Appian Way, Aqueducts, and Catacombs excellent tour
Julia our guide was a local Roman who knew the catacombs, Appian Way and mausoleum history as well as church history very well. Julia was open to questions and made the tour fun and informative. Julia was very knowledgeable about the Roman aqueduct engineering, number of aqueducts serving Rome how springs were selected, very impressive. We walked a small portion of the Appian Way which made us think how commerce arrived to Rome, military could move quickly, and of course crucifiction of thousands of Spartacus allegiants during the Slave Revolt. The catacombs and church above funded by Cardinal Borghese was equally impressive, and had an excellent guide from the Church. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

Spook + History
Such a fun way to kick off our first night in Rome! The guide, Arielle, was a fantastic story teller and so knowledgeable. The tour was a great combo of spook and city history. We got a little lost on our way to the tour, and she kindly caught us up once we connected with the group. Definitely suggest leaving WAY before you think you need to in Rome, just for everything.

One of my highlights
Myself and my fiancée loved this! We made the booking at the last minute whilst waiting for our flight and we are so glad that we did. We were greeted by Karen and informed that we were the only ones on this tour which was a really positive surprise for us, normally tours cancel if the experience is not filled! Karen was a great storyteller and took us on an enjoyable walking tour across some locations and had either an interesting piece of history or horror to divulge, but all of it linking to each other! This experience is great for those who love history, walking, and morbid tales of the dead. It was one of two major highlights of the trip for us and we would love to do it again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Ghost Tour with Maham!
Our guide Maham was fantastic! She brought Rome's dark history to life with captivating storytelling. Walking through Castel Sant'Angelo and across Ponte Sant'Angelo at night was genuinely spine-tingling. Maham perfectly balanced spooky stories with historical facts, and the interactive elements made it engaging throughout. The 8:30 PM start was perfect for atmospheric darkness. Whether you're a skeptic or believer, this tour shows you a completely different side of Rome. Highly recommend - and ask for Maham as your guide!

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Many daytime tours cover Rome’s history, but the after-dark options can bring a different perspective to familiar landmarks. Rome ghost tours showcase the city’s macabre history, with stories of murders, witch trials, and unexplained mysteries. Knowledgeable guides blend verified historical accounts with local folklore as you walk. As a bonus, Rome typically cools off at night, so these tours are a good option if you’re looking to escape the heat.
