100% worth the money. Very cool experience and the staff was very knowledgeable. Felt very safe at all times and could not believe how much space we all had to look out into the ocean. Saw a turtle, multiple eels and tons of fish. The artificial reef was amazing. Check this off your bucket list!

There was many fish and it was very cool I saw an eel and an abandoned ship. There was a spongebob printed on the ship. We saw the sea ground and lots of coral reefs. There was a lot of schools of fish and there was one fish that stayed close to the submarine

Imagine exploring the ocean floor without getting wet. On this submarine tour in Maui, you can descend over 100 feet (30m) in an air-conditioned sub and press your face against circular portholes in search of reef sharks and fish. Itinerary

The Maui Atlantis Submarine tour begins in Lahaina Harbor, where an open-air cruise brings you out to the dive site and submarine. Transfer aboard the state-of-the-art, air-conditioned submarine for an aquatic experience in search of wild marine life.

In 2005, an old whaling ship, the Carthaginian, was scuttled off Lahaina, and today it serves as an artificial reef for colorful coral and fish. Prior to its scuttling in 2005, this area was a sandy bottom with very little marine life, and today it is home to indigenous fish and a vibrant coral reef.

In winter, from December to May, there’s even the chance of spotting whales on the journey out to the sub, and you never know if one might pay a visit while underwater!

Our family was looking for a spontaneous adventure, and we couldn't think of a better way to spend the day than revisiting a favorite memory. My wife and I had done this submarine tour back in 2007, and we were thrilled to bring the whole family back to experience it again. What made it even more special? The same captain from our 2007 trip was at the helm — a wonderful full-circle moment that made the experience feel truly personal. The tour runs about an hour and a half and is packed with incredible sights. We spotted eels, a wide variety of colorful fish, and were treated to an underwater world that left everyone in awe. The entire crew was warm, welcoming, and genuinely knowledgeable — they kept everyone engaged throughout the journey. If you're visiting with kids, especially young ones, this is an absolute must-do. It's the kind of experience that sparks a love for the ocean and creates memories that last — clearly, for us, nearly two decades! And for everything it offers, we found it to be very reasonably priced. Highly recommend for families, couples, and first-timers alike!

This was an incredible experience, and the kids and I absolutely loved every minute of it! We packed our time in Maui with some amazing excursions, and every one of them was memorable. But descending 100 feet beneath the ocean in a submarine was, without question, the coolest experience of the trip. My wife and I kept it a surprise until we were on the boat heading out to the submarine. The kids guessed all kinds of adventures, but riding in a real submarine never even crossed their minds. Seeing the look on their faces when they realized what we were about to do is a memory I’ll never forget. Thank you for this truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was an adventure our family will be talking about for years to come!

We had a wonderful submarine experience. The pilot was excellent and communicated clearly throughout the tour, making it enjoyable and informative. Children under 3 years old are allowed as long as they are taller than 36 inches, which was great for our family. We saw lots of colorful fish and marine life. Fish City plus Dolphins!

So cool! Dolphins were swimming right next to the boat as we were loading up and were right in our viewing area. Swimming so close to the bottom near the reef was really neat. The wrecked ship had so many marine life & coral living in it. It was like fish city 🐟

I don’t do well on the water. But IN the water is different. Not only did my 11 year old son and I learn about the ocean and all that is within, but we had a great time. The crew of the Atlantis IX made it so much fun. My son began telling anyone who’d listen, and some who were just being polite, all about coral, eagle rays, and sunken ships. Highly recommend to anyone, especially those unfortunate souls, like me, who are not meant for the sea.

We decided to do the Atlantis Submarine experience in Lahaina, and it was absolutely incredible. They took us 133 feet underwater, and the world we saw down there was just amazing. It is so incredibly peaceful and calm beneath the surface. We are so grateful for this submarine, as it gave us the rare opportunity to see such a beautiful underwater world that we otherwise would never have experienced. Highly recommend!

It’s actually a real submarine that just stands down 142 feet to see the fish in the coral anchors and shipwreck. It was great.

It was a great experience, saw a sea turtle, lots of fish, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, would definitely recommend do it again
