What are people saying about Mexico

Good Tour
This was a great tour and I highly recommend it. The bus was very comfortable and had a clean bathroom. The tour guides were very informative and spoke both English and Spanish. We really enjoyed seeing Chichen-Itza and all the smaller temples in the area. Getting to the site early is key as there were no huge crowds yet (granted we went in the October off-season). Be careful of the vendors as they lie about prices to get your attention and then when you try to buy something they tell you the real inflated price. For example the vendor said something cost $1 and then when we went to buy it he said it was $20. So we just walked away. The cenote was great as well. They gave you plenty of time to swim and they had lockers and rooms to change in. I also liked that they had outdoor showers to rinse off in. The buffet was very good as well, though they do charge you for soda and alcoholic drinks. The village we visited at the end was ok. There isn't much to do there so I felt that part of the tour was unnecessary. My only negative comment was that during the Chichen-Itza portion while walking to the temple an older woman in our group was having issues walking/breathing (the walk isn't strenuous or long but it can be tough for older people with health issues). We helped her and then told the guide about her issue when we got to the temple. He didn't seem to care and simply said "elderly people should understand the requirements for tour they are on". I thought that was harsh as we expect guides be on the lookout for vulnerable guests.

Great experience for solo travel
I came on this trip solo, some stuff to note, you will need to be up early and it is cold in the morning so prepare for that. From the time we got picked up to the destination of launch, it was about 3 hours to fly. This might not be the case for everyone, but it was for us and it was due to the conditions of the weather. There was a lot of cloudiness so if we went any earlier that 7:30 am, we would have not seen anything like those who went before us. The pilot made sure conditions were safe and we saw the sky clear perfectly to see the pyramids. Landing was easy and we made it to brunch around 9 am. Brunch was in a nice cave and had accommodation for those with certain allergies (but still check before hand if you have some serious allergies). We then went to a small town nearby for a lesson in pulque and local artistry. Lastly we got to see the sun and moon pyramids. We arrived back around 2 pm, so this is almost an all day tour. All in all, it was a great tour, staff was great and the experience is one of a kind. Would recommend to anyone who is coming in for the first time and possibly solo.

Nice Day at the Beach
Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! We also parasailed and jet skied which was extra. Ray was an excellent waiter. Only negative: I could not reserve a table on Viator, but tables were reserved when we arrived. I was in a party of six women, and we had to move an umbrella ourselves to put two tables together. The umbrellas have heavy cement bases, and we watched the staff move an umbrella for another party after telling us they could not be moved. This person was not our waiter. If you want to have a great time on the beach, Mr Sanchos has you covered. Service inconveniences didn’t stop our fun, but Mr Sanchos management probably should address these issues. You might call ahead to see if they can hold a table if you’re in a large group. Lastly, it will cost you $20/person roundtrip to be packed in a 15 passenger van to get to Mr Sanchos, so I wouldn’t opt to be grouped with other people. Enjoy!

Every event on the...
Every event on the itinerary occured on-time and the staff was very friendly. Our tour guide was Gala and she was so sweet and made sure no one was left behind. Water, coffee, and cookies were provided. I got the chilaquiles with beef for breakfast and it was phenomenal. Hands down the best chilaquiles I've ever had. We spent about 1.5 hours at the pyramids and that was $12 USD extra. Being able to climb one of the pyramids made it worth it. I would have liked our balloon to go a lot higher - some people were way up there and ours was closer to the ground majority of the time. Other than that it was a great experience and I'd do it again.

Mexico is a tapestry of climates, cultures, and histories. Engage with Mesoamerica’s history by exploring one of the country’s many world-class ancient ruins, from Chichen Itza to Teotihuacan, or dig into the food scenes of Mexico City, Merida, or Mazatlan on tours that highlight regional delicacies. Plenty of Mexico tours are made for revelers, such as yacht rides and beach club experiences, while others are tailored to those interested in local culture. The options are as diverse as the country itself.
