there with her siblings), he was extremely accommodating and took us right in front of all the houses instead of insisting on the planned tour. He went above and beyond our expectations. At the end of the tour which took longer than what we had paid for, he was also kind enough to drop us off next to a public transport station which was accessible for my mother who can‘t walk stairs anymore. If we had done the originally planned tour, I’m not sure we would have enjoyed ourselves so much, because his explanations while pedaling in the front were hard to understand for us sitting in the back, but in the end we had a memorable tour that was worth every cent and that I would recommend to anyone with individual wishes and/or with a walking impairment that makes getting around by walking or riding a bike difficult.

What a great first thing to do. Marco our guide knew everything and more about Amsterdam’s history. We took a 90 min trip but recommend if you take 2 hrs you’ll have enough time to go through the park as well. Highly recommend especially if walking long distances is challenging. As long as you can take one small step into rickshaw you’ll manage this trip.

A guided rickshaw tour is the way to see Amsterdam. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. He provided a very detailed history of Amsterdam. 1.5 hours was just right length for one trip. Another or follow on tour would be welcome. I would definitely do that!!

Amsterdam's old town is mainly narrow and very busy roads, so we opted for the Rickshaw tour with Jost. We were so glad we did as we covered quite a bit of ground and got an entertaining commentary along with it. a good way to get a feel for where various sites are and how close or far apart they are.

We landed in Amsterdam at about noon and thought a Rickshaw ride would be a great start to see the city. Jan was great.....shortly after we landed he called with a weather update. Wanted us to delay the ride because storms were coming. We agreed to a two hour delay. Jan called back again with a weather update and wanted us to Starr earlier. It was great. He picked us up and the weather held out for the whole tour. He gave us the best introduction to Amsterdam one could ask for. Very knowledgeable and a superb tour guide. Would recommend this is the best way to start off a visit to Amsterdam. Jan deserves five stars!

We enjoyed a wonderful 2 1/2 Rickshaw Tour with Jan's Fietstaxi. Jan was so friendly and informative. After seeing the highlights of Amsterdam, Jan asked us what we were interested in and he went out of his way to expand on our interests. He brought us to the National Holocaust Memorial Museum where we toured the building while he explained what it was like for the Jewish people living in Amsterdam and their fate. It was very sad, but we were glad we went. This was a wonderful way to see Amsterdam and we were fortunate to have Jan as our guide. Excellent tour, excellent guide. Thank you Jan.
