Pompeii private tour

Our private tour included a private driver who met us at the train station. He was really nice and came and found us as we got turned around in the train station. He drove us to Herculaneum for us to walk through on our own before taking us to Pompeii. He recommended a great place for lunch and took us to meet our Pompeii guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about Pompeii. We enjoyed this experience very much.

Carmine was an amazing...

Carmine was an amazing guide. He was a wealth of knowledge and customized the tour to our preferences. Honestly I would book again with him so I could see additional parts of Pompeii, if our trip allowed it, because 3 hours still is not enough time to see everything. Even though the weather was rainy, that did not impact our experience at all. I learned so much on this tour and felt very comfortable asking all of my questions. I’d highly recommend.

10/10! Had the best time! Franco our tour guide for Pompeii was very knowledgeable. It was nice how he hit all of the important places but was able to navigate around the crowds so we never had to wait or get distracted by other groups. The wine/lunch portion was also amazing! An Unforgettable Visit to Pompeii — Highly Recommended! Visiting Pompeii was a fascinating experience and absolutely worth it. It’s one of those places where you discover so many things you never knew, and being there in person gives you a completely different perspective. We booked a guided tour in Spanish because some members of our group didn’t speak English, and it was an excellent decision. Our guide was outstanding! He was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and engagingly, and made the entire experience both educational and enjoyable. The length of the tour was just right, giving us enough time to explore and appreciate the site without feeling too long or exhausting. My biggest recommendation is to book the earliest morning tour possible. The sun can be incredibly strong, especially around midday. I would also suggest bringing a hat and sunscreen, regardless of the time of year you’re visiting. Pompeii is definitely a place worth experiencing, and having a knowledgeable guide makes all the difference. Great choice, consider that it is a challenging walk

Anna gave us an amazing tour! A dream to see and learn about this part of the ruins. 100% good choice to start your visit. 2 things Important to know This is a very challenging walk for those with mobility and endurance issues. The guides were very kind and accommodating providing a chair for our elder to rest at stops towards the end. But not easy. Second, make sure you know how to get back to an exit with transportation from the end point of the tour. We encountered about 10 of of the 25 people from our tour trying to find an exit up and down the streets after the tour. We walked for about an extra hour before finding help.

Excellent tour!

Michaela is a wonderful guide. She taught us so much about Pompeii and Herculaneum and did it with humor and insight. Her depth of knowledge is impressive, but the experience was never stuffy or dry! The logistics worked very well - from meeting the driver at the port to our return to the cruise terminal in plenty of time. One thing to be aware of is that the “small group tour” can have up to 18 or so people. However, Michaela handled the group well and I certainly felt that any questions were answered and we all got plenty of attention.

Amazing historic sites with a funny, knowledgeable guide

Perfect hassle free tour to take in Herculaneum and Pompeii in a day. I booked at last minute the night before - all details received quickly. Meeting point very easy to find and our guide Vincenze kept everything running to timetable right from the start. Very well organised, less than 20 in a group and a comfortable air conditioned minibus. In fact, the driver ( another Vincenze!)noticed the air con wasn't working well enough so whilst we toured Herculaneum, he swapped to another bus. Tour guide Vincenze knew his stuff! Not just about Pompeii and Herculaneum but also included information about the history and origins of traditional Neopolitan words and history. He was very flexible on the tour and made a point of jumping to see a not so busy feature so that we didn't have to wait. His knowledge and informative chat on the bus and also around the sites was engaging and I learnt so much more than I did before. Lunch was at own expense at a shopping complex just next to Pompei, Vincenze took us in and directed us to the food court. There was a whole range of places available Pompei was amazing, my childhood history lessons brought to life! I unfortunately have a knee injury which has left me using a crutch as it is quite unstable. Pompei was a struggle but had wanted to visit for 43 years so was determined to make it round. Also very relieved we had other Vincenze as our bus driver. After seeing the driving in Naples and reading some other reviews, I was quite anxious about the trip but we were in danger with Vincenze. I just want to say a huge thank you again to Vincenze x2 for making my long awaited visit and every bit of the tour memorable and enjoyable!

Pompeii was wonderful, but the trip to Sorrento was amazing. Lunch by the sea was delicious, and they catered to those with special needs or allergies. They were very attentive to detail. Luca was a wonderful guide. He played photographer for us at stopping points, and he saw to it that we sampled local specialties like pastries, coffees, and lemon ice (and limoncello). What a glorious day!

Combination Pompeii and Vesuvius tour

I did the combination tour with Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. After taking the guided tour in Pompeii, I can’t imagine trying to stumble my way through that amazing site without a guide. Their process is pretty easy to follow. Just make sure you’re there 15 minutes prior to the departure and everything will work out fine. There’s also a place to store your luggage for five dollars a bag. The Mount Vesuvius part of the tour wasn’t too physically taxing. They provide a shuttle and a guide for that as well. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends.
