What are people saying about Reykjavik

Worth every penny!
I traveled to Iceland with my brother and his family. There were six of us in total. We booked this food walking tour and are so glad we did! Jenny was an excellent guide through five restaurants and eight courses. My favorite was the slow-cooked cod with noisette hollandaise sauce, almonds, and smoked lamb pieces on top - sampled at Matarkjallarinn. We also got Icelandic hot dogs at the best hot dog stand in Reykyavik. We were all brave (including my 11-year old niece) at trying the fermented shark on our third stop - it smells like ammonia, but the experience was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, perhaps because we (the adults) chased the shark with a shot of Brennivín! We also loved the rye bread ice cream at Loki, which offered stunning views of Hallgrímskirkja church. 10/10

Golden circle tour
Having a tour guide explain the Icelandic history was worth every penny of this tour. He talked the full tour about scenic areas we would pass, about ancient history and information about the current Icelandic happenings. I was going to drive this myself, but doing so would have been difficult finding parking at the more popular spots. I’m glad we chose this tour. They picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at the hotel at the end. Best money spent in Iceland for 6.5 hours.

Our guide and the tour - both were out of this world
Lasma was the perfect tour driver/guide. She was fun, spoke to us to tell us fun and important details about what we were seeing and how and when to return to the bus (she was really clear!) and was very relateable too. We learned firsthand about the geologic history of Iceland because of her and what we saw. My whole family of four discerning adults thought she was fantastic. The tour itself was long but worth every minute: Diamond Beach and Glacial Lagoon were unforgettable! The waterfalls and glaciers were awe-inspiring. We're never going to forget the sights and total experience. The bus was comfortable and warm and we had plenty of opportunities for refreshments and pit stops.

Best Experience with the Best Tour Guide, Sindri
Alex from Jersey, USA here! First time ever in Iceland with my brother and this experience was more than we could’ve asked for and Sindri, our tour guide, made it all worth while. He was funny, interactive, and clearly still in love with his culture. The experience came to life with his eloquent explanations and personal experiences with Icelands most beautiful sites. We even had some time at the end of the trip so he asked us if we would like to pull over to see the Northern lights that he saw while driving. It was clear that he was determined to make the experience as memorable as possible and I wish the best for him and his family. I hope you get to experience Iceland with Sindri like we did! Thanks for everything!
