The half day tour of historical Sintra and the castles was beyond our expectations. Our group was small, only 8 people. Our guide, Bart was exceptionally thorough - provided historical background with detail yet not overwhelming. He was a Great storyteller and very receptive in meeting groups requests and questions. Miguel was great. He pre-arranged all the tickets and allowed flexibility in our schedule. He was always eager to take pictures for us. He dropped us off as close to our destination as possible, so we did less walking than I was expecting. He explained everything that we were seeing. He really knows Portuguese history. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The Pena palace was beautiful, and Cascais was phenomenal. My wife and I are considering staying there for six months in an Airbnb. Ricardo was great. He was knowledgeable about all parts of the tour and the history. My wife started feeling a little under the weather, and Ricardo was great about changing the itinerary so that we got the best bang for our buck. Thank you, Ricardo. The only very minor criticism I have was the van had an odor of cigarette smoke in it. But the tour and the guide were great. So it gets a full five stars from me!

Views Forever!

Leo gave us a fantastic tour. He was very accommodating and adjusted the trip to do things that we were interested in. He was very knowledgeable about the history. The views were absolutely incredible, and the walk-through the garden away from the crowd was the bonus of the day. Our family highly recommends this tour. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes! Great personal guide

Joao (John) was an excellent guide! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and had lots of recommendations for our remaining trip. We had a quick tour of Sintra, then Quinta da Regaleira where we really enjoyed the Initiation Well, caves, and lush gardens. John then took us to the coast and Cape Roca Lighthouse for incredible views. Told us about Azenhas do Mar Restaurante and the viewpoint and beach there. We decided to have dinner there, which turned out to be the best meal we have had on our trip! Great views of the Atlantic too. Highly recommend this private tour guide and leave the driving to John! You won't be disappointed!

November 27, 2025 my husband and I took this jeep tour. Alex was our jeep driver and tour guide. He was fabulous! This tour was my favorite of our stay in Portugal! Alex is very knowledgeable of the history of Portugal - He was a wonderful guide! I highly recommend this tour ask for Alex!
