This option is designed for travellers who prefer a lower price and can meet us at one of the listed points instead of using hotel pickup. The meeting-point system keeps the early-morning route simpler, more direct and more reliable. Hotel pickup and hotel drop-off are not included. Return transfer is included back to the same meeting point after sunrise. We normally go to Pico do Arieiro, but if weather or visibility conditions are not favourable, an alternative viewpoint may be used to provide the best possible experience. Best driver ever!

Omg LOVED this trip! Our guide, Graham, is the best! He is superior with his driving skills and we went on some amazing roads that definitely required top notch talent! It was an amazing...

It was an amazing experience and definitely one of the highlights of our Madeira trip. The activity was very well organised, and the staff were very friendly. I just have one suggestion. At the end, when the experts summarised the experience and talked about the animals we saw, it would have been great if they had used a microphone, as most of us could not hear what they were saying.

Fun - got to see a lot!

Hubby & I were there for the day off of a cruise. The company picked us up at the ship = very convenient! It was a fairly long day with lots of stops & photo ops. If you end up in the rear of the jeep - it’s a very tight fit. My neck hurt a wee bit at the end from trying to duck down under the roll bars of the jeep to see the sights. We enjoyed the route we went on & Alex was a good driver/ tour guide.

Fantastic Island Tour

Luís is an amazing tour guide! The trip around the Island was seamless and thoroughly enjoyable. He made extra stops for us to check out a rum factory and for lunch. He gave us a lovely picnic with local fares and water. His English was excellent and the history lessons were fantastic! Best tour ever! Highly recommend doing this!

Wet and windy but worth it

It was a great hike but conditions were less than perfect!! High winds, rain and fog! It was freezing and we were not prepared for the cold and wet! We didn’t do PR1 as it was too windy and we couldn’t see a thing but we took the extra time coming down PR3, which was pretty cool, great views when the cloud and fog cleared. But no one warned us about the 5 streams you need to walk through!! The cafe at the end was amazing - great food and comfy to rest! Amazing adventure! Also shoutout to Christiano, our driver, great guy! He said he’d done PR1 in worse weather haha!!

Great experience with an amazing guide

David was amazing and the tour itself was exactly what we wanted. We didn't get to see the sunrise due to weather conditions however David drove us to another spot below the clouds to watch it and then drove us back to the trail. Overall would recommend the experience to anyone thinking of booking
