What a great trip. We had a man telling us about the Lisbon , who was very warm & funny but knowledgeable. Then we went on the water and drove past some fantastic buildings with commentary again. Lasts about 1.5 hours in total and was a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend doing this if in Lisbon

Our driver Ania made the whole experience absolutely unforgettable — warm, knowledgeable, and full of historical facts and fascinating stories you’d never find in a guidebook. Every viewpoint and cobbled alley came with local insight and personality. Ania adapted the tour to our interests, never rushed us, and made sure we got the perfect photo spots along the way. It felt less like a tourist tour and more like being shown around by a local friend. Highly recommend!

A Wonderful Experience

The small group of eight was a perfect size. Andre, our guide, is the owner of Portuguese For a Day Tours and a native of Lisbon. He shared his knowledge of Lisbon and Sintra with the group and answered any questions that we had. Starting the tour early in the day is a good idea to avoid some of the crowds in Sintra. There is a LOT of walking uphill and then downhill on this tour. So be aware. The guide was patient when we needed so slow down or stop and rest during the climb. On the drive back to Lisbon, he shared recommendations for places to eat and shopping in Lisbon. I highly recommend this tour .

A Fascinating Trip to Sintra

Laurence was our driver and guide for this wonderful tour. He communicated with us a day before and arrived promptly to pick us up in our hotel lobby. He drove very safely on the narrow and winding roads in Sintra. He is very knowledgeable about Sintra. He explained clearly about the historical background related to each Palace. He was always waiting for us as we finished our visits. He reserved a beautiful sea side restaurant for lunch. After the day tour he brought us back to our hotel on time. He was enthusiastic to explain things and his communication skills were excellent!

Our guide was very good at all that she had her hands full of that day. The day began for all 8 of us with the surprise of having to share what we expected would be an all English tour with a group of 6 from Brazil. Wow! At first I thought it was a stroke of luck for her, only to find out much later in the day just have difficult languages can be. She was awesome. Brava to her linguistic "chops". She quite easily spoke in Brazilian Portuguese AND English for the entire time. She obviously knows a lot about her country and we were blessed to have her company for the day. We finished our day truly enlightened by the new things that we learned about Portugal.

Paolo was our driver and he was terrific! Very informative but also warm and personable. I can’t say enough about him! He was very engaging and fun to be with. The trip itself was well planned with a mix of free time and guided tours. And the sites we saw were just stunning. If you are planning to go to Sintra, do not attempt it on your own - go with someone who knows what they are doing. Our tour was a full day and included four stops, all of which were stunning. All-in-all - a great day.

Great tour at multiple locations!

This was a very nice tour! Our guide was quite knowledgeable and navigated the streets and highways quite deftly and safely. Very comfortable and clean vehicle. Nazare and Obidos were our favorite stops, but all the stops contributed to a nice day. Just enough time at each one. Our lunch in Nazare (tour guide recommendation) was awesome! Would definitely recommend this one.

Interesting experience. The palace is fantastic. The view of the farest west point of Eurobean land is awsome. The tour guide explains every thing in English then in french because we had half of the team from Australia and half from the french Canada. Since I speak both english and French, I heared eveything twice. Interesting!
