Évora's famous Roman Temple survived two thousand years because it spent centuries disguised as a slaughterhouse. This self-guided audio tour of Évora, delivered through the Tourific app, takes you through stories of Roman, Moorish, and medieval history across the UNESCO-listed old city. Hear how Vasco da Gama blessed his fleet's banners in the cathedral, why Portuguese students inspired Hogwarts robes, and the hidden message of the Chapel of Bones. The route winds from the university to the Acropolis, past azulejo-covered churches, cork artisan shops, and atmospheric squares — finishing in leafy palace gardens. No fixed schedule, no group to keep pace with. Start when you like, pause for a long lunch of Alentejano pork and clams, and pick up right where you left off — the audio works offline. Over 20,000 travelers have used the self-guided tours, with a full refund guarantee.

Évora Evening Bites is a food and drink walk through the heart of Évora, designed for travelers who want to eat and drink like a local, not just pass through. As golden hour settles over the city, your guide leads you through Évora’s UNESCO-listed historic center, ducking into family-run tascos, wine bars, and pastelarias that most visitors never find. Across 4 carefully chosen tasting stops, you’ll try the dishes and drinks locals actually order: robust Alentejo wines, craft beers, proper Alentejo plates, the ones locals actually eat, and conventual sweets made the same way they’ve been made for centuries. History shows up along the way, but always in service of the food. Every bite has a story. Every stop is chosen for taste first. The whole experience moves to the Alentejo rhythm of vagar: unhurried, generous, and meant to be savored.
