Great tour

Hot day in Pisa! Dennis, our knowledge guide glided his way through the crowds and gave us excellent information on the baptistery, cathedral & the Leaning Tower! It was a very informative tour and we enjoyed ourselves. If you’re taking the train in for the tour, it’s about a 20 -25 minute walk to the meeting place. The stroll thru the centro is lovely. If it’s hot outside, bring a hat, or umbrella & a water bottle.

Awesome personal experience with private van driver!

This was an awesome experience! We thought we were getting a private van driver to Cinque Terre but got a personal tour guide as well! Raphael was so personal & knowledgeable!! He recommended a great place for lunch & we asked him to join us. Then at the end we stopped for some limoncello spritz & beer. Would definitely recommend asking for Raphael!!

Sasha was a great guide. You are pretty much in a small area with walking and hearing about Pisa and it's food. Come hungry. Like skip breakfast hungry. There is a lot of food and normal portions not just a small bite and different stops. I definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent informative tour of the main sites in Pisa’s Cathedral Square including climbing the tower

We had David as our tour guide and he is the best ‘Pisa Explorer’. David is knowledgeable and it was fortunate for us that only my friend and I were on the booked tour so for us it felt even more special to have a couple of hours with him enabling the tour to tailored at our pace and interests but covering everything it set outs to. We were met on time at the meeting point, he was politely and friendly and provided a headset so we could hear him clearly which is needed when going into the buildings with others visiting and having tours (often in other languages). He explained and provided so much info on the history of the leaning tower, cathedral, cemetery and baptistery. We learned so much and the time ran away with us, booking this tour provided us access into this main buildings with no queues, or extra entry costs so no time was lost in our first afternoon after arriving on Pisa at lunchtime. The tour we had booked also included climbing the Leaning Tower of Pisa and again no queueing and he gave us tips which meant we did not need to leave any personal property at storage facilities while we climbed the tour. I am so glad we booked a tour that included the climb. We had very nice weather on the day and could enjoy spectacular views from climbing the leaning tower too. It was wonderful to be taken into the Baptistery at a time when we could hear the acoustics from the demonstration which is provided (usually every 1/2 hr) when the Baptistery is open. If it was not for David and going on his tour, we would not have known about this or got the most informative tour. We 100% recommend this tour with David who offers other tours too and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. He had time to answer any questions, we did not feel rushed and had we not booked this tour, I would certainly never have learned so much and it left a lasting and unforgettable memory for me on this visit Pisa. Perspective changing!

Our guide, Luca, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time teaching us about the marble and its extraction. It was fascinating and really changed our perspective of everything else we saw while touring Italy. From churches to altars to statues - we saw everything with a different lens and more knowledge than had we not taken this tour. We highly recommend this little side trip to Carrara.

Vineyard tour

We were driven to the vineyard by our driver Tommi, who was very knowledgeable of the area. Excellent tour of this beautiful family vineyard in Tuscany. We met the family, and were shown around by a very knowledgeable guide. We learnt the whole process from growing the grapes, through to bottling. We tried several wines accompanied by local meats, cheeses and bread, followed by local honey and cake. We would highly recommend this tour. We visited in January, but the sun shone and we ate inside, in front of a lovely fire.

I absolutely loved this...

I absolutely loved this walking tour. David, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought Pisa’s history to life in such a fascinating way. He shared so much insight into why so many of Pisa’s buildings are tilted or sinking, the impact of the war, and how different civilisations shaped the city over time. The stories behind the Leaning Tower were really interesting, from why it was built where it was, how it was built, why it leans, to the modern engineering that’s made it safe to climb today. I was originally planning to visit Pisa on my own and had started researching what to see and do, but nothing I found online came close to the depth of understanding I gained from this tour. I walked away with such a richer appreciation of the city and its history. I’m so glad I joined. It really gave so much more meaning to my visit.

Incredible basilica with a super tour guide. Oh and there's a leaning tower too.

Of course, we all have to see the Tower - but in my opinion the Basilica steals the show. Absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Our guide Eloise successfully navigated our small group through the mobs getting their shots holding up the tower, while giving us a lot of great information. She was very kind and incredibly knowledgeable. If you're going to visit Pisa, I think you will be disappointed in your visit if you don't invest in a guided tour, a great guide like Eloise adds so much to the experience.
