Good way to see all the sights
Great experience with so much to see. Amazing day with a great guide. Brought our toddler with us and she had a good time. Clean van.

Most memorable experience of my trip!
A remarkable Etna tour: walking among dramatic recent craters and real volcanic terrain was unforgettable. Our guide was exceptionally good, attentive and thoughtful, and paid particular attention to my safety as we hiked up the south side of the volcano. A delicious tasting at a beautiful local enoteca with a shop full of amazing local produce completed an excursion I will never forget.

A great day trip
A great day. The walk on Etna was a bit of a challenge in part but our guide Itala was fantastic. She helped me down some steep slopes and paced the walk well considering her participants safety and skills. She was also a great driver. Two hours in Taormina was enough time to see a couple of the sites.

Enjoyable experience
The tour was great and very well organized. Our guide Pepe was knowledgeable and friendly, and we really enjoyed learning about the area. Unfortunately, due to heavy snow, we weren’t able to climb Mt. Etna as planned, but this was for safety reasons and understandable. Taormina village was absolutely beautiful and made the day very worthwhile. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and still highly recommended.

Must do in Taormina
We had Antonio as our guide and he was fantastic, from the beginning pick up to all the knowledge he had throughout the day. Gambino wines was a lovely wine tasting - very generous! And the beautiful lunch followed after was a perfect way to wrap up the day. If you are a wine fiend this is one to do!

Etna 3000 m with a guide
It was not easy. On 3000 m I had problems with a headache and a pressure. The landscape is nice, but on the top its not more interesting than on 2000 m. The guide was great. Maybe it was a bit to ling trekking, 3 hours would be just enough.

The guide for Mt Etna was...
The guide for Mt Etna was very passionate about archaeology and the history of volcanoes. We had a great time exploring the site and the caves. The tour guide was extremely cautious, knowledgeable and helpful.

You Must Do This!
I' so glad I took this tour! I've been wanting to visit Mt. Etna for years! Unfortunately, I was not ready to trek up the crater with the rest of the group (it might be considered a "moderate" hike), but enjoyed sitting and experiencing the location. Our guide, Stefano, was fantastic! He had a deep knowledge of the volcano and its history. The wine and food pairing was perfect. Great food, nice wines, and the location was fantastic! I highly recommend this tour!

Etna with Alessandro!
Alessandro was awesome! He was very informative, knowledgeable, engaging and funny. We really enjoyed his passion for vulcanology and all the friends he introduced us to while teaching about Sicilian culture.

When to visit

If you’re exploring Mount Etna on foot, be sure to wear appropriate shoes, a hat, and sunblock, and carry ample water.
You’ll want to capture the breathtaking sunset views; don’t forget your camera.
For kids, a visit to the volcano can be a welcome break from sightseeing, so consider a family-friendly hike or fun 4x4 tour.
The cable car stations are accessible to wheelchair users, as is one mountain trail.
There is only one public bus daily from Catania to Mount Etna, so it’s best to visit on a private tour that includes transportation to the mountain.
