Francesca Deserves a Gold Medal

Absolutely lovely day trip! Our guide, Francesca was kind, organized, and knowledgeable, and provided a wonderful tour for us. I know our group was probably a little bit of a difficult one so I appreciated her dedicated commitment to us and to keeping us on time so we could all enjoy our tour! She’s seriously the best! My ONLY suggestion would be for the touring company to upgrade the headsets for the Pompeii tour. It was extremely difficult for us to hear the Pompeii archaeological tour with the provided Whisper Headsets, and it was frustrating knowing that I had specifically chosen a tour with a guide rather than an audio tour so I could learn more, and ended up not being able to hear through the headset at all. Luckily my tour guide was very kind and spoke loudly enough for us to hear, but we were a larger group and had to squeeze together to do so. Still a five star tour!!

A very nice day!

The walk to Civita was strenuous. The guide warned the group in advance, and that was very much appreciated. Paula, our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and was very informative. The stop at Montepulciano was very nice as well as the lunch and wine tasting. Pienze was also nice, but not as much to do. Overall, a very enjoyable day and experience.

Pisa and Florence in a Day…maybe a bit too much!!

This excursion involves a long car ride. Two and a half hour to Pisa and then another hour to Florence. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a sight to see. Also while in Pisa you will see The Baptistery and the Cathedral. It was not stated any where in the tour information that, like the Vatican, your knees and shoulder must be covered. We had worn tank tops and shorts because the weather was very warm, so we had to go to the gift shop and buy scarves!!! After our visit to Pisa, our driver drove us to Florence. We had a lovely lunch in Florence, visited Michelangelo’s David, which was absolutely breathtaking, saw another cathedral and baptistery, went to the Florence’s village square, walked over the Ponte Vecchio. Our final destination was the Piazzale Michelangelo where you can admire the entire city of Florence below. Fantastic picture opportunity!! Our guides, Rikishi (Pisa) and Angelica (Florence) were extremely knowledgeable and share a plethora of fun facts and interesting stories. If you are a person who becomes car sick easily, you may want to avoid this tour. Due to the distance, our driver, Pablo, drove very aggressive, causing many quick stops and starts. From what we have experienced, no different than any other Italian driver except for the distance was far greater. Our only disappointment was we would have liked to have had an hour or so to shop in Florence. Overall, a very good, loooong day!!

Wonderful Vatican Tour with Amazing Guides!

We had a wonderful Vatican tour! Tamara and Deanna were both incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. They shared so much fascinating information and made everything easy to understand and appreciate. If you’re visiting Rome and planning a tour of the Vatican, I highly recommend them. A great experience and a fantastic way to see and learn about the Vatican!

Great experience, great views 10/10 recommend

Travelled to montepulchiano and pienza, we stopped at a local vineyard for wine tasting with a 3 course meal (lots of cheese/salami, home made pasta, and dessert). The wine was delicious and the fresh pasta even better. The staff at the vineyard were welcoming and very sweet. Our tour guide Kiara was fantastic. This trip to Tuscany with the views was well worth the full day experience. 10/10 would recommend!! Grazie Kiara and the full staff that were there alone the way today.

Our excursion to the...

Our excursion to the Vatican was wonderful. There were any other groups there and it got a little congested, but our guide would find an open space and hurry us to it. She was great. Every excursion we book through Viator during our European vacation was excellent. We even booked a couple for the next day and a representative was easy to find with our tickets and escorted us to the skip the line entrance. We never had to stand in a long line. Some were with a guide and for others we were on our own. We will definitely continue to use Viator for any of our vacations.

Excellent! Highlight of trip

What an extraordinary experience we won’t forget!! We opted for the 6:30am tour with Marco and Andi who excelled drivers and guides. The early morning ride allowed us to see Rome before the throngs of tourists were afoot. Well worth getting up for early in the morning. Marco is an expert on Rome history. He was able to answer all our questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our guide was from Rome and e remedy knowledgeable. He made the information really interesting even though he says it over and over. His perspective on history was quite refreshing. He was easy to understand and personable. We spent the exact right amount of time in each location. Small groups are the best. In larger groups you wait too long for people to use the bathroom and climb stairs!

Great Stories, Great Guide, Great Time

We had a great time on this tour. There wasn’t as much walking as we expected, which made it very enjoyable. The stories were fascinating and really brought the history to life. Rob was an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. We shared a lot of laughs throughout the tour and learned a lot of history of the city. Highly recommend this experience!

FULL DAY of great touring

Great guides! I can't recall their names but both guides were extremely educational, knowledgeable, entertaining, and just a great experience overall. It was a bit challenging getting from one tour to the next, and trying to eat lunch as well, but we made it, with 10 minutes to spare.
