I made pasta and had lunch with the very lovely Flora and Claudio, who were very hospitable and interesting hosts. As a solo guest I was made to feel welcome and thoroughly enjoyed making the food, as well as their company and beautiful home.

Excellent experience with the local people and their food. This was definitely a real cooking experience with tasty ingredients. Everything was to our liking and enjoyment, the pasta and the tiramisu were so delicious and fresh.

Absolutely incredible experience. Elena and her husband Silvia were so lovely and had so much knowledge about pasta and cooking in general. We made two different kinds of pasta and tiramisu in their beautiful home, then shared appetizers and wine around the table. Such genuine and kind people who made us laugh and smile the entire time. It was the highlight of our whole trip and I would definitely recommend.

Elena and her husband were wonderful hosts! So nice and friendly they made us feel like we were at old friends house very quickly. We learned how to make 2 different kind of pasta dough (1 with egg, 1 without), how to roll handmade and 1 with a machine. She educated me on the mushrooms and garlic in italy. Served us a fabulous bottle of white wine and spoke of a lot of interesting topics. It is very clear Elena is a natural teacher and has found her calling. Her passion for teaching and learning about others was amazing to witness. Best meal we had while in Pisa! Many thanks again Elena!

Elena was amazing! She welcomed us into her beautiful home. She explained the meaning of each dish and had us prepare the dishes, as well as cook it. The pasta dishes were delicious, along with the tiramisu. Elena is a true Italian women fully of warmth, charm and grace!! Loved the experience!

BEWARE OF FRAUD

We rented an apartment in Pisa and booked this cooking class, through the VIATOR app, because it was within walking distance. The day of the event, the cooking instructor changed the class location to a different town an additional 30 minutes away by car. We did not have a rental car, 2 different taxis said no, and Uber did not go there. By the time we could figure out a bus route, we were hours late. We were denied a refund by both the instructor and VIATOR staff, losing $737 Euro! Shame on both of them for this “bait and switch” FRAUD.

The experience didn’t happen. We booked the tour because we were in Pisa on a tight schedule. We actually had to reach out to the cooking teacher when we couldn’t find her near the originally advertised meeting place. The woman barely spoke English but we did find out that she did not live anywhere near Pisa and was 20 km away from the spot we were standing 10 minutes prior to the class start time. There was no chance of doing the class as we were scheduled to take a train back to the cruise ship we were on it the ship would have left the port without us. I contacted Viator and got no return reply so I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. I expected better from what I thought was a high end tour company. Dennis

What A Beautiful Time! Elena Was Our Host & She Was Just The Sweetest & Made Us Feel So Welcome In Her Home. It Was Just My Husband & I, We Cooked Delicious Gnochhi With Pistachio Pesto, Pici With Tomato Sauce & Ofcourse The Tiramasu. Everything Was Amazing! & We Can't Wait To Cook For Our Family Back Home. If You're Looking For A True Italian Culinary Experience, This Is The One!

Flora (& Claudio!) were AMAZING. Super nice, very informative & helpful- we made two types of pasta & tiramisu. Was all very delicious plus she had made us an appetizer and provided plenty of bread & wine. We had a wonderful time & stayed longer because we were enjoying them so much 🥰 it was just my husband and I which made it so cozy.

Absolute highlight of our visit to Italy. Our host warmly welcomed us into her home and got us straight into preparing the tirasmu and pasta. The subsequent dinner was an authentic italian home cooked meal with drinks, which exceed our expectations. We'd recommend anyone who was considering doing this experience in Pisa to go for it! You will not be disappointed.

Flora welcomed us to her home most warmly and cooked truly delicious food. She was very patient when showing us what to do, particularly with my 12 year old son, and she is very knowledgeable about Italian food and seasonal ingredients. Our time with her was a real highlight of our stay in Pisa and we are looking forward to trying to recreate some of the dishes at home!
