Memorable Experience

Fantastic experience! Among the 10 tours we did on our 2 week trip to Spain & Portugal, this was probably the single greatest highlight. So peaceful and serene at sunrise, we were the only group out on the water at that time. We were fortunate that the weather cooperated and we experienced a beautiful sunrise visiting numerous caves, Benagil among them. Could not ask for a better guide in Bruno. This was such a great experience. I had friends who did other tours on catamarans and they said they didn't love their experience. I'm so glad I went with this company, we were able to get up close and personal to the caves and grottos. You really can't beat the value for money.

Great Tour!

Amazing experience

This is an amazing experience, super relaxing. We got to see the incredible coast line of Lagos, gorgeous views. Great cruise along amazing Algarve coast line and exceptional crew

Great option for those who are not comfortable taking a kayak or small boat. This boat can't go into all the caves but still a very close up view of the various rock formations and coast line. The crew provided wonderful service with small Lunch, snacks any plenty of beverages. There is time for a swim in the brisk waters as well.

Great trip, entertaining guide!

There are many companies out there offering what look like similar trips but Atlantis Tours seem able to do it at more affordable prices then others. The meeting point can feel a little chaotic but the staff there are friendly, put you in your groups and send you on your way without issue. A lot of your trip will come down to the skill of the skipper and the charm of the guide, and we lucked in! The skipper navigated the caves with precision and the guide was informative and charismatic, which can’t be easy having to maintain the enthusiasm every outing! We were with Nuno the skipper and a young lad from Africa, said he was the African shark and the African Michelangelo, as the guide, name escapes me - sorry! Both brilliant. We had a great trip. It’s maybe shorter then other trips and, it’s a sizeable operation, but it works and we enjoyed it.

Stunning caves and shoreline

If there is one experience you shouldn’t miss in Lagos, it’s the boat ride to these caves. Stunning is the only word for it. The majestic shoreline of cliffs and caves you can experience, is like nothing else we have seen. There are a string of caves where the boat operators will take you into. If you are lucky (like we were), you will be able to see a lot of dolphins while going to these caves.

A fabulous experience, thoroughly recommended!!

We had an amazing kayaking experience, from start to finish. My teenage children and us loved being on the kayaks and visiting the stunning caves around Lagos, truly the best way to see the amazing coastline of the Algarve. Everything was incredibly well organised and punctual and the guides were attentive, welcoming, knowledgeable and funny! We chose the 5pm start, which was great, as it was not too hot by then. A real highlight was swimming off the boat afterwards. We did not feel rushed at all, it was a memorable experience and would love to go back and do it all again. Thank you!

Highlight of our trip to Algarve!

Absolute highlight of our trip to date. Ivan was an amazing skipper, the boat was beautiful. Tour of Ponte de Piedade with amazing cove and bay stops. Excellent for couples and families. We had two kids- ages 5 and 7- and they had a blast. Cannot recommend this enough! It was amazing!

Excellent trip with Benagil Kayaks

Excellent experience with Benagil Kayaks. David our guide was brilliant and very informative throughout. We were a small group of only 3 kayaks which was brilliant as we moved quickly between caves and beaches not having to wait on multiple other kayaks. Luckily we were there during low tide so were able to enter Pirate's cave and get onto the beach (not possible at high tide). Parking in the area is pretty crazy, we booked the 10am trip and were able to get a space in the large paid carpark nearby. When we returned to the beach at 12pm it was an awful lot busier. Would recommend an early morning trip, especially with children. Highly recommend booking with Benagil Kayaks.

Fabulous trip to the caves

Lovely crew, nice sized catamaran with lots of seating on two decks. One of the crew gives an amusing commentary about the various caves, hilights and attractions in three languages, Portuguese, English and French, although I understand he speaks Spanish too. There was also an opportunity to swim for those that wanted to. Well worth the small amount of money for 2 1/2 hours on the water.

Well done Ricardo!

To find the place: take the walkway to the bottom left of the carpark, you'll see a building on the beach and you'll find the kayaks there. Unfortunately the beach was covered in sargassum but Ricardo took the kayaks to the next door beach. We had to climb through a large hole and down a path...made everything feel like an adventure so great fun and cool as.... Ricardo doesn't speak much English but he tried and he is a brilliant photographer so we now have some fabulous photos and memories. It felt like a small business so only 2 kayaks plus Ricardo but it was way better than being at Benagil beach where it was like a kayak cattle market. (We got an uber there after for €3.50). There were so many kayaks at Benagil beach it made it feel like mayhem. So, to sum up....Ricardo did everything he could to get the kayaks to the other beach, he was very kind and chilled and we loved it! Signed: 2 girls in their 50's loving life!
