Antonio is an amazing guide. It was an unseasonably cold night but his interesting stories more than made up for the cold and windy weather. Antonio is an amazing guide. It was an unseasonably cold night but his interesting stories more than made up for the cold and windy weather. If you are in Rome and looking for an evening walking tour with history and stories, I highly recommend Antonio from Carepe diem tours. You won’t be disappointed.

We started the tour off after a very silly mistake on our part, whereby we went to the end point first. After a mad dash through the streets of Rome, and lots of communication from the company who organise the tours, we managed to reach the group at the second stop of the night.
We were welcomed straight in and Maham, our guide, did not miss a beat after welcoming us into the fold.
My group and I loved the tour, and Maham was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide, delivering anecdotes with the perfect amount humour or gravitas depending on what was required. It was interesting and enlightening, and my friends spent the rest of the visit reflecting on places or stories as we'd done this walk on the first night.
This was my third visit (but not final) to the Eternal City and I will wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone asking for suggestions on a trip of their own. I would also suggest that you book the tour for your first night as it will give you ideas for smaller sights to see that are off the mainstream tourist itineraries.

Antonio was great! Very entertaining and knowledgable about all the different locations and dark ghost stories of the past! He Answered all our questions and if he didnt know them he looked them up and had the answer for us right away! So much fun! Highly reccommend this tour!

Could easily have been improved with a bit more enthusiasm.
The tour was advertised as two hours but went for less than one and a half hours. There were two rather long toilet stops and we finished fifteen minutes early.

This is a great historical tour that won’t break the bank. Wasn’t super spooky per se, but more darker side history lessons. The guide (have forgotten his name unfortunately) was excellent, really knowledgeable and lovely and the city at night is incredible. Definitely would recommend.

This tour was so cool! We had Sarah and she was amazing. She really knew her history. She spoke very loud and clear so you could hear everything she said. She was fun to listen to and I learned so much about the dark side of Rome. I wouldn’t say this is “ghost” scary, but more about dark history, but I preferred that. I would recommend this tour.

Simon provided an excellent tour. He is articulate and humorous. He is attentive to his surroundings (noise etc.) and pivots the group for better hearing etc. I enjoyed the history lesson.

This evening tour with Maham was informative and fun. She is a wonderful guide who clearly enjoy what she does. My one issue, which was no fault of hers, was that it was often noisy in the streets and we really needed Whispers (the device was earbuds so the guide doesn't have to shout to be heard). I hope this will be added in the future. No guide should have to shout above street noise.

It was a very cool history tour. I love that it was dark and creepy. Dominica answered all our questions perfectly. I wore my aqua tofana shirt. I was so pleased to see where the cosmetics were sold. Who knew so many pope's were especially naughty as well. It was one of the highlights of our vacation.

I booked this with my 12 year old and I and we had a great time! Diletta was our guide and she was wonderful and entertaining and we could always hear her clearly. The tour is less haunting and more cool and spooky stories that you don't typically hear, but was still very interesting, we both loved it!

This tour was awesome. I am a big fan of history/ghost/crime tours, and what better place to do one of these than Rome. Diletta was our guide and she was awesome. Very knowledgeable, funny, and spoke clearly and in fluent English (although I practiced my Italian with her a couple times too). I really enjoyed this tour and I will recommend it to anyone looking for a fun walking tour in Rome.

Loved it. We did this tour on our 1st night in Rome. Our guide Clara was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, engaging and funny. It’s not really a ghost tour, but we learnt a lot of the history and characters of Rome. Would recommend
