I picked this canal cruise because it had headsets rather than a person talking. Easier for my elderly mother to hear. But the commentary on the headsets didn't give that much information. But the canal cruise was quite nice. The snack box was okay. We did get to choose a wine and the wine was delicious! It was worth the $15.
Lovely trip, chilled and relaxed whilst taking in all the sites.
Lovely spacious boat, clean and an excellent driver
Excellent tour with just the right amount of information. Our guide (Clair) was fun, knowledgeable and efficient. We learned a lot about Amsterdam and was an ideal way too begin our stay.

Okay 75min cruise along the canals. Picked this one as my wife was using a wheelchair.This made the trip accessible with a lift which was great, Staff were fantastic and very welcoming. However, seating was uncomfortable and cramped. No snack box and drink provided either. A little disappointed overall

We did this trip in February. Was a cold day but boat was lovely and warm. Was an interesting trip and good to see Amsterdam from the river. Good value. Would recommend.
Recorded guide but our boat captain pointed out some things as well.

Excellent and good value activity - must do for a first visit. We did this trip as a family of 4 with two teenagers (13, 17), who thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt loads. We specifically chose this trip for the wide range of sights and areas visited, and it did not disappoint. The audio guide was clear and easy to understand, with lots of breaks in the narration to chat. You could buy a takeaway coffee and stroopwaffel beforehand to take on board.
Wonderful experience. I’ve never seen a 4way traffic jam in A canal before but the driver managed the boat extremely well
Boat ride was fine and the audio was good. We had a cold, rainy day so the cover was great. It wasn't crowded probably due to the weather.
It's okay to get to pass through the canals and know the locations of certain places. Not what I expected
Was a very nice experience. You can buy snacks to take with you. Very informative and did not talk the entire so you could enjoy the sights.
It was okay. The commentary and head phones didn’t work. So we had no idea where we were in Amsterdam.

Enjoyable trip, Captain Christopher informative . Good value for the price. Very warm. Recommended. Needed to stand up and stick camera out of the sun roof to get best picture results
It was a good experience to see the city by canal. The audio needs to be updated and more on the architecture of the city.
The right was comfortable and the tour was informative. The tour itself I would do again. The older gentleman collecting the tickets was not particularly friendly or nice. I think this was the first time ever and 30 some odd tours that I didn’t tip the tour guide.
We did two canal boat tours in Amsterdam. This one and one that was open air with a live guide. We preferred the open air tour with the live guide. But this tour was still great. Clean boat, left on time, friendly staff.
Was ok. If I did a tour again in a boat I’d pick a smaller boat with a more personalised approach rather than listening to a pre recorded commentary.
We also purchased tour with snack box but we didn’t get a snack box so we basically had a standard package but we could have got standard tickets for a lot less than we were charged by viator
Enjoyable cruise. It would have been helpful if they provided instructions on how the headsets worked. We figured it out eventually. Think I would have preferred a cruise with a person talking rather than an audio.
Cramped seating. An obviously unwell 11/12 year old sitting directly opposite me soured the trip for me. (I still have 5 weeks of travelling ahead of me).
Perfect weather enhanced viewing. Poor synchronisation between commentary and attractions. Captain added additional info useful.
Relaxed and interacting. Friendly captain. Headphones for audio guide included and easy to use. The best way to see beautiful Amsterdam is via the canal !

Bait and switch. extorted another $40 dollars to take boat instead of making it part of the package and just drove around and didn’t provide any tour guide explanation at each location but left people to their own devices to buy cheese. It’s. big Henri Willig Cheese advertisement. Other than that, the locations were tourist traps but cute little towns.

Very kid friendly, my 6 yr old loved the bust kit and the collapsible binoculars will be useful for other activities on our vacation. It was occasionally difficult to figure out which buildings the audio tour was referring to in the tour. Boat captain was easy to understand and engaging. The snack kit was a nice add on for our family, but not cheese as I had understood from the description somehow.

If you just want to ride a boat through the canals of Amsterdam, this is probably ok (and may be the most cost effective option). But if you are looking for real information about what you are seeing, try a tour with a live guide. This one has an audio track that is not so great and a lot of times it is even difficult to figure our which building/landmark they are talking about.
